  1. Winner winner chicken dinner right there
  2. Do you remember marrone? Nothing is going on in Jacksonville he’s not in support of. He’s a complete control freak in every aspect of his team. Those players quit on him. This year has been a mess but other than their deep playoff run the team doesn’t play hard for him. They have made a lot of moves that just look terrible. I can’t believe for a moment marrone didn’t sign off on signing Foles. Or trading Ramsey. I mean Coughlin I’m sure is not free of blame in the mess. But those two were a match made in heaven. No way Coughlin is making these moves and Doug isn’t in support.
  3. This.. I fully agree.
  4. It’s an awfully big wish list. To sign shaq and Phillips and add possibly the top pass rusher available. That’s a ridiculous amount of money on the defensive line. One of our guys showed stars contract the other day and cutting him this offseason ain’t happening with that much dead money. I don’t know Hughes extension ramifications if he’s cut. To sign all these guys everyone wants even after cutting Murphy, you’re looking at a 60-70 million dollar defensive line. Nobody does that. Possibly the least smartest idea we’ve floated on here. They can find a decent to great pass rusher in the draft, or one of Beanes famous under the radar signings.
  5. I can’t believe so many people are offended. These guys are paid to run their mouths. Last year they all smashed on Lamar and how bad he sucked in the playoffs. This year, omg Lamar is changing the game and a true generational talent. They are complete extreme one side or another. The same tv guys talking bad about Allen will love him more than anything if/when he shows up in the playoffs. We watch his games, they do not. We see some little things they do not. Nothing to get all worked up over. Look at some of your possible playoff quarterbacks. Tannehill maybe Jimmy G Wentz maybe Goff maybe These are all guys smashed in the media at one point or another and also loved at times as the next great thing, and all of them have shown to put up great stats at times and also fall apart. We love Allen, his leadership and toughness and ability to truly take over a game when it matters most. But just read the stat lines, cause that’s mostly all the tv guys do. If you’re reading strictly stats on a paper of the offense we look pretty bad. Not even top 20 in tons of categories. It’s not a shock they think Allen isn’t very good.
  6. Lol people hated Ivory too. Anybody wish we had Peerless Price still?
  7. Long time coming. They’re a mess. Marrone lost the team. They had one run with that defense and everything fell apart. That epic failure so many have had chasing their tail every year trying to get a decent quarterback
  8. Is there anything else we can possibly be offended by on here this week? Awful lot of whining going on for a playoff team. They can all stamp their marks this year and have an opportunity to gain a whole new set of fans. To give the media more to talk about. They’re starting to pay attention and recognize buffalo as a threat to the favored top teams. One step at a time guys. One game at a time. We have the ability to dominate at times and also lay a complete dud occasionally. Let Baltimore and Kansas City have all the love, as long as we beat them in the playoffs none of this other stuff matters. If you want to be treated like other teams you gotta beat them. I can understand we need things to chat about on here but we’re really nitpicking about being so offended over commentators and talking heads on tv shows and popularity votes. It’s Christmas, be thankful for what we have and not what we’re missing. For 20 years football is usually over for us before December even starts. Best fan base in the country in my opinion. Go Buffalo!!
  9. The nicest thing I can say for Lawson is his play has gotten better every year he’s been here. Question is, has he peaked? He was knocked for being injury prone. Been healthy for a bit now. Knocked for no pass rush, but he’s getting home quite a bit now. He is obviously quite stout against the run, and I thought he played his best game ever against Baltimore. Looking back they should of taken the 5th year option. One more year of decent production was worth it to see how much better he may or may not be. Just my own opinion but it looks to me like he found a gear he’s never used before. That would probably be on the coaches for getting the most out of him. I don’t have a high value for him or Phillips. Good players. Not break the bank players.
  10. Depending on what Atlanta does you may be able to do player(s) and picks. We may have some youngish players they’d like. Theilen and Diggs could be made available. AJ Green should hit free agency. He’s been playing cinci all year not wasting time playing on a dead team. If they franchise him they’d probably trade him for a mid pick 3-4 range but then you gotta pay the man. I could never support AB in the league again. Guy has lost his mind. He’s toxic. His head is so big now I would not be surprised if he never plays a meaningful down again. As for speedy not sure you’ll find someone that much faster than Brown. We haven’t seen it but that guy can burn down the sideline as good as anyone. Regardless they will be adding to the receiver room in the draft. I have zero doubts they’ll target at least one receiver for the draft even if they don’t use him much right away. I would expect Beane has a lot of ideas. He’s put in serious work and now he gets to have a little fun in a GM fantasy draft kind of perspective. I don’t think anyone is off the table when it comes to elite or impact players. He can burn a 1st rounder and even has a few players as trade bait. Obviously enough cap to absorb whatever contract he wants. If it’s me, I would sign Derrick Henry if he hits free agency for big money. I would throw my first rounder and more if needed at Detroit to grab Kenny Golloday. I would sign Shaq Lawson back and franchise Jordan Phillips seeing if he can do it one more year. Use the remaining draft picks on depth and the best pass rusher they have rated on their board available to them. And then I turned madden off.
  11. It’s not the numbers WE need to see because we watch the team and see the effect. Pro bowl is popularity, Buffalo is not a fantasy football team and those are generally the most popular players. And I’d be willing to bet my tax return 85% of America has zero clue who Matt Milano or Jordan Poyer are and that they are starting players for the buffalo bills. So there’s no way they are getting votes from non bills fans. Milano is a stud, my nephew who is a giant Carolina fan watched 1-2 bills games this year and all he could talk about was how Milano jumps off the screen repeatedly. They just don’t have the name recognition other teams do. Baltimore, Kansas City and New England are the most popular teams in the league so their players will always be picked first in a popularity vote. If josh Allen was a better fantasy football player (I know it don’t matter to us) he would be a huge star similar to Lamar this season and people would love him without even seeing him play.
  12. Head coaching gig or not I’m a daboll supporter kinda but if the offense stays as bad as it has been and into the playoffs I do not think his job is safe for next year. Just my opinion but I felt like he did a much better job last season with less talent than he’s done this year. You have to think they expected more from the offense with Allen in year two and the additions they made. Not dogging him out the offense has been hit and miss and when they’re on they look pretty good. His play calls have been maddening though this entire season
  13. None of those guys have pro bowl numbers. And they surely don’t have any star power to get non buffalo fans voting for them
  14. That’s what I was thinking. Smoke might be deserving but he’s not a fantasy football stud so not a lot of people pay attention. Jordan Phillips probably as well. Outside of that I can’t really make a case for anyone else
  15. I could be wrong but shaq seems to be lining up a lot more in Hughes spot. And I could also be wrong but he looks like he gets a lot better pass rush from that side. I don’t know the exact snap counts or nothing though. I like the rotations on the line this year. Murphy has been the obvious weak link. Although he has made a few nice plays too. I have faith they are going to want to keep as much continuity as possible on the defense and just sprinkle in a couple new faces. They have stayed quite healthy so far and have really gelled as a unit. There should not be a ton of turnover. As others have said we have a pretty nice roster I would like to think this next offseason is looking to add 2-3 real impact players, and everything else mostly for depth and future replacements. We’re in great shape for this offseason.
  16. Watt is going to regret throwing those punches so hard. I can respect trying to cause the fumbles but he’s going to shatter that hand at some point.
  17. He cares nothing of buffalo or the state of the team. He’s playing for strictly ego at this point. He wants to be the best ever. Hold as many records as possible. And it seems very important to him to prove he can play at ages nobody thought was possible. I can absolutely see him playing next year and I don’t think he’ll even care to leave New England.
  18. He’s been quite solid the second half of the season so far. Might not be a coincidence that when Nsekhe went down Ford has stepped up.
  19. I’m hoping for a house cleaning I like Atlanta. What wasted talent there. I can see them not going full rebuild and just trying to solidify the defense though. Seems to be the smart route. How can a team with Julio, Ridley, and hooper not be an offensive juggernaut? The defense has always been suspect. Hindsight they were only good with shanahan and been kinda crappy every other year
  20. Not sure Julio has 5 years left lol but he is pretty amazing. And god only knows what’s about to happen in Atlanta. Is just Quinn being fired or the gm too? They could easily move some pieces and try and get younger. Or hire a coach who wants to run the ball.
  21. I don’t know we need an elite receiver. I would be happy for an Alshon Jeffrey or Keenan Allen type guy. Just below the elites with injury concerns. We want someone with reliable hands who can make clutch catches right? I’m ok with either option rather it’s trade or draft. Our current state I think it’s smarter to just trade for someone at least we know what we’re getting as opposed to the crap shoot of developing someone and seeing the usual rookie mistakes. I was only pointing out we can’t say there won’t be anyone available when the season isn’t even over yet. Once gm’s and or coaches get fired lot of options can open up for free agency and trades. Some teams out there cap strapped and about to be taken over by new regimes may fire sale similar to us when Beane took over.
  22. Amari and OBJ were traded.. There wasn’t surprise cuts at receiver last offseason that I can remember. Lot of potential cut targets this offseason. Vikings aren’t keeping Thielen Diggs and Rudolph for one example. Some of the Jet guys may get cut loose, Chargers may fire sale depending on their offseason etc etc etc.. Too early to say there won’t be anyone in free agency
  23. How can you even say that? Every year there’s tons of surprise cuts people don’t expect. And now trades are happening like crazy too.
  24. We have one thread saying mcdermott is an elite coach. More threads and pages about the active roster than I can count. Have a little faith here, these coaches are not stupid. They see duke and Yeldon almost everyday all season and the work they do in film and practice there has to be a reason they decide they cannot help the team on game day. They always stick to their plan regardless of what fans say. How many times can we beat this to death and debate over a 27? year old rookie and a receiving back with a mediocre background? Im all for them getting a chance to play but damn we have beaten this horse to death, just to start more threads and beat those to death. It’s the same argument in most threads. In the end josh has plenty of weapons at his disposal if he actually uses them and you have to think if he felt duke was a piece he needed on the field he would be harassing the staff to activate him. Rather it’s daboll holding him back, or josh not being able to see the field and make the correct reads, or whatever we have beaten every point to death on those inactive roster guys
  25. Well said. Years past this is normal prep time So Hughes, Star, Lawson, J Phillips and the Jaguars guy all on this team at the same time? that’s going to be the most expensive line in history and not even including the other guys like Oliver and H Phillips. Better be the most elite pass rush ever created
