KC is probably the only team that really scares me. Andy Reid really has all the pieces to make that scheme work. They don’t even need to run the ball just send 5 guys out and someone is always wide open. I do not like our D against them. Mahomes will eat the zone between the linebackers and safeties all day long. If the safeties cheat up he’ll go over the top. Just a crazy good job of matching players to fit scheme over there.

Well said. Same few guys have a lot to say when there’s a loss and how they know so much and can fix the team. Yet when the bills win they run their mouth in game day threads and have nothing else to say during the week. Classic children yelling “LOOK AT ME LOOK AT ME ? “
-
They deserve it. They should of been sitting starters a little earlier this week and last week. They ran the starters into the 4th against the jets and it was way over. Today a little closer of a game but they continue to play their stars.

I don’t disagree. I’ve had my issues with formations and keeping defenses off balance. And I’ve said I thought daboll did a much better job last year with less talent than he has this year. And I would expect he may be coaching for his job in the playoffs. If the offense continues to hold the team back and look so pathetic it would be hard to defend bringing him back next year. But I can also see the arguments it’s not just on him. Allen misses a lot of reads and throws. The line has spells where they can’t block anything. The receivers have dropped the easiest of passes. Hard to have any rhythm on offense when the issues above happen or there’s penalties. My biggest complaint is we have 3 receiving targets. And that’s it. Not because nobody else can do anything but either Allen won’t throw to them or daboll does not utilize them in the playbook. There’s no way Foster, McKenzie, Kroft and singletary cannot be used more in the pass game. And I’ll leave duke or Yeldon off the list since they’re inactive. McKenzie is literally just a decoy 95% of the time. I rarely see Kroft run a route and when I do Allen is not looking. Singletary is open in the flat and we don’t toss it knowing he can juke the first guy and get some yards after. It’s a perfect storm of madness all season even the good games.

Ummmm I have mostly supported daboll. My point was if Allen hits those two passes to Knox we don’t have pages and pages of daboll needs to go. We lost and there needs to be some whipping boys for the week. I have defended him quite a bit and he’s a little sketchy at times and stubborn but he’s had this offense in position to win every game minus maybe philly. Daboll and Allen go hand in hand and are not playing well off of each other or making each other look better. Daboll hamstrings Allen with play calling at times and Allen hamstrings dabolls playcalling at times.

Is There a Chance McD Threw the Game Yesterday?
Rc2catch replied to Irv's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Buffalo wanted to win that game for lots of reasons. /end thread -
I was going to take the day off, especially since my super bowl in fantasy I’m facing Lamar against Cleveland ? two week format and Lamar killed it last week against the Jets but I somehow finished tied. And just in case anyone cares, I took josh Allen 4th overall in my draft and was laughed at. Deservedly so. But I said all year ride or die with Allen and started him every week somehow made it to the super bowl.

If you could swap QBs with any team right now

Might be flamed but I’m not taking Jackson or Mahomes. One good year for each I’m not crowning them for anything in the future. They have stable coaching staffs, great great schemes. We have not seen what they do if they lose key pieces, or maybe a coaching change.. Mahomes while still good this season has not looked like he did last year, rather it’s injuries or the scheme not being as successful. Can he be this good if say kelce was traded or on IR? Can Jackson be as good if Roman gets a head coaching look in say Carolina? Im not taking either guy...... Yet. I would however trade Allen for Russel Wilson. Instead I’d prefer they just make friends and hangout together all offseason long. Allen should be modeling his game after Wilson and Aaron Rodgers. Just my 2 cents. -
I’m still torn. I kinda want to run Allen out there for 50 passes. Just air it out non stop good or bad. Activate all offense and just pretend you’re down 21 the whole game. I know it’s dumb to risk injury and the jets are kinda dirty. But just once I’d like to just run him out there, and open the whole playbook and let it fly. The game don’t matter, the reps in a live game situation do. Throw it all over. Run screens, throw deep balls and contested lob passes. Just sling it. But the smart move is rest up and take the extra week of preparation

I don’t disagree, upgrades can be made. Im not cool with cutting Hughes, Star (even though he doesn’t bring a ton the savings isn’t worth it) letting shaq walk.. Too many pieces to lose. Too many new guys to fit into what is already a great group. Just me, but I’m keeping everyone minus Murphy. I’m signing shaq, possibly franchising Jordan Phillips, cutting Trent Murphy. And finding someone in the draft to take Murphy’s spot in the rotation. I don’t think Murphy is as terrible as some make him out to be, but he’s definitely not making much of an impact given how many snaps he gets. My biggest beef or concerns are changing too much. We didn’t pressure Brady last night so I get people being upset and wanting a better rush. But we’re not at a defcon 4 blow up the defensive line status either
-
Hughes has always missed on occasion. I would agree with everything you said though. We are really nitpicking on some of these guys like there are clear cheaper upgrades to be had all over. The way things sound and how some are acting they want Oliver and Jordan Phillips back and replace everyone else via draft and free agency.
-
Shaq was pretty good last year as well. I keep hearing this jaguar guy as the upgrade over shaq, one of our posters just showed the other day shaq vs yannick? And shaq is playing better with like 200 less snaps. Not sure why he doesn’t start over Murphy but you can tell when shaq steps in the game his impact is almost immediate. He has gotten better every year here, and has taken it to a new level this season. Contract year or not what has shaq shown to say he’s lazy or won’t play hard once he’s paid? And what has the Jaguar guy shown that says he won’t mail it in once he’s paid? I won’t accept arguments that we should not pay one of our own over a guy who has arguably the same production on a crap defense. What are you saying to the team? Play well and we will let you hit free agency so we can overpay someone else in free agency who may not even be as good. That’s just silly. If you’re letting shaq walk the player you’re replacing him with better be an upgrade. And I see nothing that says yannick is an upgrade. I went to look and his sacks are against terrible teams. He has no stats against the upper echelon of teams this year. We draft, develop and re sign our own. We have flipped out for years we draft guys and let them walk and they show out for their new team.

3 Penalties - 30 yds for the Pats (How??)

Oh I fully agree. The refs are bad all over. Similar to the NBA though they do protect their stars. A lot of teams can survive without a star receiver or defensive end but very few survive without a quarterback. It hurts the NFL to lose a Brady or Rodgers or Mahomes or someone due to injury. I have always felt they protect them. I don’t doubt for a second it’s dirty. Matter of fact when Brady actually ran tonight I was all for the flag, they should of ended him right then and there. You’re not a quarterback you’re a runner, let’s hit you like Allen gets hit and make them throw the flag and see the backlash. -
I think Allen missed him on a good route in Miami. The one tonight looked like it would of been pretty risky to squeeze in. I wasn’t sure if it was foster or brown but there was 2 patriot guys in decent position it would of had to of been a perfect pass.
-
Nobody can make plays if they don’t get targets. We don’t target Foster, or kroft, or singletary in the pass game, usually don’t even target McKenzie just use him as misdirection mostly. You can’t blame guys for not making plays if they are not given chances to make plays. Foster had 1 target tonight? That was him on the high throw in the end zone right? If it wasn’t him then I never even seen him on offense. I don’t care about duke or Yeldon but I would rather get them active and sit some special teams guys just to show defenses something different. We run the same formations over and over and everyone knows we will only target 3 guys in brown Beasley and Knox. At least mix up the formations some. If I see McKenzie on the fake sweep one more time I might puke. Glad they at least tried brown on one tonight
-
I would agree for the most part. The offense is always just so off and on, I really think that plays the biggest part. You never know any given play if they will completely implode rather a hold, a drop, or a bad throw. I’m not sure our coaches have a play they can call they trust can be executed everytime. Every team has a few safe plays they know they can get a few yards rather a screen or dump off or curl route or whatever, ours is run up the gut for -1. They know the offense can execute that.
-
If he goes for it there and fails he would be roasted on here all week.

It’s not a patriot thing. It’s a franchise quarterback kinda thing. Packers, chiefs, Seahawks and others all get away with the same stuff on offense. It’s not a conspiracy it’s to protect the elite quarterbacks from injury. Brady has been protected for a very long time. Mahomes was extremely protected last season. It’s just the nfl protecting their investments. Crying about the refs especially on social media makes us all look silly. Good teams overcome bad officiating and regardless of what the pats get away with tonight the bills had every chance in the world to win.
