  1. There could be lots of scenarios. This shapes up as one of the craziest offseasons in history. The Pats and chargers and maybe even Pittsburgh all possibly desperately needing a starting quarterback to win now. On top of the teams picking high needing a quarterback. I could see Miami moving back even if they can highjack a monster haul of players/picks. These older quarterbacks coming to the end are going to shake up the offseason if they move around or retire.
  2. If we are in win now mode it’s a bad move to leave real day one impact contributors on the board for someone who may never even play for us and possibly never nets us a return similar to what we’d invest.
  3. Be a difficult sell to draft a quarterback high after just trading for Rosen and having so many holes to fill and Fitz wanting to come back. Not a bad football decision to give him a redshirt year but difficult to sell to the fans
  4. Preston Williams was very impressive. Fitz finds a guy he likes and peppers him. He was breaking out big time before he got hurt. He looked like a man playing against kids he’s so dang big
  5. Miami doesn’t worry me much unless they make multiple big moves. They’re 2-3 years away from doing anything. Fitz helped them look competent this year at times but I’m not sure they really have much to build with yet. Very important draft and free agency for them. I just don’t see many players they’re going to build around yet. Parker and Gesicki and Wilkins I guess.
  6. While I 100% agree on shaq Carolina is never letting Luke leave. I joked with my nephew who is a huge panther fan about trading Kroft if Olsen retires and our first and a 5th for Kuechly and he was all for it. But they can’t trade that guy. Him and McCaffrey are the faces of their franchise. I would be all for that move as it frees Edmunds up to be a monster jack of all trades sort of player. I just can’t see Carolina hiring a new coach and then trading the key to their defense away. As much punishment as Henry deals to a defense motor may turn into a home run threat in the 4th quarter lol
  7. I like Kamara but I wouldn’t be willing to give up picks for him. While maybe not quite as dynamic there’s a lot of guys who can play that role. If we could find a way to give him 20+ touches a game it wouldn’t be bad I just don’t see them giving him the ball that much.
  8. Awful lot of work putting numbers together for a lot of nada. Costanzo already said he’s playing for Indy or retiring. Im sure AJ Green would love to sign a prove it deal cause no way anyone offers him more than a 1 or 2 year deal right? We do know this is free agency talk where people get ridiculous deals? Hooper and cooper will probably never even sniff actual free agency and even if they did you make it sound like they’ll just sign up here no biggie like 30 other teams won’t chase them and grossly over pay them. Not trying to be mr negative but the list is unrealistic besides our own moves which is just common sense for the most part.
  9. I like Green. Not too worried about his injury stuff. He could of played this year. I think he wanted a new contract. They didn’t give him one. So why play one of your final seasons on a crap team? He’s not a OBJ kinda guy but I suspect behind the scenes he said pay me or trade me or I’m not playing. At this stage he’s gotta be ring chasing with a fair contract. I wouldn’t hate the signing. I would also explore trades. Diggs could be available with their cap mess, maybe see if Tampa would consider moving Evans with Godwin looking like a monster. Robert Woods probably isn’t the kind of receiver we need but I’d want him if he’s made available. Keenan Allen could be made available depending what happens with those guys. I like Alshon Jeffrey even with injury problems. I would rather trade a high or mid round pick for a proven impact kind of receiver than draft one early. Can still grab a young guy in the 4th or 5th and hope he works out or sign someone with potential in free agency.
  10. I also was mad about the 5th year option. Costed nothing to get the extra year of production and see his peak value. And I used to agree on the pass rush moves. Until he started subbing in for Jerry more. He can rush from that side pretty good. I still have a little hope he wants to stay with the team.
  11. Only one I would complain about is Lawson. He was a game changer for this defense. He improved his pass rush, he’s much better rushing the LT. Excellent against the run. And against rushing quarterbacks he’s been extremely good at containment. He was missed badly yesterday. I hope he’s back. I’ve said before it has the look that this coaching staff has unlocked a gear in him he did not know he had. I don’t think it’s contract year effort I think he figured out his game last season and just got better this year. Not sure he’s peaked yet. I would of given him a solid B to B+ for this season. Since he didn’t start it was always obvious to me when he stepped in the game and seeing the change in defense. How many games did we give up that first drive score? Teams marched right on down. Second drive Shaq comes in usually and the D stabilizes. Very important piece even if he’s not stuffing a stat sheet
  12. I’m with you. Sometimes having too much information so easily available is actually a bad thing
  13. Cursed his own career. Guess who will be playing making money next season? Not him
  14. I’m not a fan of the franchise tag but I would use it in this case. I’d like to see one more year before committing a blank check basically
  15. I knew I seen it posted by one of you guys but I didn’t remember where I seen it.
  16. Yeah there was a post last night I won’t go into much detail but it involved the entire team in a disgusting comment. The mods were quick to erase it. That’s what social media needs. Actual mods. Actual bans.
  17. I would agree. Instead of email to verify tighten up security and make social security numbers to verify. Might not help users in other countries but you could always have settings to allow by country or something. Social media is the antichrist these days. It’s an extremely hateful place to look at comments. Easy to see the divide grow and build amongst lots of different groups of people from politics, to religion, sports. Just ugly all around and zero policing or repercussions for people to say the most crazy of things
  18. Milano is a guy who generally stands out. He gets there but his tackling has been an issue. He was playing like a man on a mission in the first half. But he missed some plays that turned out to be huge. I still love the guy, I really think he’s the glue for them sometimes. I look forward to seeing Vosean next season and what his speed can add to Milano and Edmunds and the defense. I would love to see them tinker around a little bit and move Edmunds around. With Lorenzo sailing off into the sunset I’d like to see Edmunds take his spot occasionally rather he rushes or drops. Im hoping they add some quality guys in free agency to help bolster the linebacking group. I am still holding out hope Vosean can earn a role next year and hopefully make an impact
  19. This is the issue with making some of these guys whipping boys on here or social media. There’s a lot of Ford sucks on here. On Facebook. Twitter. Problem is he doesn’t suck. We know this. He’s playing out of position probably on top of being a rookie. When some of these guys are bashed non stop people run with it and it becomes “fact” to a lot. This scenario is an obvious fool overreacting to a loss and really extreme. There should be ways to hold people accountable for this kind of stuff. It’s disgusting and embarrassing as a fan.
  20. I don’t believe that’s the philosophy as much as not trusting our offensive guys to execute. Either way, there’s zero chance mcdermott doesn’t watch tape on that game yesterday and say to himself “‘man I really screwed up” He is well liked in this league, I have to think some of his buddies text him and call and they discuss this kind of stuff. I’m not making excuses for them there are none, but he knows what’s wrong and why they are doing things this way. As mad as all of us are they are waaaaaay more embarrassed by what happened. It may have been the embarrassment needed to change. It’s his job to lose not ours. It matters to him more than us. He’s not the first coach to handle games this way. Hopefully he won’t be the coach who can’t or won’t adjust. And to follow up on the coaching aspect, if our guys execute better those points would of been on the board. There’s plenty of places to put blame on our styles of play
  21. They can swing for the fences if they want. They can continue to build with bargain free agents. But luckily we’re in position to offer draft picks for an impact player. We’re picking low 20’s Beane should be floating that first rounder around the league this offseason looking to grab a real weapon for this offense. As bad as yesterday was the team is in fantastic shape. I am still very excited about our core players.
  22. They will obviously add some important pieces and playmakers. It’s not like they don’t know what we’re missing. That said we need our young guys to continue to progress. These guys picked their young core players. They have to develop into real deal stars in order for this team to be any kind of threat. Allen, Edmunds, Oliver as our first rounders.. Then all the other guys. As long as the young core gets better every game, every year we’ll be fine. They have to continue to shuffle bargain free agents and veterans in but this is all coming down to our core players. Complimenting their games so they get better. For me the process was a one year thing. They needed to cut guys that didn’t fit their style. “The process” was a one year thing to establish a new culture around here and acclimate players to what the coaching staff expects. It’s still mentioned but waaaaay overblown.
  23. And he makes them in Seattle. I don’t see the point. We needed a lineman as well. It’s not a miss on a draft pick in year one.
  24. I still won’t apologize. We are one year in and he has Russel Wilson throwing him the rock. He’s better than advertised as far as only running straight line routes but come on it’s Russel Wilson. Everyone is open during his scramble drills. Seattle was the best possible landing spot in the world for him.
  25. I can’t disagree with her. Poyer and Hyde are both underpaid. But, on the business side of things Poyer isn’t worth his next contract. I would let him walk. We can’t pay every starter big money. He’s expendable and much easier to replace than most of our starters. Hope he doesn’t play the sitting out game.
