I’ll ignore the Allen part, but Mariota will have a better shot at starting somewhere else. If you don’t think he’s looking to start next season you’re not playing with a full deck of cards here. He’s not going to buffalo to be a backup. Patriots, Panthers, Dolphins, Steelers, Indy, maybe LA are all more attractive jobs to someone who wants a chance to start
-
He’s not a god that’s for sure. Not everyone has to be bipolar about it to one extreme or the other. He’s a top 5 top 10 quarterback. Maybe drops to top 15 without Kelce or in a different system. Why shouldn’t there be skepticism after 30 games with probably the best offensive setup in the league? The same setup that had Alex smith looking like an MVP. I don’t think he sucks but I do think he’s a bit overrated because fans act like he’s the best to ever do it after 30 or so games. This was probably his biggest win in his career.

Yuck.. Texans are lost on defense. They got punched in the mouth this week and disappeared. Guess they left it all on the field last week. What a pathetic game for both teams honestly. Credit to Mahomes and Kelce for getting it together and making the plays but this is a pathetic game

Youse traded your best player away and he’s still in the playoffs
-
Just until he starts under a new name
-
Kinda feels like I watched a whole game already though
-
Well that was some of the worst defense and special teams in any game I’ve ever seen. KC is like the new New England they can run pick plays all day with no calls.

You want someone to actually read an article before commenting? ?? -
It depends on the guy. My target guys aren’t exactly made available but I would offer our first for Stefon Diggs or Mike Evans. A youngish guy who already has his contract for the next 3-4 years. It’s unlikely but it’s something I was hoping they would try. Even more so after seeing Diggs last night. But who knows if they can even be traded for. Just my madden wish list Lol you really do hate daboll don’t you? Relentless

I honestly blame it on Allen’s development and the offenses ability to not execute the simplest of things sometimes. We are lacking playmakers and just incorporated 9 new offensive players. Takes time to gel. If what players say about this system being so complex and so much reading of angles and coverages it has the sounds of Allen just getting better game to game as he mostly has been. Daboll does call some dumb **** though. I have felt like they don’t trust Allen most of the season to not turn the ball over and play reckless. So they rely on the safe game and the defense to keep them in the game. They’ll cut Allen loose if they have to in the 4th quarter. Regardless they all just got seriously embarrassed, they are all aware they need to add more weapons and playmakers and there’s zero reason rather Allen develops more or not, to not cut loose next season. -
Lol that’s well done

We need a strong power RB next year...Henry/Lynch type.

They did have a lot of 300 yard passing games ??? -
I would hope not. Beane wasn’t here but as a fan base we should of learned from our Watkins debacle. No matter how “can’t miss” we think they are it’s a giant crap shoot. Id rather trade our first for a proven playmaker and take a receiver in rounds 3-4 or sign an AJ Green and hope to get 10+ games out of him while a rookie develops and learns the playbook not being forced into full time action right away. we have draft picks we probably don’t need or low ones that won’t make the team. The trading up would be in the mid rounds but that’s just my guess

I did a little checking on the guy. He’s definitely worked his way up the ranks. But to simplify it and justify what you just put, Dalvin Cook finally played most of the season and broke out and they took the ball out of cousins hands more. Cooks numbers went up and cousins went down. That’s the success IMO. But as a leader and he’ll need to be one with that team I don’t know much about -

He’s not available. He almost could of been, until he cemented the rushing title and then almost single handedly beat the pats and ravens. Tennessee will franchise him and work out a deal or hold him to the tag this year. Zero chance he’s obtainable. The fans here in Tennessee would riot and boycott the team. Peyton Manning is god around here, but Henry is creeping up. Tennessee is a big time college area but they jump on the NFL bandwagon super fast when they’re winning. I was beating the Henry drum 2 months ago for buffalo to get him, but there’s no way he’s not getting a deal or franchised after what he’s done this year. -
Agreed there as well. Montgomery didn’t play well until the second half. Cohen was their difference maker and homerun threat though. All their tight ends get hurt and no Howard and they forgot Cohen. And then the offensive genius Nagy decided to scare goat his offensive staff and fire them cause he can’t make adjustments off the playbook Andy Reid taught him
-
They’ll just franchise henry. It’s the smart thing to do. One more year at a high salary or work out something long term. He will not be available. How you gonna sell season tickets letting him leave after what he just did this season and the playoffs? Zero chance he’s available. Back to the receivers now.

I would be pretty angry if I was a browns fan over this. Minnesota is an ugly offense. I don’t know much about the guy so maybe he’s a solid leader but the Minnesota offense doesn’t scream “wow up and comer” to me. -
You don’t just find Derrick Henry’s. There is this myth that you can just plug and play any running back via draft or low tier free agency and that’s only true to a certain extent. Size, speed, ability to break tackles, not fumble, and pass protect, now throwing touchdowns ? Henry is a monster, he has been for years they just didn’t use him as the feature back. So to answer the second quote he can go 2-4 more years probably with little to no decline cause he doesn’t have the same wear and tear normal backs his age have. Adrian Peterson is still going, no reason Henry can’t produce at a high level in a 5 year contract. Sometimes overpaying is worth it. Got to look at total carries/touches over the course of a young career
-
And they made Tarik Cohen a focal point of the offense which skewed Trubiskys numbers with all those dump off big plays, this year it’s like they forgot Cohen was on the team for multiple games at a time.

I’m good with Tennessee getting it. The music city miracle is so long ago the current players don’t even know about it hahaha. I also like the underdog story. But holy crap would a Tennessee Vs San Francisco be a NFL nightmare for super bowl. All these rules to promote passing non stop and the two best run teams head to the super bowl. Craziness. I do want Tennessee to face Green Bay or Seattle though. Love to see them run through almost all of the “top quarterbacks and pass offenses” and win the title. Run game ground and pound with solid defense can’t work we’ve heard for a long time especially from some on here, run game and defense can ALWAYS win when executed. -
Objectively everyone outside raven fans and fantasy football nerds knows Baltimore is running a complex wildcat with Lamar. The season he just completed will probably never be duplicated. Objectively almost everyone knew if Baltimore got behind Lamar could not bring them back. Objectively it’s been pretty obvious all year he really struggles throwing to the outside. Objectively 90% of the people who actually watched his games knew his stats were extremely padded. Allen is a quarterback, maybe not a great one yet. But he’s running a complex offense not a gimmick. Ravens are running a wildcat with 1000 variations where Lamar rarely makes an actual read of the secondary. He reads the defensive line and either throws it or runs right away. There are plays he does read the field and can do it successfully but it’s very rare.
-
I think most people knew if you get Baltimore down 10-14 points Lamar would crumble. He will get a pass cause of his “stats” but watching the game he didn’t look like an MVP other than his running. I’m sure Baltimore fans sound like us right now, terrible play calling, need some bigger receivers who can catch on the outside, defense didn’t show up. Same kinda stuff we’re dealing with.
-
Oh you’re 100% correct. Half the guys talked about on here for free agency will never hit the market. But there was lots of takes Henry isn’t worth a big contract. No running back is. But that guy is not the normal running back
