  1. Knox is without a doubt the #1 next season. It’s his job to lose. Unless they go big name hunting like hooper. Knox even while dropping some passes flashed some serious potential as a receiver.
  2. He’s just playing hardball forcing them to either pay him huge bucks or play the victim card of “they didn’t want me anymore”
  3. If I understood correctly LA wanted to go back to the 4-3 defense to get Donald more involved as the DT. And they apparently aren’t sold on Clay Mathews and donte Fowler rushing from the outside.
  4. So Cleveland is going to the 3-4? AGAIN. Baffles me. Who would want to drop Myles garret into coverage? They switch defenses like refs blow game day calls. Constantly. I know wade can mix things up but they really don’t have the personnel to go back to it again.
  5. Some of those guys I can see on Beanes magical contract scale. I don’t see any of them as cornerstone 100 million dollar guys though. I think fans might be upset and deflated if he doesn’t break open the check book to sign the “top guys on free agent boards” I generally dismiss the top 5-10 at every position when I shop free agents. And we still have franchise tags to be handed out. And of course cuts for cap needy teams. You could see more than half those guys you mentioned gone before free agency even begins.
  6. Yeah Wallace is killing us with those game checks. Can’t believe a UDFA started most games for two years on a top defense. I say cut kroft, cut smith, cut DiMarco, cut Murphy, let Wallace go, Shaq is gone, Phillips is gone.. take allllllllllll that money and lets sign duke to a contract extension. Clown avatar guy for gm of the year over here.
  7. I would of actually guessed it at 6-8 for another one year deal as depth/rotations and see if he can do it again. For us anyways. Other teams may be willing to guarantee more years. Stars money was as much locker room as it was need I think or he wouldn’t be paid like he is. If we hadn’t just drafted Oliver I think they would pay more. I don’t see Phillips as a game changer, wreaking havoc on opposing offensive lines or living in opponents backfields. Good player. Not great. Oliver kills his value to buffalo. Take away the titans game and they have almost the same amount of sacks. But Oliver outdid him across the board in other categories.
  8. Yeah I read that. Supposedly the job was his but he wanted the higher ups cleared out and not involved. After seeing the list mentioned on this page for stefanski I can see why McDaniels don’t want that job.
  9. Do you not remember that season? Smith was on fire starting that season. He ended up with over 4000 yards in 15 games with 26 touchdowns and 5 picks with a rating of 104.7 and then also ran for 350 more yards and 3 touchdowns. He was talked about the first half of the season as a possible MVP. He lost it in November with a few not good games. Brady’s stats were not much better and he was mvp that year. Sorry you don’t remember cause it’s Mahomes not the system for you but if Alex Smith is putting up career numbers and an MVP candidate for a good portion of the season the system and players there should obviously show you something. Oh and for fun who is the runner up for MVP this year? That Wilson guy in Seattle. Go check his numbers.. They look an awful lot like Alex smiths in 2017 don’t they? Is Wilson an mvp candidate this year? Mahomes is a good/great quarterback playing in the best offensive setup in the league. He’s not the g.o.a.t after 30 games and a playoff win over Houston. Great season last year. Mvp deserved. But I’m not gonna crown him as the best until he faces some adversity or gets a new playbook or loses his premier weapons. Kelce showed why he is unstoppable all season long. They have been mostly healthy for 2 seasons minus Mahomes leg earlier this year. I’ll give credit where it’s due and it ain’t all his credit. Put him on Tennessee or Seattle and I would be willing to bet people wouldn’t sing his praises like they do now.
  10. I really liked Andrew Billings in college. Haven’t seen him in Cincinnati. Got to be hard to get playing time with Geno out there
  11. He’s scum. He wants this stuff to escalate. He wants to be a victim. His money went to his head, too many blows to the head, serious god complex going on. And he’s stupid enough to broadcast it live for the world to see. I do agree with the above he’s mentally unstable. He’s gonna lose it completely one day and end up with nothing when all is said and done. I could of felt bad, until that video. Mentally unstable or not to be that way in front of your kids or just kids is just completely over the line. Great job posting it for the world to see ya big goof. I hope he never gets another check.
  12. Not only would we not sign him but I can’t imagine he would ever want to come back here unless it was his only offer. I could see him at the press conference now sitting down at the table, picking up his pen to sign his contract.. cameras rolling and boom dislocated wrist. Ok see y’all week 9 get hyped Sammy is back
  13. I think we will absolutely stay under the radar. Playoffs or not, Brady leaving New England or not, jets getting better or not, we won’t be seen as a threat to anything again. Jets and Pats will still get the love, maybe an occasional “look out for buffalo though” with no real follow through put into it.
  14. I like Ogbah and Everson Griffin if he frees up from Minnesota. If I picked tier one I’d want Armstead. I still want Shaq back if he finds a cold market he should definitely want to stay here. I like him on Hughes side better rushing the left tackle. I’m not of fan for Yannick and clowney but if we HAD to take one of them I’d pick Yannick. Clowney is just a walking disaster to me. Always had the ability to dominate and be the best ever, just never healthy and it either affects his play or he just doesn’t give effort too much. Hard to say cause he’s always dinged up. I think there’s upside for Yannick but not clowney. Just my opinion. I look forward to seeing what new blood they bring in. Shaq signing back or not I still expect a free agent so they’re not forced in the draft taking an end they may not like as much.
  15. It’s a team first attitude. Putting the team first before individual achievements. Not going on tweeter telling people you’re so great and deserve top 3 money. Phillips worked hard and deserves his payday. I don’t think anyone disputes that. He’s just not going to get top 3 DT money in buffalo.
  16. I went back to look, the draft profile I seen on him was great hands, solid blocker, just not very athletic. I remember the blocking now why it stuck in my head. “Power At POA - He's pretty stout. Handed one on ones against some notable defenders (Ferrell) with effectiveness and admirable anchor. Comes off the ball hard and does well to use his hands to create a stun. Runs the feet through contact and offers enough power to push DEs”
  17. Well if he wants to play for a contender so bad he won’t demand a 100 million dollar contract for 3-4 good games a season. He can say all he wants but most contending teams can not afford to pay what he was asking from the Texans.
  18. Well Jordan thanks for your effort. We wish you the best in your future endeavors.
  19. I can understand both sides of things. I don’t take issue with most of the talk only the select few who just say “he sucks get rid of him” He served his purpose for the most part and they liked what Knox was doing as a receiver so they didn’t need to use kroft ( that can be debated on the short 3rd and shorts Gore was continuously stuffed on) I think it would be wise to at least hold onto Kroft until preseason at minimum cause he does have some trade value if teams like the bears are injury stricken again or maybe Olsen in Carolina retires and they need more depth etc etc Worst case scenario we get an injury and at least he’s there if needed. His salary really doesn’t hurt the ability to sign anyone or limit what the team can do financially. Lee smith having a job next year is more concerning to me than Kroft, Sweeney’s blocking cannot be that much worse than smiths when you factor in the penalties and then bump his receiver value as well. I could be wrong but I was under the impression at draft Sweeney was a heck of a blocker and not much in the receiving game. But maybe I’m mistaken it’s been awhile since I paid attention to him
  20. He had 14 targets this season and 6 catches. How much production do you want from 14 targets? Can’t expect him to do much in the pass game if they don’t throw it to him. Is he ALWAYS covered or just blocking? I don’t care either way if he stays or goes but it’s silly to say how bad he sucks if he’s not exactly playing or getting the ball thrown his way.
  21. I like his game, but there’s no point keeping him because we don’t use him in the pass game. His one good year in 17 basically he was a 10 yard and under check down beast for dalton. We don’t do that. Watching Fells on Houston is similar to what we could do with Kroft. Send him out and box out defenders on short routes for short gains or in the red zone. I don’t think I’ve ever seen us do that. So no point paying him at this salary to be an occasional blocker
  22. Free agent pickups might of saved the game for Green Bay there.
  23. I just listed a bunch of teams earlier and that was only the AFC. He will have way better opportunities than buffalo to start. Maybe we can get Foles when he’s cut.
  24. Why would he go to either team? He is either soooooo bad very few teams will make an offer so he settles for a Jets or bills, or he’s decent and someone will pay him to have a chance to win a starting job. It makes zero sense for him to go to a team with a possible franchise quarterback on a rookie deal. His only shot to play is injury.
