Off-season: Expected and Surprise Cuts

Lol it’s years of cap misery and habit for some of our guys I think. Plus they’re shopping every need being filled by the top free agent available which is a little costly ?? -
Off-season: Expected and Surprise Cuts
Rc2catch replied to ngbills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think the surprise is NOBODY gets cut. It’s possible everyone currently under contract makes it to preseason. You don’t cut players until someone steps up and takes their job unless you need the money. We do not. Might as well load up in the draft, sign who we are going to sign between our guys and free agents. Let the best battle it out. Once you have a good idea of your top 53 you can dangle guys for draft picks, trade them for possible depth players, or just outright cut them. What’s the rush to get them off the team?- 145 replies

I’m not knocking the guy at all, he’s played fantastic and he’s a capable starter. I just wouldn’t bank on him being available the whole season. Very few guys hold up in their mid 30’s. I think he’d be more valuable as our swing tackle than a starter.

Devin Singletary Highlight Reel
Rc2catch replied to SlimShady'sSpaceForce's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sickest juke move in the NFL, other than maybe Barkley. I said before I never thought he’d be able to get all those tough 1-2 yarders, but he proved me wrong. His ability to somehow almost always move forward or fall forward despite the insane side to side action is awfully impressive. -
I thought he had some knee issues with the redskins.. Yeah, he had a core surgery, then knee issues as a backup in Washington. I remembered cause he left a game I watched early over a knee issue. https://www.foxsports.com/nfl/ty-nsekhe-player-injuries https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.nbcsports.com/washington/washington-redskins/redskins-week-4-injury-report-ty-nsekhe-out-after-surgery%3famp

He’s good, but his injury history says he will never survive a full season as a starter. He’s no spring chicken. He’s better served as depth who can step in and play at a high level when needed. The ultimate swing tackle if you will. Getting a legit starting right tackle should be fairly high on the list unless they’re keeping Ford there.

No way we can let daboll go. It’ll take a whole offseason to find a new whipping boy and break him in for the board next year. Have to learn a new offense and what sucks about it, what players fit and don’t. That’s too much work. Now our negative Nancy’s get to 100% focus on free agency and the draft and how we screw that up with no distractions (you know who you are) plus they get extra time to find new reasons why Allen can’t be successful, and Mcdermott isn’t capable of coaching the team to a Super Bowl. Ain’t no time to research a new offensive coordinator and why he sucks this offseason there’s too much work to do.

I get it, not trying to justify what happened was ok or not an advantage. Other teams get signs as well. Don’t know if they have gone digital as I stated before but all teams are trying to steal signs every game. It’s literally tradition in baseball. I’m not sure how often this strategy of theirs was used, but it’s not like their numbers were super juiced up. I would fully agree it’s an advantage over other teams though, if the other team has not decoded your signs
-
I agree there’s advantages to it. But every team tries to steal signs. Maybe Houston is the only ones going digital, but baseball is going to have to figure that out before they start banning people. Cause they may end up banning quite a lot of big name players. Also if I have read correctly managers are not protected that’s why they can act quickly on front office personnel, if they want to go after players they’ll be battling the union and that can literally kill the whole game.

I read it, I just don’t see the harm in what she said. It’s not because the truth was found out. It’s because he didn’t have a problem with it when he was on the team, and because he went public with it when he should of let the league handle it. He could of told his story to MLB and let them do what they need to do. Maybe he did and they didn’t take it serious, either way he’s not the one to say anything because he profited off of it and for all we know was a part of it. Wasn’t his place to tell the world. If he wanted to be the one to tell the world he should of done it while he was playing there.

Why should she be fired? Is it not dirty Fiers played for them, boosted his value, then made the issue public after he left. If it was so important to him why not make it public while you’re on the team? After the game during interview time say “I’m not going to continue playing for a team that cheats” He profited from it, then when it was convenient blew the whistle and made the whole thing public. He’s just as guilty for participating and then protecting it isn’t he?
-
Yeah I figured they change automatically at some rate, but definitely more when A) they are giving up tons of hits and B) when they are playing an opponent who apparently most of the league is aware have been sign stealing. I would expect they’re changing up non stop throughout the game. Astros have a really really talented team, I can see the edge helping but it still seems they’d be winning quite a bit regardless with all the high priced free agents and high level draft picks.
-
This is cheating. But I don’t think it’s half as bad as it’s being made out to be. Don’t teams change up signals throughout the game? Especially when there’s rumors of sign stealing. And even if you know the curveball is coming it’s still not easy to hit. Pitchers don’t always hit their spot. I get why it’s dirty I just think it’s being overblown. In the grand scheme of sport I think the Pats stuff is much much worse. People are talking banning players for life and vacating the World Series title and this being worse than Pete rose, maybe I’m missing some of the story.

He’s a good corner. With Kuechly retiring they kinda have to keep him now. Need all the playmakers they can get. Could see Xavier Rhodes out in Minnesota coming off a down year for him. I don’t know much about Rhodes other than he’s a “big name” so I have no clue how he could fit here -

I could be wrong but I really felt our touchdowns were much more exciting Allen’s rookie season. Man Foster looked so promising. -

I honestly would rather he didn’t play. It’s such a waste. I get they don’t exactly play hard or anything but I would rather nobody risk any kind of injury for a worthless game. I wish they would just do skills competitions for everyone. I would enjoy that more. Less risk of injuries -

I would like to bring in Aqib Talib, I like him in this defense. Great man to man corner but maybe not as great now. Switching to our scheme might be career extending for him. Love the write up. Siran Neal really impressed me I knew he had potential but I had no idea he was so fast on the field. Taron Johnson, I’m no expert but he seemed hot and cold vs the run and the pass. He never jumped off the screen for me. Either way most of our guys are young and no reason to cut bait or bring in more competition. Can never have too many decent to good corners. -
So whatever will happen to "Right Josh" Rosen?
Rc2catch replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I didn’t like him pre draft. That said he’s been given zero chance to succeed. I would have to guess if he can’t win the offseason and come out next year and beat out Fitz for that job on what should be a much more talented dolphin offense his chance of being a successful starter may be over. Of course that hinges on them not getting another quarterback rather rookie, trade or free agent. I would actually like him to end up in Pittsburgh if Miami doesn’t work out. I feel like they could utilize his talent. -
I watched a different one I think on epix I enjoyed better. It was a lesser production. I finished this Netflix one today I didn’t really care for it. Maybe they were just trying to shed light on his life/abuse/cte but it just played as trying to gain sympathy for him. He was a pretend gangster like the one guy said. Regardless of CTE or drugs or whatever he wanted to be a thug and live the lifestyle rap music portrays. Most telling part was how he had secret compartments built into his vehicles to hide guns when he could legally own them and carry with no issue. Bad crowd and pretending to be a gangster. Sad for his kid. Sad for the victims. But it’s a sickening story.

This either screams real head trauma or a guy who is smart to get out before it’s too late. Those concussions were no joke and he missed major time over it. Zero chance this is a ploy to get out of Carolina he has huge value they would trade him. He is not capable of the beating to his brain without serious damage or possibly already having serious damage
