  1. He can apologize all he wants and do all the right things, but in the end his career is over. He may see the field again, but after all this and his looming suspension when/if someone actually signs him he’s never going to be what he was. In the big picture of things it’s sad from a football standpoint. He was a machine. Even his biggest haters recognized he was one of the hardest workers ever. He was a fantastic story of not being a top draft pick and his hard work paying off. From a personal standpoint I’m actually happy to watch his fall. He’s scum. Any “man” who treats women as he does and talks to his child’s mother in front of them like that is just scum.
  2. Even as bad as he was there I’m not 100% sure he will be bought that low. Either way I expect if they want a legit starting corner across from Tre they will go get one. I don’t think any of these Johnson’s are that guy. Decent players. Capable in stretches.
  3. That’s been my stance all offseason. Diggs, Evans in Tampa, Keenan Allen in LA, I didn’t consider Golloday cause they can easily sign him long term.. But Beane should absolutely be floating that first rounder out there if he can snag a game changer receiver or pass rusher for it.
  4. A 2nd round pick???? I don’t think that is even close to a possibility
  5. Golloday is a legit top 10 receiver in the league who has not peaked yet. I would be thrilled to get him for a first. That said, Detroit is going to extend him and this is all just for fun. He’s the best player on their whole team. They have the money to extend Slay and Golloday.
  6. The wishful thinking on here is crazy. You can’t just get everyone in free agency. You don’t cut people hoping to sign a capable free agent to replace them. Tight end is extremely popular. Cut Kroft, Smith, now we’re even mentioning cutting Sweeney for some weird reason.. Ok great let’s do it. Now what if Olsen, Ebron, Hooper, Henry and the other top free agents don’t sign here? We possibly end up with worse tight ends or a questionable rookie.. I just don’t get it. IF you sign one of the top free agents THEN you make moves. Use shady as example. Once they signed Gore and Yeldon, and got to see singletary in practice it made shady expendable. That’s the logic you follow. We are not Minnesota with NO cap to make moves. We don’t have to cut anyone unless they literally just don’t want them on the team. Free agency is not a sure thing, this ain’t madden you can’t just get whoever you want. Everyone loves Hooper but maybe he likes his setup in Atlanta and wants to stay there even if it costs him money. Maybe he’s friends with Russel Wilson and wants to play with him. You can’t bank on signing these guys. We’re not the only team with money to throw around.
  7. Tre or any player for that matter in this situation would want the money now. One ACL and that contract will look a lot different. This is the “set for life” contract and you don’t risk playing another season and possible injuries if you don’t have to. I would fully expect they will work something out. Tre waiting on the new CBA could be a seriously bad gamble
  8. I’m not gonna watch this. I just read in the Star thread how pathetic our offense is and how clueless our coaches are building offense so there’s no point in watching.
  9. Threads like these really put everyone’s true colors out there for sure. I can’t help but laugh at some of you guys and your “hot takes” over Beane and Mcdermott and the job they’ve done here.
  10. Not many modern NFL teams value the locker room culture as Mcdermott does either though. It’s only my opinion but Star was brought here for more than just on field production. He’s extremely durable, and he has to have value off the field as well. That’s the only reason they would of invested so much to make sure he came to buffalo. Like this front office or not, they are not dumb.. Star has value, just because fans don’t like him or expect more does not lessen what he may or may not bring to this team.
  11. That quarterback is literally captain checkdown.
  12. I really wanted to be a Dallas fan mostly cause I like the uniforms and logo lol but I’m having trouble finding anything about the team to like. DC seems to be my favorite style of play so far
  13. Looks like they made some adjustments from yesterday. No sideline interviews immediately after. Unless I missed it no communications from coaches calling plays to the quarterback. Much different from yesterday’s games
  14. Not Reily I was talking about joe Horn Jr. I was a big fan of his dad in New Orleans
  15. I was looking forward to seeing him too St. Louis I think
  16. It’s not meant to scare the NFL. It’s an alternative. Nobody is forced to watch. If they continue to field a good product it’s a win win situation for fans. Everyone has preferences on what they want to see. College football is 80% a joke and people watch that non stop. Cause ya know Alabama vs East southern middle Carolina is a fantastic matchup, but people still go and watch the game and will watch if it’s on tv.
  17. The NFL may not want it to succeed, but I’m sure gm’s are watching this closely. These guys fill out the bottom 20 of your roster/practice squad and are dirt cheap even compared to most rookie contracts. This is the ultimate bargain shop for an NFL gm. The other thing they have going is everyone nationwide is sick of the flag fests and bad officiating in the nfl, if they want to let these guys play with less flags non stop its a fun game without people constantly saying “that’s a penalty” They let them play big time in that DC game and we even had people on here mentioning “that’s a penalty” “why don’t they call that” I am all for partially eliminating some of these non stop ticky tack penalties. Enjoying the game without questioning every play if there’s a penalty or not.
  18. I would first have to ask not meant in a disrespectful way but if you watched his game, because it was very apparent why he’s playing there. Hard to bring down, he broke a few sacks. But holy crap it looked like every throw was off his back foot. He finished with nice stats but I attribute some of that to broken coverage and very easy throws and even some of them were ugly off his back foot. Potential of course for improvement since this is really his first time to start, practice and play as the main guy. I came away unimpressed from his game though. They discussed him possibly being the face of the league in pregame. He’s definitely a guy to watch going forward to see if he improves his footwork.
  19. If he has NFL talent this platform will get him into a camp come summer. NFL teams HAVE to be watching this, mostly because they can sign these guys dirt cheap. If there are hidden gems or guys with old red flags or whatever they’ll get a shot.
  20. I remembered him when he about killed that quarterback lol, he crushed that guy
  21. I really enjoyed both games. That was competent football. They did a fantastic job. Long term is still wait and see for me obviously but I could not have scripted it to go much better than it did. Vinnie Mac for the win on opening day
  22. The networks never really seemed to be behind the AAF, the coverage and announce teams and general excitement for this league seems to be different.
  23. Tomorrow has some fantastic announce teams too. Im looking forward to Greg Olsen, and mcafee and Kevin burkhart in the two games. I read somewhere Olsen is doing the New York game
  24. That was quite the ugly series for that field goal to end the half
  25. This Kanoff guy seems like a big baby.. Guy needs to settle down
