  1. Maybe he’s not that good when Eli isn’t peppering him with 15+ targets a game with his 55-60 catch % similar to basketball with bad teams, someone has to put up stats. He has some highlight catches for sure but those were some horrible giant teams minus one year and Eli was throwing it non stop to him to pad those stat lines and that was the only player who could do anything. Reminds me of a much much better version of Robert foster his one half great season where Allen had no choice but to feed him the ball. Less targets and less involvement make for an unhappy OBJ. Imagine the meltdown here when we only attempt 22-25 passes a game most times and he has 3 targets and one catch for 18 yards.
  2. Unpopular opinion, buffalo trades Poyer for a 3rd round pick to the cowboys.
  3. I’m just giving you a hard time cause of the thread title and not listing any free agent receivers
  4. Hapless can be the judge, jury and executioner on this one
  5. 0-6 you lose, punishment is you can not mention any players wearing #22 in the nfl for 6 weeks.
  6. Tajae sharpe has a lot of potential. He’s not the #1 prototype guy everyone wants but he would be a very safe signing as backup in case you can’t get the high profile receiver you want in the draft. Tennessee is very known for not giving playing time to their better players. Hence why henry sat behind demarco Murray and even back seated to Dion Lewis a bit before he caught fire at the end of last season. This year was actually Henry’s first real season as the feature back. Mularkey was terrible on personnel. Back to the point though sharpe had a real breakout season as a rookie and kinda faded after. He’s a low risk possible high reward kinda guy. I enjoyed watching his game in his rookie season
  7. I was on there a couple years. I think my name was Spliffus. I was actually kinda devastated it shut down with zero warning. I didn’t post or comment much but I did get all my news on there. I remember thinking my work computer was messed up and trying my phone browser then calling my wife to make her try the home computer. In the end though it worked out nicely since I found my way here for better more up to date news.
  8. Lol well I’m pretty sure you listed the two things he will not do.. It will be talked about on here but this isn’t a likely possibility for buffalo
  9. For being a big guy he plays kinda soft and is often injured even if he plays through it. But at such a low cost as asked in this thread sure, most of those low picks are going to have a real struggle to even make this team.
  10. Oh goodness don’t mention CMC that guy Sherlock will come running ??
  11. If this is it, I would have to seriously question why the Carolina GM still has a job. There’s tanking and then there’s just dumb. Turner could of fetched draft picks instead of a 31 year old oft injured tackle on an expiring contract.
  12. Crazy.. I can understand Carolina wanting Okung because he apparently wants out of LA but I don’t understand why they’d trade turner straight up. Get older and one less year of contract control. Strange. Plus Carolina still has Greg Little who was a good prospect.
  13. I don’t do hockey, but I occasionally hear about the mess there
  14. If they hold out that may backfire terribly for them both. I’m not sold Beane would cave and pay him. I’ve been waiting for a situation similar to see how Beane would handle a holdout player situation.
  15. This is 100% correct. But nothing to be afraid of. Look at New Orleans. They pay Brees huge money and field a competitive team year in and year out. They work the cap to the max almost every season. They draft well (which is the biggest key) Dont stress the money, gm’s are paid big bucks to manage that cap and teams do not have to survive by adding big money free agents. Pay your own, draft well, make cuts when needed. Also need solid coaching to continue to get these young guys ready to contribute. New Orleans is a good model to use for managing and manipulating the salary cap yet competing every year
  16. Silly. People can dream all they want but the NFL is a business. Carolina needs to sell tickets. They lost kuechly and Olsen, two of the faces of the franchise for the last 5+ years. They are possibly bringing Cam back. You don’t trade away the best fantasy football running back in the league when he’s still on his rookie deal. They could entertain it when it comes time to pay him. But not now. He’s a great back, top 5 no doubt. But his popularity is more fantasy football than actual football. Carolina isn’t firesaling that team. They have their young core of guys they will add to. They’re cutting defense because they are switching back to a 4-3 and some guys don’t fit. Moore, CMC, Burns are all untouchable. It’s a fun hypothetical but there’s no reality. Carolina doesn’t have an extremely loyal fan base like some teams that will show up regardless, they need CMC to keep fans interested. They need to sell tickets in a down season.
  17. Lol on the bills radar or fans radar? I highly doubt they were looking at signing half of those guys.
  18. He’s definitely going to get big money. Im curious if he will give Beane a shot to match, or if he really just wants a new team/city/coach. But someone is going to pay for the arrow pointing upward. He’s been on a steady incline and if there is another level he hasn’t reached yet 7-10 million a year could be a steal.
  19. I don’t think jimmy G is all that good. Maybe bill didn’t either. None of us know for sure. But a 2nd round pick for a backup is quite a nice haul.
  20. You’re talking my language there. Not flashy but that’s an interesting fit into this defense. If we’re talking BPA at 22 that might be a huge homerun. They can work him into this defense for sure. Hyde has previous experience covering the slot so they can run the 3 safeties in packages. It’s a luxury pick but depending on our free agency if they sign some edge players and receivers I would love to snag Delpit
  21. It’s all speculation. And probably overblown at that. For all we know they fully support each other and are close friends. Media likes to create stuff like this for entertainment. Bill has ran that team to near perfection personnel wise for a very long time I have never believed the media he was overruled on the Jimmy G trade. That guy doesn’t do anything he doesn’t want to do. He loves that start topic button that’s for sure.
  22. Franchise tag doesn’t mean much. They are either signing him long term or trading him still. I don’t think there’s a chance he plays that year out on the tag and possibly has no market next season. Financially he has to be paid this year or he loses a ton of money next year. And if he’s injured this season again his market will be almost nothing.
  23. He’s the easiest to get. Dalton is still under contract and needs to be traded/released. Bridgewater is probably the best option but also the most expensive. On top of him loving the saints and them wanting him back again. Panthers said Newton is staying put. Mariota at the top of the list just based on experience/availability. And I’m sure BB can get the most out of his skill set
  24. I would have to guess it would be Mariota as the favorite, followed by the possibilities of Tannehill and Dalton. Regardless who goes there including Brady I think we’ll see a much different team focused on the run game. Michel and White is a pretty lethal combo of run/pass options.
