  1. That’s why I tend to look for cap casualty cuts from teams. Those are usually the better value and it’s not always because the player isn’t unproductive
  2. Receiving backs are absolutely a dime a dozen. Dion Lewis is another New England patriot who looked decent, left, got paid, and sucked forever after. My goodness I could of smashed my remote 100 times when mularkey would trot Lewis out in Tennessee games and he would out carry Derrick henry and do NOTHING.
  3. Give me Linval, Diggs, Everson Griffin, I’ll take any and all 3 please. Fantastic players
  4. That’s tough. The right decision but tough. Possible death blow for the league. Lot of lost revenue for the first season now and probably crippling to recover from. Fun few weeks though
  5. Yeah I seen the pff stuff.. But I know I seen some plays where he was blown up and Morse or Dawkins had to bail him out and the whole line would be overwhelmed cause of it. But he is above average and that’s a helluva good contract to keep him. He must like his teammates and the potential. Overall I’m happy
  6. Well I will change my earlier stance of being on the fence. Beane is a wizard and that is yet another fantastic team friendly deal. They have done something here, I cannot possibly believe Spain would not have gotten more money in free agency from someone.
  7. I’m on the fence for this one. He’s an above average player, I’m no pff analyst or huge film watcher but he seemed to have some issues in pass protection but seemed to excel in the run game. I considered him and Ford our weak links in pass pro. As much of a beating as Ford took for getting beat I always wondered why Spain didn’t catch some of the same. But I could of course be wrong I didn’t replay enough stuff to verify
  8. To be fair, this is the kind of things players love. Want to attract more/better free agents this is one of the ways to do it. It’s a respectful kind of move. It does not hinder the team from making any moves or getting better or acquiring talent at any position. Kroft has one good season under his belt from his Cincinnati days. Which was a pretty decent season. I don’t think buffalo year one is a fair assessment to judge him on. Injuries are a concern and problem for him, good thing we have quite a few tight ends on the team.
  9. Knox is the future as of now. I have been a big Kroft supporter since before he signed but he doesn’t have half the talent Knox does.
  10. Just means they want him on the team this season I would guess. Basically turned his contract into a 1 year prove it deal. Benefits the team and gives Kroft a chance to get paid next offseason. Never hurts to have experienced players on the team. To me it says Lee Smith could be the one cut or maybe they don’t think as highly of Sweeney as we do or Beane let on.
  11. The physicals part I can understand being an issue.
  12. I get everyone has to show awareness etc etc but shutting some of this stuff down seems silly. I can understand large crowds/events but free agency? I’m sure they can video conference instead of in person meetings. I’m sure there’s plenty of workarounds to limit travel and exposure.
  13. I could always be wrong but I expect the team to go in the opposite direction a majority of fans on here want. There’s a lot of #1 receiver talk and emulating the chiefs lethal pass attack but I don’t think that’s what they want to build. Singletary looking so solid I would fully expect given the free agent market for the bills to target a lethal run game next season. Another top notch back to pair with singletary and some more Feliciano mauler type linemen. I think they’ll address receiver via free agency and the draft just maybe not as splashy as a lot of us would like.
  14. I’m all for adding talent and possible production. Of course if they want to sign vets on short one year deals I’m all for it. Graham is probably all done in this league, but if they want him I’d support another cheapish one year deal
  15. The OP is my favorite kind of thread starter... Opens a new thread, no actual info or links and then disappears forever.. Top notch contributor here this kid OP Sounds nice on the outside, issue is the chatter between newsworthy posts. Have to dig through 90 pages to find the cuts/releases. It would be hard work for the thread starter to keep the front page updated with all the cuts.
  16. It’s the XFL. And not just the Bills who didn’t see, every other team in the league? He couldn’t stick on a practice squad? More than likely he is getting a camp invite somewhere after what he’s accomplished but also more than likely he looks so amazing because of the level of competition there. It’s possible he took a little extra time to develop but in the end I think it’s just bad defensive talent he’s facing
  17. Where is the link? How can I plan ahead to order wrestle mania if I don’t have a link as proof? Am I expected to google search this? Grrrrrr I come here to avoid having to research on my own. ???
  18. I would support a change to onside kicks at the end of the game. I think the trick is a scenario with pre determined ball spot. Maybe instead of an onside kick just do a 4th and goal from the 15. Score you get the ball on the 40, don’t score and the defending team gets the ball. Or how about some real fun? Instead of a kickoff how about a punt with no return? Have to coffin corner it between the goal line and 10 yard line? Defending team can rush everyone since there’s no return possible. Bring some significance to the punter position.
  19. Fantastic thread. I’m sure Mr Tannehill would love to come be a backup after the turnaround he just performed for Tennessee. OP, you could of done better. RGIII is possibly available for trade, Mariota, trade for Rosen ?? but sure the AFC championship game quarterback would love to sign as the backup to the wild card losing team.
  20. I can never put too much stock into this stuff. At one point Kyle Allen was performing better than Josh Allen. Just have to remember the offenses these guys are running. Allen doesn’t sling it all over and air it out cause he was trying extremely hard to limit turnovers. We didn’t play behind much, at least not behind big enough to abandon the run. Jags got throttled a lot of games and Minshew had 470 pass attempts in TWO LESS games than Allen. That tells the whole story right there. We were never a passing team and just my two cents I don’t think the coaching staff trusts Allen to sling it 40 times a game yet. They have really treated him with kid gloves, where Rivera and Marrone were coaching bad teams trying to save their jobs not protect their young quarterbacks confidence.
  21. Not liking the signing and people saying “he sucks” “that’s too much money” is a little different. It’s a no lose situation for buffalo. Everyone should be a little skeptical of his age and decline in Washington but it’s basically pennies to our overall cap situation and will have zero impact in possibly bringing Kevin Johnson back or signing or drafting another corner. I don’t expect much out of norman but I applaud Beane for always covering his behind with backup plans like this norman signing
  22. I’m a little amazed how negative some of these comments are. This hurts NOTHING. It’s only a year, he was a very effective zone corner, Levi and Taron are still here, and it’s not like they won’t add more guys to the competition. Norman has never been overly athletic but the dude has instincts. What is the worst case scenario? He backs up Levi? Or he’s depth if they sign someone who can steal Levi’s job? Beane covers all angles, low risk signing just in case he can’t get what he really wants later. Kinda like Kroft last year.
  23. All this bickering over draft stock and slots. Outside the top 3-5 players every year it’s all a crap shoot. Some of your best players in the league are found in rounds 2-5. Golloday is on his way to being a top receiver in this league and he was considered a weak prospect projected in the 4th round or later. We are not scouts, we don’t have the inside intel the pros do. We don’t know these athletes or talk to them or their coaches. Not sure why there is so much bickering over who knows what best when none of us know Jack squat in the big picture of things. We can read into things all we want but it’s possible they build a super ground and pound offense again and hope to get lucky in the 3-5 round range on a receiver. I wouldn’t be surprised at all to see them target more offensive linemen in free agency and another back in free agency and the draft and try to run it down everyone’s throats every week. Along with more defensive personnel to keep the defense playing at an elite level. I look forward to the yearly blowups for free agency and the draft, I try but can never understand the fascination with arguing over who should be drafted where and how much someone is worth to a team. This has to be the most frugal fan base in the league with salary cap money. Ralph has really taught us to count those pennies and get maximum value at every position.
