Lol how can Allen not be the favorite of this division after the playoffs and team assembled? I know Manish is Jet media but dang, you can’t sell any fan base on having the best quarterback in the division being from the lowly jets -

Of course only my opinion but it has the looks Houston didn’t explore other options. Even taking the entire AFC out of the equation I have to believe an NFC team would of given up much more than Arizona did. Philly, Washington (who was rumored as our competition on diggs) , Chicago, Green Bay, even Seattle or San Fran, I could see any of those teams giving up a 1st rounder plus more to get Hopkins -

My list is similar but I have Diggs ahead of Hilton and Amari. Top 3 I have the same. tyreek hill mike Evans diggs keenan Allen golloday (based on my expectations) then Hilton and OBJ/Landry (I’m torn who is actually better) rounding out the top 10. -
It’s obvious Hopkins is the better choice. Also obvious he will have better stats. What’s the point? Do you believe Beane didn’t want Hopkins? He’s out shopping his first rounder and just chose not to target the best receiver in football?

Either way Minnesota moved into a run team with Cook finally healthy. Rudolph and Thielen are enough for them to stay effective. I would of been extremely happy to take any of their 3 top pass catchers. Diggs was the most logical and highest upside -
Duke had a 2 year deal last year.
-
Or Roberts since he’ll be active on game days too and they started incorporating him into the sweep last season
-
I think given Houston’s track records on trades we should work on a gm trade with them. Beanes gotta go. This is just too much for a bills fan to handle. Maybe swap coaches with them too
-
Lol I can handle one hyped up game from him every few years. I will 110% be watching the Phillips vs Feliciano matchup

Cam - looks like he is being released!!!

A decent season (healthy) this season he would have great value. Either in comp pick form or tag and trade -

Another questionable move by Rhule and company. His value is at an all time low. Only shot to get real compensation for him is to let him play this year out and tag and trade next offseason. Nobody is buying him high coming off those injuries and a missed season. Last year of his deal so you have to obviously work out an extension for a player who may never recover his athleticism. Im not sure what the vision is over there but I follow them and they are looking like amateurs this offseason. Only reason to trade him now is he didn’t recover from his injuries and isn’t healthy and might as well get something if his career is basically over. -
Or they know what they are getting for their $$$ so there’s zero gamble signing them. I mean another way to look at it is they are cherry picking players that helped Carolina get to the super bowl? Under the radar guys who contribute but are not household names. I don’t see why signing players you’re already familiar with can be a bad thing

Some of those signings are questionable but I really like lawson, and this guy Ogbah has some potential left too. Their defense will be much improved with some linebackers

Maybe a TE, think of the trickle down effect on Beasley and Knox underneath with Diggs and Smoke taking the top off the defense. With those 3 receivers out there shoot even lee smith could be a legit receiving target. I don’t think tight end is a big need. Knox had some rookie issues but he flashed some serious upper echelon abilities for a receiving tight end. He’s a monster breakout candidate this season now with Diggs in the fold. Biggest focus should probably be more pass rush and depth if I had to guess. -
Bills sign LB Tyler Matakevich on a 2 year deal $9m

That’s what I was trying to get at, if he actually likes anything since he cries on every thread. Every move or potential move he’s miserable. -

I’m a little disappointed, I would of been ok with lawsons contract. I really wanted him back. I could of lived with a 3 year deal even if the salary was a little high. Shaq, Addison and Hughes would of been pretty explosive to me. -
All I hear is comp pick comp pick and comp pick ???? I’m kidding. They need some serious magic to stay competitive right now.

Just have to be healthy and get hot at the right time. Our current roster construction has us on par with Baltimore and Kansas City, just need Allen to take that close to mvp step and we’re the next big thing in the national media and playoff time. -
Is Beane universally liked and trusted by the fans?
Rc2catch replied to Mr. K's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He has an eye for talent and roster building. We question a lot of stuff (KB, Tolbert, Star, etc etc) but it’s worked. You can point to luck and easy strength of schedule or whatever but it doesn’t matter. It’s worked. Playoffs in 2 out of 3 years. He’s built a very exciting core group of young players. He has provided veteran leadership to guide these young players. He has managed the cap and draft picks as good as any gm in the league since being here. If you don’t like Beane, or the direction of this team I would have to wonder if you’re a fan of football at all. Not everything is perfect and plenty of fun things to debate, but overall this has been a fun ride to a rebuild. We cried for years to tear it down top to bottom. Gut the front office, coaches and players and rebuild. It’s finally happened and we have one of the best young core groups of players in the entire league, oh and we actually have the cap space and willingness to keep them now too. Very little to not be excited about. -
Bills will NOT Tender Isaiah McKenzie - he is now a UFA

During all the madness I didn’t even see this. Im kinda shocked at such a low price they non rendered him. I think this speaks volumes about his ineffective play last season and the addition of Diggs. That many snaps with almost no impact. Roberts may be taking that role over since we know they won’t have that many guys active on game days -

Well said well said. Chiefs receivers were all around the same size as buffalo. Weapons are weapons despite height and once you have 4-5 weapons your offense becomes pretty unstoppable. We now have 4-5 legit weapons in this offense. -
