  1. He’s got some talent. Seems he didn’t really get much of a chance with the cards. I’d like to get him on the practice squad if possible, but I’d expect someone will grab him for their active roster to see if he was just overlooked there
  2. These bots and their slow posting of news. Yolo we know your hard drive is already connected to Beanes just run a program to extract the cut info.
  3. Week 1’s are always tough, ever more so this year with no preseason. I don’t expect to see our defense of last season right away, we clown the Jets a lot and rightfully so and if this were a week 5 matchup I’d feel much more confident. I think it’ll be a close game. Mcd and Frazier are gonna be experimenting with what rotations work best which may lead to some decent Jet drives. And I expect our offense to play well but also sputter some too. I hope not, nothing would make me happier than to see Allen light things up along with a strong run game. I just expect to see some early season miscommunications and it’s generally harder to get in rhythm super fast.
  4. He’s not that expensive, and they don’t utilize 3 backs in the offense. Unless Jones is cut whoever the 3rd is will be inactive anyways right? Cut Yeldon and sign dare means you have 2 running backs whose primary job is ST?
  5. The name and fame game 😂😂 Almost as funny as reading stats and not watching games. One more time, production versus pay. Clowneys impact is not that much higher than Murphy recently despite being the more complete player , I can’t recall where I said he’s not good or tried to debate that. Any free agent is a great addition, until they get here, are injured again, and don’t make enough of an impact to warrant their salary. Then it’s whipping boy time. If you don’t want to debate or discuss, then why quote someone? Make your post and move on.
  6. All 3 games he is healthy enough to make a difference. Rest of the year he’s hobbling through with lingering injuries. I’m certainly not claiming Murphy is the same caliber player, simply that almost all the fans on here clamoring to sign clowney would flip out when his production is nowhere near his salary similar to Murphy. I did not watch him in Seattle outside the playoffs but he was invisible in Houston. I surely watched a lot of those games. He wasn’t even the 2nd best player on that defense most of the time and that includes his one real good season there
  7. Misery loves company on here 😂😂 36 tackles-9 qb hits-9 TFL- 5 sacks- 3 pass deflections- 2 ff - 2 fumble recoveries 16 games. 1 int - 31 tackles - 13 qb hits- 7 TFL - 3 sacks- 4ff- 2 fumble recoveries. 13 games. Snatched this off Facebook, which one is Murphy and which is clowney? But clowney deserves 10 million or more and Murphy is an overpaid bum who needs cut ASAP. Obviously more to it than stats and they’re not the same player, but production is production, best ability is availability
  8. I can’t see any situation where Ertz is moved, unless they start out 0-5 or he demands a trade.
  9. I’m not a big Tyrod fan, but I think we’ll see a bit more aggression from him this season. Lynn and him have a good relationship it seems and I’d expect they both know this is his absolute last shot at starting
  10. I’ve been on here a couple years now at least and I don’t think I’ve ever even seen the schedule on here. I don’t wander to far from the front page but I’ve never felt the need to check the schedule here
  11. Agreed. We are placing way higher value on some of these guys than what they’re actually worth to another team. Best case scenario is Beane calling lynch in San Fran or some other team and saying hey you got any corners you’re gonna cut you wanna trade for one of these receivers I’m about to cut? Giving away a draft pick probably ain’t happening. Be plenty of free agent receivers out there for teams who are probably better than our fringe guys that get cut
  12. You want there to be interest ?? Every GM basically sets himself a number for a players worth right? If Pittsburgh wants him at 2.1 for the season and the bills and pats are in the 2.5 range it’s likely Pittsburgh never even makes an offer. The difference between league minimum and low ball offers and 4 million on the waiver claim is huge. Every team has a plan for almost every penny of their cap the next 2-4 years. By driving up the price even by 250k or a million can scare and chase other teams away from even trying. Same reason every coach and gm lies in interviews about their positional groups and how happy they are with them, then they add talent within a day or two after. Same reason agents “leak” “news” like this hoping to drive up contracts. Fournette is a good player, who put up some decent stats on some really bad offenses. There’s no real downside to buffalo signing him other than taking playing time from motor and moss. But with singletary and moss already here along with the other backs it doesn’t make a ton of sense to bring him in right before the season starts. Jacksonville surely hated him and did him zero favors with the timing of his release.
  13. I will 100% agree to disagree on that sentiment.
  14. I never questioned his elite status. I questioned his stats and his longevity given those amounts of touches per his contract. Let’s also not forget most running backs who eclipse 300 rush attempts in a season decline almost immediately after. He hasn’t hit that mark, but given his receiving targets the odds are his body and production will never hold.
  15. You nailed it, Kyle Allen.. And an offense that basically threw everything to the line of scrimmage or within 5 years for two straight seasons. How many teams in the league play check down football for 4 quarters every week regardless of score even when they have some talent to work the mid range part of the field with Moore? If CMC is on Seattle does he have 1000 rushing and receiving? How about Houston? How about buffalo? (Calm down Sherlock if you see this) What team is giving him that many touches in a season? His statistics are a bit of an anomaly, his talent is not.
  16. Like someone said earlier I’d expect this is purely to drive the prices up on other teams. Beane doing wizardly things just for fun
  17. Mccafrey wouldn’t see half those targets on another team. I don’t discredit his value to their offense and his talent level but his stats are inflated by a bad team who clearly wanted to run his stats up. They force fed him like crazy toward the end of the season to get him to 100 catches so he’d hit the milestone. And I wouldn’t give the contract cause the odds are high his body will be shot after the workload he’s had the past 2 seasons.
  18. I wouldn’t want to pay CMC that kinda money either.
  19. Guys wants CMC money at like 16 million a year, he’s good but that’s a lot of dough
  20. I get it, the athletes feel they can raise awareness and have a duty to speak and I’m good with that. NBA has Chris Webber and some other announcers who I can understand have valid opinions of this stuff, but I’ll be damned if I want to hear Chris Collinsworth or some of the NFL announce teams to discuss this
  21. I’m all for the messages and systematic change in lots of areas. But please for the love of god leave the game itself alone. The NBA, every game I’ve watched, every interview after etc etc they’ve had discussions over race and issues. I get the post game interview and I don’t have to watch that part if I don’t want to hear a players opinion, but during the game should be left to the game and not outside issues
  22. Why would anyone trade a #3 pick for peanuts who just got a massive contract extension unless they just didn’t want him on the team and in the locker room anymore? Common sense would say they didn’t like what he brought to the team rather it’s attitude or work ethic. Then to turn around and give that kinda money to a player not half as talented says the exact opposite. Dareus gets traded and star gets signed. Star in my opinion got paid to be a leader not a producer. Obviously I’m not part of the conversation or an nfl exec my post above just said I wanted Jake Locker in that draft ?? As for the “process” that was simple. The first two seasons the process was bringing in the right guys to build the right culture. Tolbert, Star, guys like that who mcd knew had what he wanted. After year 2 and the tone was set the process is out the window. Once the young guys and vets were on board you can go out and add anything you want cause they’ll keep the team in check and a couple divas won’t poison the moral. The process was over after year two. They shipped everything out they didn’t want to build with and kept all their cornerstone pieces and drafted their guys. You don’t need a process after that cause 65% of your roster is exactly the kind of players you want who will keep others in check and hold them to the high standard you want on and off the field.
  23. I can’t disagree with your thinking. But it wasn’t about cap. It was only about establishing the locker room. Leaders and guys who buy in to that process that was talked about for two years non stop and is still used in arguments. They considered Dareus a cancer that had to be cut out and not allowed in the locker room. That’s why I never really complained about stars money, they didn’t just pay him for production or obviously we got robbed, I always believed he was just the unofficial leader on the practice field and locker room which I don’t actually know to be fact. Either way it looks like their plan ended up being much better than any of us imagined at the time all this stuff was going down
  24. I really wanted Jake Locker.. So my NFL pedigree is zero ?
  25. Henry is the definition of elite. One player who can carry an entire team to a win. He doesn’t need to be a factor in the pass game cause he has the ability to dominate 4 quarters rushing. It was maddening seeing henry take a back seat to demarco murray, then Dion Lewis before they finally figured out what he was.
