  1. That’s where I’m at on it. He’s had flaws and mistakes of course, and some posters have done a little homework and diagnosed bad plays. The others are just hopping on the trend of saying he sucks and needs to be benched etc etc. I don’t mind some criticism I just hate the parrots repeating what others say.
  2. He’s on the wrong side of 30 and hasn’t played in a really long time. And I don’t think their receivers are that bad. Sneed, Boykin and brown isn’t a terrible set of guys. Rather design of offense or Jackson’s limitations they don’t throw outside the hashes much unless it’s deep and to the right.
  3. I wish I could say I’m surprised the fan base has turned on him. Once you’ve achieved whipping boy status on here there’s no redeeming yourself. The narrative is set
  4. Panther secondary isn’t great so it’s not a good sign he’s cut two days before the Falcons game
  5. I’d be surprised if A) he makes the active roster on a gameday B) he can contribute for them I don’t think their wide receivers are totally the problem and I’m not sure Dez can get open anymore after the injuries and time off
  6. I’m not sure the question can be answered at this very moment. Brady has an almost super team in Tampa, but the seasons early still. Even if Brady gets to a super bowl there it’s a little sketchy given the roster. New England has one of the worst rosters in the league right now, and are missing some pretty valuable players on defense.
  7. Romo is the best in the business right now. Ive always enjoyed Kevin Burkhardt. Back with the Mets on SNY a long time ago when I lived in NY. Now I think he’s fox for football but I like the work he does.
  8. I like the overtime format but I do think it should go 15 minutes. Onside kicks. That’s what needs changed. I really like the 4th and 15 idea instead of an onside kick. Teams could come up with some really fun plays when you know it’s 15 yards or go home. Onside kicks are near impossible and no fun.
  9. If golden went for a 6th I’d say griffen is an easy sell for a 6th round pick.
  10. They certainly have the talent to compete defensively as is. You keep pointing out previous games but can we assume this is as good as this defense can play? EVERYONE would like to add talent. Beane, mcd, Jimmy at McDonald’s, everyone. I don’t think I’ve seen one person say they don’t want to add talent to the defense. But once again here we are.... How? Tomlinson from the giants is a realistic option the team can afford. Golden was close to salary we could afford. Yannick no way unless they attached salary to give away. Dunlap and Atkins probably are not, unless you can unload salary along with draft picks in the trade. That’s the whole point. Real life, not madden. How do you work the cap to fit in a larger salary than you can afford when there’s not many cuts to make, or restructures to do currently.
  11. If I understood correctly they save nothing cutting Murphy. They have to trade his salary away to free the room.
  12. I swear I’ve had better discussions with a wall. WHO IS AGAINST IT? Where did I ever say I was against it? I simply asked multiple times where do you get the cap space?
  13. Lol you don’t need to convince me. I never once said I’m happy as is or would be against a trade. Dunlap is an 8-10 million salaried player. Send them a 5th rounder sure. How do you get 8 million on the books when you only have 3 million to spend? You can’t just cut some of these guys even if they’re not producing because it does not free up cap room. Right?
  14. So please enlighten us. You obviously are smart enough to know defenses do not get better during a season. What stud on defense are you trading for? Which elite talent you getting for under 3 million? You packaging Murphy in this trade to free up space? You got our 2nd round pick and Trent Murphy, who ya getting that magically fixes this defense and transforms it to elite status? It’s pretty easy to cry about what you want done and not offer any actual scenarios that would help your narrative. We have 3 million in cap. Can’t make many cuts to free any real money up. How many elite talents are available via trade?
  15. If the Bills are trading this season it needs to be an NBA style trade to move salaries to acquire talent. We can’t afford half the talent the OP lists.
  16. I think some fans on here have unrealistic expectations. How many players are actually available for trade? How many can we afford into our cap? How many can be had at a decent value? The options are getting a little slim now aren’t they?
  17. And he’s missed 5 extra points or something so far this year. Terrible % for pat 😂 wonder if they could upgrade
  18. Who replaces him?
  19. I strongly disagree with this. First, Beane owes us nothing. We’re not even paying customers with no ticket sales lol. Even if we were teams owe nothing to fans. It’s their job and money on the line not ours. Second, the talent is there for the defense to be effective. It’s on the coaches to maximize these guys skill sets. It’s a puzzle and they’re putting it together. Moving Hughes to the other end spot so him and Addison are on the field together has begun to pay off in the pass rush. This New England game should tell a good story about the progress of the D. Beane is very limited on what moves he can make and ways to manipulate the cap here. This stud you seek will be extremely difficult to work into the cap situation.
  20. While I’d like to see buffalo active I’m not sure we have anything of value to trade away. Which makes the cap a real handicap working any decent trades.
  21. I found 7 kickers in the league I’d be overly confident could hit 6/8 or better in one game. Not trying to say Bass is all world but kicking is down across the entire league.
  22. I asked someone earlier in the thread, you’re pretty responsive on bass. How many kickers in the NFL today can you confidently say would go out and hit 6/8? 7/8? 8/8? I struggled to find many that could do what Bass did today
  23. I’ve been a fan of his, I was one of the few who said he could be a weapon if used. Hopefully they continue to give him a few looks every game. He can be a big safety net for josh in the 5-10 yard range. And after today I guess downfield too.
  24. I pose a question on this. It was asked of me earlier by a friend. How many kickers in the NFL could you confidently say would go out and hit 6/8? 7/8? 8/8?
