I really hope Mitch Morse retires.
Rc2catch replied to SageAgainstTheMachine's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Lot of players have had waaaaaaay more, it’s a bit of a crap shoot it seems. Either way I’m sure Morse and his family have had discussions about this and they’ll do what they think is best. -
Beane's construction of this roster

I thought the whole D played with fire the first half. Which was promising they’ve seemed like they’re just going through the motions this year. Second half, well we all watched. Oliver has a ton of potential, he’s just not ready or might never dominate on an Aaron Donald level which has always been unfair to ask of him. -
Beane's construction of this roster

That part doesn’t fit the agenda. -
Guess we just need to score 5 then to win right? It’s not like Seattle has the legion of boom back there anymore. Wonder if establishing that run game today could keep Wilson off the field and limit his possessions??
-
Crazy right. Pats and Ravens in their 4 minute drill offenses to win a game ran every play. What more can you say about them as passers? Their coaches didn’t have any faith they could complete a pass and ran basically every play down the field. Only to get in the red zone and turn it over.

While Klein has played badly I liked that they blitzed him more today. He’s never going to be good in coverage, but his best game is around the line of scrimmage. He did miss some tackles today though. Nothing seems to be working for him, or most of the defense for that matter. I said in a different thread I’m glad the issues are so blatantly exposed now, if they’re corrected by playoff time. Better to be gashed now and have it on tape if they can correct it when it counts even more.

Postgame Thread Bills vs. Patriots

We’ll still have 4-5 posters complaining -
Man, some of you guys are just pitiful. Can’t enjoy a win at all? You only watch to find stuff to cry about don’t ya? So Edmunds is playing bad, we all get it. Do we need multiple posts whining about it? Do we need to post it in every thread? What’s your alternatives since you hate the kid now and don’t want him playing? Matevich? Klein? Andre Smith? It’s easier to understand the constant whining when there’s a capable player maybe riding the bench, but there’s nobody else to put out there. Gonna have to ride it out and see if he can improve some things in his game.

An ugly win is better then a beautiful loss
Rc2catch replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The team can improve, the record gives us a tiny cushion. The sky is not falling despite some of our posters having little temper tantrums. At the end of the day the stats don’t matter, how much we win by don’t matter, and how bad we think we should beat teams down don’t matter. 6-2 -

Have you actually looked? Davidson in Atlanta isn’t playing much (injured now though) , Matos in Carolina, Okwara in Detroit (hurt now) Those guys are inactive and not playing a ton of snaps either. -

I was actually looking forward to Epenesa playing today too. Thought he could do some damage -
I could see Detroit pulling out a win.

This is a problem with fans. Getting cocky and expecting teams to roll over because on paper they’re not as good or other factors playing in like injuries and practice etc etc. Any given Sunday is a popular quote for a reason. Walking into any game expecting to steam roll someone is only setting yourself up for disappointment. The Pats whole season is basically on the line here, they have a ton to play for

Week 8 Pats** At Bills - Predict the score
Rc2catch replied to SlimShady'sSpaceForce's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think we finally pull one over on the hoodie and out coach him. This week the ground and pound shows up and is effective. Play action gets going. Defense stays fresh and hungry. I’ll go 24-3. Allen 180 yards 3 touchdowns with one being rushing. 180 yards rushing as a team. Sounds good to me. -

First Confirmation of Trent Murphy on the Block Rumors
Rc2catch replied to MAJBobby's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Murphy can have a little value for someone based off his expiring contract, it’s just a half year rental. We probably just have to jump a round higher in pick. Example If the bengals were willing to trade us Atkins (we can’t afford) and we sent back a 5th rounder it would be a fine trade mostly. Now to include Murphy that 5 probably has to turn into a 4 and maybe a 6 and the bengals get a half year rental end and some draft capital. I don’t think Beane flips Murphy for a super late pick then jumps back in, although it would be nice if he can pull it off. -
Rewatched the Jets game, not good for Edmunds.

In the Rams game they were discussing the safety on the Rams I think it was John Johnson actually calls their plays for them. I thought it was interesting I’ve never heard a safety have that responsibility
