If I’m correct, he’s a bills fan. A bills fan who would like to swap our GM, coaching staff and 90% of the roster with Miami 😂😂

Are our WRs not getting separation? Or is it Allen?
Rc2catch replied to Rubes's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I put some blame on daboll and Allen. Allen loves the big play and gives up on the gimme throws at times while watching downfield. Daboll seems stubborn at implementing and calling a short pass game. Seems everyone goes 15-20 yards deep on lots of plays. I’d like to see Kroft worked in more in the 5-10 yard range. I also like singletary 1 on 1 in the flat. He may not be fast but 99% of the time the first guy is never going to tackle him. -
You state these things as fact. Which is why people call you a troll. Having an opinion is one thing. Stating things as fact is quite irritating. You don’t KNOW anything about the next few games other than you don’t like our chances. It’s really kinda silly. Did you KNOW Cincy would stomp Tennessee yesterday and burrow wouldn’t have crazy numbers? Despite your name to quote one of my favorite shows “You know nothing John Snow”

I guess the good thing about close games and shootouts is the defense only has to come together and be solid for a drive or two at the end (or make a crazy play nobody is expecting thanks Zimmer) They haven’t shown the ability to do that mostly. But Seattle is a good starting point.

The beauty of this team is none of us (opponents included) have any clue what team is gonna show up to the game. We can hang with any team in the league. And that brutal schedule is a couple injuries from a cakewalk. You never know week to week exactly who is gonna be great. Kyler has been good and bad. Herbert has been amazing yet wins nothing. Pittsburgh while solid is flawed as well. I see no games and say “we can’t win they’re gonna stomp us” Seattle theoretically should destroy this team with our current play. We shall see.

King was under the 3 million mark I think. -

See I’m skeptical of moves, but a 6th is nothing. Especially for a talent like king. Half season rental for pennies on the dollar. That’s the kind of move I can 100% support us making. Kinda bent Tennessee got him. -

When Derwin went down I think they tried him at safety. He’s been a healthy scratch and only started 2-3 games so that should tell a little about his story there. In 2018 he was probably the best slot corner in the league. He would be a massive upgrade over Taron in coverage and in blitzing -

I’m not sure jersey would move Tomlinson. They can easily afford a new deal for him. He’s a team captain. He seems to have a really big value to them. He gets mentioned but I think that’s just common with losing teams only having so many players of value. -

King would take Tarons spot not Levi. He’s an elite slot corner, not sure he’s played outside as much although he can in a pinch. -

I think the next guy to move is Desmond King. While I’d probably like him here at slot not sure we’ll be in the mix. I’m never sold on big trade moves in the NFL happening always seems to be a lot of noise with not very many trades happening. This year may be a little different with virus stuff and college football and combines etc etc being out of whack -
The league has not changed that much. Good teams win in all kinds of different ways. KC ran it down our throats even though they haven’t been a great run team. Miami won yesterday with a punt return, fumble return, and barely any pass or run game. The issue people have is a win is a win is a win. Why be negative? We shoulda blown them out on paper? Go back to the pregame Tennessee thread. Fans though we were gonna destroy that team. (They couldn’t practice in case nobody heard 😜) Any given Sunday. I don’t think there’s a fan out there who disagrees the team plays soft. So why would we expect to just manhandle opponents who have less talent? It’s like fans expect lesser teams to just roll over and die. When the defense gets no turnovers and gives up huge 3rd and longs other teams are gonna stay in the game. Until yesterday we had one of the worst run games in the league. But back to the original point, every team needs to be able to step up in other areas to win games. Other teams considered better than us lost yesterday to inferior teams at least we pulled one out. (We generally give those games away)

I’m of the thinking being hot right now is not as important as being hot at the end of December. So I’m extremely happy given our situation. I can understand people’s frustrations over the defense and the offense taking a step back. What I don’t understand is this happens with every team almost every year. 16 games of amazing offense doesn’t always equal super bowl trophy. (Ask Baltimore last year) 16 games of dominant defense doesn’t equal super bowl trophy. (Ask tons of teams the past few years) You just need to click and get hot at the right time. We have been a little spoiled the last few years, McDermott’s teams have outplayed their talent level and exceeded expectations. Now we are not playing to our talent level and rarely meeting fans expectations. Our only concern should be getting to the playoffs healthy while continuing to either work on or mask our weaknesses. We’re not doomed. The defense we’ve seen so far does not have to be the defense we see come playoff time. You can hope for better and cheer them on, or you can be critical non stop that you KNOW what the future holds. There’s lots of options to have fun over this and have great discussion. But being 6-2 and having a “joke of a coach” is silly. Lot of teams would kill to have our current situation.

LB Avery Williamson Traded to Steelers
Rc2catch replied to 1st Ammendment NoMas's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well said. There seems to be an angle where we can’t beat good teams, and can’t win meaningful games. But we only have to win them when it really counts and none of us can predict the future -
Can this team please start throwing more screens?
Rc2catch replied to Steptide's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The screen to smoke worked out really well for them yesterday. But I do agree they should at least be attempting 3-4 a game. -
You win!!! Best comment on here. Seattle isn’t inferior right? Only a loss will satisfy the angry.
-
While I’m also happy to see it work out, id hope it gets to the point where the center can see it and snap the ball for the free play downfield. That’s next level stuff there and Aaron Rodgers has made a living off of it at times.
-
Thanks for your comment. Very insightful. I contributed. I asked for alternatives to playing Edmunds. Problem is there’s 7-10 guys who just want to say “he sucks” on multiple threads but have no actual solutions or ideas to improve the play from that position. So what’s the point? That’s not discussing football that’s just being a whiny lil brat.
-
I agree. Blitzing up the middle has been especially ugly for us.
-
So future hall of famer.. Yeah they should watch his tape. Shouldn’t every linebacker in the league?

Which Defensive player has disappointed you most?

😢😢😢😢 Tissues are on sale at Rite-Aid this week. That should tide you over until the Seahawks. How much do we have to win by for it to be an ok win for you? Wait is Seattle considered inferior? What does it take for a win to matter? -
I really hope Mitch Morse retires.
Rc2catch replied to SageAgainstTheMachine's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
All depends, he may not have had an actual concussion. Just playing it safe with the protocol and his history maybe. I don’t watch the post game pressers so maybe it’s been confirmed. But I’m sure he sits down with his wife and doctors and weighs his risks. Like you said there’s so much more information available now it should be easier to make decisions. -

Yeah nobody wants the guy to be messed up. Just saying, that’s really his doctors and families business. Got to think they’ll do what’s best. They have info we’re not gonna see
