Trying to keep excitement in check....
Rc2catch replied to Billsfan1972's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah I’m sure the coaches have a ton of ideas for it with their personnel. I mention at least once every week id like to see more Siran Neal due to his speed and blitzing, so this is my post to mention play Siran Neal more lol. I think he had a great blitz on Wilson that didn’t land but disrupted him. -

I’m not one for referencing it, but I think it just us to do with edge containment. In the Baltimore game Shaq especially they would rush rather pass or run but kinda stop so not to get too deep in the backfield. This basically ruined running lanes for Lamar and kept him in the pocket which flustered him. Also, Murray is not that deadly in the pocket. They roll him out a ton so he has throwing lanes. With him being short he can only throw the deep ball from inside the pocket a lot of times because he cant see throwing lanes on shorter passes. He takes every snap from shotgun (including kneel downs to end the game) and if he’s not going deep he’ll roll out even if it’s subtle or takes a really deep drop back. The Baltimore game plan on the line helped with the misdirection they always use. Basically forcing the quarterbacks to always hand off and never keep it cause they couldn’t read the end very well. Murray is gonna run but imo anyways you want to keep him in the pocket as best you can. -
Holy crap Daboll interview
Rc2catch replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think Daboll will be on the list for interviews. I’m not sure he’s gonna get a job as head coach yet. I’m sure he’s more than capable, I’m not a big fan of his play calling a lot of times but he seems to have that leader of men mentality that players want to play for and most coaches don’t have. It’ll be interesting to see how many jobs are available vs the candidates that emerge. I think barring a big turnaround Roman is probably out of the head coach conversation. -
Falcons waive Takk McKinley (claimed by Raiders)
Rc2catch replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They should 100% put a claim in for him. Atlanta has been a mess. Even if he’s a brat he’s playing for a contract next year and has a ton to prove. Every team in the league should have a claim in for a half year rental of a young pass rusher -
Is the weather really an issue for our passing attack?
Rc2catch replied to Ramza86's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
In today’s offensive NFL I think a dome would be great. We’re only going to see defenses held down more. You can’t hit anyone. Can’t touch anyone. Bad weather was a fantastic advantage and can still be the ultimate neutralizer because it evens the playing field so much at times. But we’re trying to be one of the most talented rosters in the league why would we want to even up with anyone or slow things down? In today’s league I would support a dome for buffalo. -
Josh Allen up for FedEx Air Player of the week.

Zero reasons he shouldn’t win. Minus the fact Mahomes has a cult like following. I think we can handle it though -
Is Tua hype the new Darnold hype?
Rc2catch replied to whatdrought's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It’s all the media hype machine. Tua had big hype so when he plays well he will be all over the news for now. Add in last week everyone thinking how crazy they were benching Fitz. Same for Kyler, he gets a ton of hype and makes some fantastic plays. But when they play bad you don’t hear much. It’s the same for Allen, but we’re buffalo fans and see the bad media for him if he doesn’t play great. We don’t see the bad media for overhyped guys because A) there isn’t much from the major news outlets and B) we don’t follow those teams anywhere near as closely. The key thing to remember is the national media doesn’t actually pay attention to most of the teams they just bandwagon who is hot at the moment. -
What happened to the running game & establishing it????
Rc2catch replied to Billsfan1972's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It’s a good thing Seattle couldn’t stop it, hate to have a game like Tampa last night with 5 rushing attempts in a blowout loss. -
I kinda like this matchup with Arizona. Murray is a legit quarterback but he lives in shotgun, and they move the pocket around a LOT for him to make throws. His speed is obviously elite but he’s not a normal quarterback who will take a drop and throw most of the time. Rather it’s his height or whatever they almost always try to move his pocket to throw.

How about Bass? He's settling in...
Rc2catch replied to Hebert19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He still seems a little rough on that right hash. But I’ve supported him and willing to take the growing pains. He’s got serious potential. I can’t find many kickers in the league I’d take over him. -
That’s what I’ve been saying. Stop blitzing Edmunds up the middle he gets stuffed almost every time and let Klein do it. If you’re gonna lose a defender on a blitz it should be Klein. He was coming from all over today though. They really did a great job of moving guys around on both sides of the ball. Hate seeing Murphy and Addison dropping into coverage but Russ was as confused as you can make him today.

I seen him whiff on a block on the first kickoff return Roberts busted open. That was the only time I seen him. -

Well played. Defense has some fire to them, Russ has been confused a few times. Really well done. All 3 units playing strong football. -

If I remember some of his best hype was being a great run blocker too. Maybe help them run in 3-4 wide sets if he’s out there. -
The much maligned deterioration of the passing game...
Rc2catch replied to Hebert19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Good teams win in multiple ways. Sure it’s fun to have this crazy pass attack that’s awesome all season. Come playoff time you better be able to run the ball. First 4 weeks were fun. It’s slowed down now. I think it’s huge we had a great run game last week. We are not elite yet. I don’t think buffalo can just turn it on and throw for 350 and 4-5 touchdowns anytime they want. That’s not important though, unless you’re down big which we haven’t been yet. KC didn’t look so hot in that Super Bowl until Williams started getting hot, then Mahomes got it going. Many argued Mahomes wasn’t mvp of that game Williams was. Either way, you got to be able to mix things up. I would like to see a more deadly pass game but at one point we had to establish were capable of running the dang ball. We have now seen a high level pass attack, a nasty run game last week, it’s time for the defense to step up.
