AJ Klein Expected to Sign with Bills
TheyCallMeAndy replied to Warriorspikes51's topic in The Stadium Wall
Legend has is Russ Wilson didn’t demand a trade to the AFC East out of fear of seeing Klein twice a year. -
Nothing has anything about this, I have no idea what OP thought they saw?
-
What? There is absolutely nothing about this anywhere.

I guess it’s cool?

They’re BAAaaacK! Players back in Orchard Park for workouts
TheyCallMeAndy replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
This is just the friendly reminder that players don’t need to show up for things that’s aren’t mandatory. -
Josh Britt unverified Breakup rumour

Quick google search is enough to think this isn’t true. TMZ was all over them going out to dinner, I’m pretty sure they’d be all over this mess. All in all, this thread should probably be closed since it has nothing to do with anything and his GF gets objectified pretty dang fast. -

Since some of us pound the table for a LBer at 27, and some of us pound the table to wait, I’ve been curious to where the top LBers have been drafted over the last few years. Now, quick note: Every single website has different rankings for the same player and this year is no different. Draft Network loves Cap Jack yet NFL.com has a few ‘backers ahead of him. For ease of access I used nfldraftbuzz.com since they made it easy to pull up their rankings/ratings and where the player got drafted. I also tried to focus on 4-3 LBers. 2021: Mica Parsons: projected to go top-5, went 12th. JOK: projected to be a top 10, picked 52nd. Javen Collins: projected to be a mid-first, went 16th. Nick Bolton: projected to be a mid-1st, went 58th overall. 2022: Nakobe Dean: projected a mid-1st, went in the 3rd round. Devin Llyod: projected mid-1st, went 27th. Brandon Smith: projected mid-2nd, went in 4th round. Christian Harris: projected late-2nd, went round 3 pick 75. Terrel Bernard: He was a projected 5th rounder who went top 100. It definitely looks like LB value is really dictated by a teams scheme fit, and every scheme is different. It may be a reach for someone, but if a linebacker fits this defense really well they should take him as long as McBean is comfortable with it. A few LBer projections from NFLdraftbuzz: Jack Campbell: Late first Drew Sanders: 3rd round Trenton Simpson: Early second

Allowed 76.8% completions, missed 11% of his tackles, called out by Warren Sapp for lack of effort. He’s good on Madden though.

From WR7 to WR1 to one of the best in the NFL

Voldamort? -
Agreed, no one should think otherwise. He’ll get a shot at it, but ultimately he is a best fit at OLB.
-
Absolutely could be, I think it’ll depend on what the offense is showing. I think they learned from throwing Edmunds into the fire and we may see Rapp sub out with a rookie MLB. I also think there is a very good chance Poyer/Hyde don’t start 17 games next year.
-
That is true, but remember his rating was based for the entire NFL, not scheme specific. Bills value pass coverage LBers and intelligence, those are his two best traits. Honestly, coming out I would bet he was one of the better pass coverage LBers in that draft.
-
Well he clearly isn’t slow. He’s easily the best athlete in the LB room, even when we had Edmunds. Guys who have watched that jets game said he struggled with his keys and the game was still very fast for him. Paralysis by analysis. They also said he plays with great hustle and was a sure tackler. Milano came back and he played 70% the special teams snaps, which should help the game slow down a bit.
-
Absolutely, we’ve seen they aren’t afraid of developmental projects. He doesn’t translate well to MLB, and that has nothing to do with the Jets game last year. I think that Jets game is nearly irrelevant when it comes to speculating how 2023 will play out. I think the plan is more 3-LBer sets.
-
The point remains. In Bernard’s start vs the Jets, he did some good things. People act like he was completely useless, just a body.
-
My optimism is based off trust in our coaches ability to develop linebackers, what Bernard did well last year, and what he was known for in college. Players take big steps from years 1 to year 2. And Tyler Bass after literally 2 kicks. This board demands instant gratification and scoffs at the idea that a player may need 1-2 years to develop. To suggest coaches know something they don’t is blasphemy.
