  1. My first take was wrong as I didn’t consider coverage know-how to make up for a decline athletically. I own that poor judgement and wording. I still think Edmunds was better vs the pass than David and Wagner, but that’s a moot point now. Instincts wise they should be a big upgrade, as long as they stay healthy.
  2. I’m not convinced that he is actually Prince Harry
  3. Probably too expensive: Tyler Huntely Jacoby Brissett Carson Wentz Marcus Mariota Andy Dalton Garder Minshue Realistic: Teddy Bridgewater Kyle Allen Mason Rudolph Joe Flacco Josh Johnson Cooper Rush Blane Gabbert Josh Dobbs Elite: Nate Peterman
  4. I don’t disagree with you, but I don’t see any difference between Kyle Allen, Mason Rudolph, Marcus Mariota, Mitch Turbisky, Case Keenum. They are all barfy passers. Tyler Huntley, Teddy Bridgewater, and Jacoby Brissett are probably the best backups but I doubt they are in Buffalo’s price range.
  5. For sure, I just worry about Father Time (idk why my phone keeps capitalizing that). Every single one of our 32+ aged players last year either hit a wall or sustained serious injuries. Holcomb would be a good pickup too, though. Raasan Evans and Leighton Vander Esh are great athletes and run defenders, LVE was great vs pass as a rookie, but both struggled last year vs the pass
  6. Who ever we sign is just here to start Josh Allen’s truck in the winter. The backup QB market is strong this year I wouldn’t be surprised if his market wasn’t great. 32 and coming off multiple injuries.
  7. One backup QB to watch is Mason Rudolph. Either Locked On or Cover One mentioned that Bills really liked him coming out of college.
  8. I’m good either way, I think we will be fine with Cook N’ Hynes and draft a thumper. I also love Jamaal’s short yardage potential.
  9. Problem is, Wagner and Davis are probably the only ones left who aren’t significant downgrades.
  10. And Edmunds had 1 missed tackle all year and was better vs the pass. It’s all a moot point now, but let’s all stop acting like Edmunds was garbage, he did things better than Wagner/David did last year due to his superior athleticism and isn’t even in his prime. He did some things worse because he doesn’t yet still have great instincts and probably had too much responsibility. If Bills land Davis/Wagner, awesome. They are instinctive vets who have a tendency for big wow plays. IMO it’s a wash between them, you trade off. I’m worried about if we DON’T land David/Wagner, because now we might be talking significant downgrade.
  11. Really, really, really bad in coverage in 2021, not great in 2022. Maybe McD can coach him up? I’m not saying I don’t want either old LBers, but Father Time is unbeaten. Losing Edmunds sucks, I think he’ll be harder to replace than fans want to admit… Hope I’m wrong.
  12. Simply put, he isn’t an upgrade over Edmunds. Just a bandaid and a good mentor for the young LBs.
  13. He had a good amount of TFL (10) but lots of missed as well (9). I’d pass on him till wave 2 or 3.
  14. He’s honestly a pretty significant downgrade at his age. Gave up 55 completions last year (75% and 6.8 ypa). Also had a missed tackle rate of 6.8% (9 missed tackles). He’s just a name at this point. There are better, younger options available.
  15. He’s a small scout with connections, he’s legit
  16. I am a Edmunds guy, but it is very telling they didn’t resign or tag a 25 year old captain that they invested a ton into.
  17. Safford is a better run blocker, slightly, and is 33 and clearly on the decline. McG is much less likely to have mental mistakes and is a significantly better pass blocker
  18. I wouldn’t hate it (or be surprised) to see the team bring Q-Berry back. Gutted through a high ankle sprain last year but still filled 4 backup spots
