Which Bills players are “Make-It or Break-It” for 2023?
TheyCallMeAndy replied to JohnNord's topic in The Stadium Wall
I like the thread, I just disagree with the list. It just depends what you mean by “break.” Done with the team? Done in the NFL? I actually think Davis and Oliver are more likely to get a 2nd contract with the Bills if they do not reach that next level. They are both solid, as long as the price is right they will be back. Ford and Rapp will play limited snaps, I think their Monday-Saturday performances will impact the odds of a second contract more than their impact on Sundays. If Espenesa copies 2022 and pastes it in 2023 he’ll get an extension. True ‘make or break’ in my eyes are Phillips, Hynes, Poyer, and Hyde for age/cap reasons. For performance reasons I’ll go with Basham and Brown. -
Yea I saw other pics haha He’s not in awful shape though. Most OL have a belly.

The best thing about TS is he can step up and produce. This isn’t Jake Kumero. He had 30 catches for 417 yards last year, those are very solid #3 numbers. If Shakir and Hardy can’t cut it in the slot, I’m very comfortable with him. He’s got underrated wheels too. I’m sure that played a huge role in him signing here, he very legitimately could win the slot role this summer and bring an edge to our offense.

TS answered it himself. He wanted to play with an elite QB.

Za’Darius Smith traded to the Browns

He should be a decent Robin to Garrett’s Batman. -
Rookie camp is basically just an eyeball test for fans and I’ll say this: Big Cy doesn’t look like a flabby lineman and Williams looks like an NFL LB.
-
Ugh. I love it.

Seeing the rookie mini camp pics, he is not a chubby 347. -

Carter wasn’t driving the car that crashed, right? Riggs was I believe.

Isaiah Simmons might be an answer for the Bills at MLB

To start, Williams will replace him by year end. -

I think if Bills didn’t feel Bernard or Williams could hold the job down, they would’ve made a move many months ago. Ive heard Simmons is poor vs run and getting off blocks too. Built like a LB but very much a safety. -
What does our O-Line look like now?

Bates has way too much value to this team, he will make 4 million this season. Best case he’s the starting RG, worst case he’s the primary backup at LG-C-RG and emergency plan at LT and RT. I feel there is no chance Bills trade him if Big Cy beats him out. When was the last time we could say we had amazing IOL depth? Nah, Dawkins is legit. Brown is the wildcard. This is his first ever healthy pro offseason, so let’s see how he looks. Both also have Center potential. Morse legitimately could be 1 concussion away from being forced to hang it up. -
SAM - Bernard and Klein MIKE - Dodson, Spector, Mata (Williams by year end Will - Milano, Williams The last 3 years Johnson has played 77%, 85%, and 92% of the defensive snaps. I can see that number dropping down. Asking him to basically play LB at 192 pounds seems to have caught up with the team. Buffalo has only been a base nickel defense for 2-3 years, basically when AJ Klein was originally signed and really struggled bad in coverage. Team was a base 4-3 in the early years of the McDefense and in Carolina. I think we see a return to the roots this year.

It's the offseason. Let's have a tug-o-war tournament

You can’t tell from the photos, but every team was competing against Baylon Spector, who spent the whole offseason in Buffalo. -

Beane likes guys who have success against us, even in preseason games. -
IMO agility is very important, especially at MLB (where he will wind up). Bernard has good agility numbers too.
-
4.49 at 230 pounds is insane. I wish we had agility testing numbers for him.

Can someone please find out where I can get that Championship Belt? -
Should the Bills move Milano to MLB?
TheyCallMeAndy replied to Bobby Hooks's topic in The Stadium Wall
Williams is only a few pounds lighter than Dodson and Specter, who are the penciled in starters right now for Mike. Kid was a MLB in college. Bernard and Milano will be the OLBs, Dodson starts the year at MLB and Williams takes over at some point. Bills need to evolve from their base nickel defense, I believe they will. -
Should the Bills move Milano to MLB?
TheyCallMeAndy replied to Bobby Hooks's topic in The Stadium Wall
They don’t think of him more of an OLB, they want him to start there to learn the defense. Im still betting we see more traditional 3 LBer sets this year now that we have 3 who can legitimately cover. By years end I think we see Bernard - Williams - Milano take the field together when opponents aren’t using 3 WRs -
Bills list him 6’2” 230. Hes officially bigger

Team wise there is no career record Allen can pass. He’s firmly the #3 on the All-Time list. The single season records could fall.
