I respect the hell out of Miami’s offense.
-
He definitely is off to a great start, let’s keep this thread going all season. Bills don’t need elite MLB play, just solid. The Nard-Dog has been an awesome surprise so far.

Who else notices Dodson - Bernard - Milano when the team brought 3 LBers out? I like Dodson as the SAM…

I see zero sacks, quick passing game for LV?

Missed the whole game, just updates from my phone. Holding Jacobs to -2 yards yet only having 3 stuffs is absolutely amazing. Very encouraged by 43 and 47. Happy for Cook, and great bounce back game for 17

Is Josh a mediocre QB right now? And does it matter?

This MB broke after the Bengals game and has been festering pit of toxic negativity ever since. This place is close to what the original BBMB was before it was shut down. -
Jets OT TD should have been called back...
TheyCallMeAndy replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall
Doesn’t matter, Jets deserved to win I’ll add to it: Had Bills won, the team may had an 3 turn overs sucks, but we got the W, no need to change anything mindset. I feel this may have happened last year. Losing forced the hard topic. -
JA’s big time throw % vs turnover worthy play % since 2020
TheyCallMeAndy replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
The fumbles are definitely a larger issue, but there was also more of those last year in the first 8.5 games. Of the QBs who throw 550+ times in a season, I’m willing to bet none of them run even half as much as Allen, and none have even a fraction of the ground production. When you throw more than most, and run more than most, you’re going to have more opportunities for turn overs. More opportunities for scoring too, he’s always in the top 3. -
Singular point imo when Josh started regressing
TheyCallMeAndy replied to Pete's topic in The Stadium Wall
The numbers don’t support that. He had LESS turnovers the 2nd half of the season. I think he had a stretch of 3 bad games where he threw 6 picks (it happens) followed by an elbow injury. -

The turn over narrative after a certain point last year is also false. I though he was an INT machine after the GB game, numbers prove otherwise. He had more INT in his first 8.5 games than he did the final 8.5 (I believe the totals was 9 before, 5 after) Allen had a tough game, but INTs have never really been a huge issue. He had an awful 3 game stretch last year where he threw 6, but that was in the early-middle of the season. Allen will be fine. -
Seems like there is some truth to our guys when they say they need to execute the play better. Is it also normal to use the same route combo 3+ times in the same game?
-
Well that’s not good.
-
In my opinion, yes. Many will disagree with me haha

Also friends, this mindset (including mine) that Josh was turn over prone after the GB game may have been wrong. *Inhales* Technically it’s not, obviously Josh Allen had MORE interceptions after the GB game (7th of the season) since they, you know, played 9 more games. He did have an awful 3 game stretch where he threw 6 picks. If we split Allen’s numbers in half last year, he had 9 picks in his first 8.5 games, and only 5 in his final 8.5. That is the opposite of the narrative than I was under the impression of. Even fumbles are the same story (7.5 fumbles, then 5.5). Fumbles are the bigger issue. 5 picks in 8 games doesn’t really concern me. Yard production was a different story, but his elbow and winter season may have also played a roll.

Week 2 Bills vs Raiders Home Opener!
TheyCallMeAndy replied to BuffaloBillyG's topic in The Stadium Wall
Pro football Reference advanced stats are in: Notes: Diggs caught 10 of 11 targets. Not ad advanced stat, just a good one. Kincaid was very impactful. PFR has a “success” rating, which gives a number out of 100 for yards gained vs down and distance. DK had a 100, meaning very good. Hardy and Cook did not do great on that success scale. Bernard was credited with 1 missed tackle. He was didn’t allow a reception (0-1), made 11 tackles, and had a QB hurry on his 1 blitz. Milano’s numbers were very similar (1-2, 7 yards and 1 missed tackle), plus a pick. Tre Day was targeted 3 times, gave up 2 catches for 1 yard and a TD. Did have 2 missed tackles (ouch) Benford also 3 targets, 2 catches for 26 yards. Zero missed tackles. Hyde and Poyer were solid, maybe rusty. You realize Josh isn’t going to sit here and answer questions at these pressers like the fans and media are the ultimate authority figures. He owes none of us any explanations/apologies and gives us all ‘coach speak’ answers because it’s what he was taught to do. -
Week 2 Bills vs Raiders Home Opener!

Lock clockwork, It’s Wednesday and I’m getting excited again after being disappointed with the team🤣 -
I found his presser and straightforward and honest as he tends to be for these. Heavily insinuates he was too hyped up, and needs to remind himself pregame to stay in the right mindset. He said the gameplan was good (I agree) and he tried to do too much when he didn’t need too. Said there are times in the past when he would take shots and they work, and it’s a double edge sword. He’s a rocket arm gunslinger with ADHD lol

He’s still the man, still the franchise, still the GOAT. There is no question. Kid is in a rut, a bad one, but he will pull out of it. Dabs definitely had a special father/mentor roll with Allen that is absent and missed. He and Dorsey may have a fine relationship, but I doubt it was as deep.

Week 2 Bills vs Raiders Home Opener!
TheyCallMeAndy replied to BuffaloBillyG's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don’t mind if Josh only throws for 225 and 1 TD, I just want to see sound decisions making overall. -
This single loss changed nothing, but I noticed a change in Josh last year that was concerning. He’s in a rut, a bad one. It’s fixable, he just hasn’t pulled out of it yet. Most players go through it. We’ve seen seasons where a guy has a down year. That said, I still 100% believe all our wildest dreams are still obtainable this year, and the biggest reason for that is still 17.
