  1. I think it may be a very safe assumption that a combination of White, Hyde, and Poyer will not be back next year. If the first 5 games are an indication, Poyer and White are likely. The “core” of the defense won’t be gone, because it has already changed. The new core is being led by Oliver, Groot, and Milano. Hyde is still in the group, and every week it looks more likely that Bernard and Epenesa will also be joining.
  2. Thankfully, the front 4 isn’t just 4 who have been playing at an incredible level
  3. Also, when Tre White popped his Achilles, he was announced the next day as out for season. That hasn’t happened yet for Jones OR Milano, so hold out hope as we wait for the MRI. I get they likely are out for the year, but there is a chance they aren’t. Surgery doesn’t necessarily mean season ending. I’m an optimistic guy, you all know this.
  4. Bills signed Floyd, Ford, and Rapp for insurance purposes. Losing Jones sucks, but that DL is playing lights out right now. Poona Ford/Tim Settle are going to have plenty of 1-1 situations, they only need to be solid with Oliver, Floyd, Groot and AJ playing at an elite level. Shaq and Jordan haven’t been slouches either. Milano is a huge loss, but Dorian Williams was a 3rd round pick and OLB doesn’t have the same heavy responsibilities that MLB has if we see Dodson. CB is a concern, but Dane Jackson is a proven capable CB and Christian Benford looks to be the same kind of player. If the DL can maintain their elite play it will take the pressure off the very young LBs, CBs, and aged Safeties.
  5. 5 games in, the season total projections are crazy: Allen - Yards, TD, Completion percentage Two 1000 yard WRs A 1000 scrimmage yard RB. FOUR defensive players with 10+ sacks (Floyd, Oliver, Groot, AJE) Oliver on pace for 30+ TFL.
  6. Oliver is on pace for 13 sacks and 30 tackles for loss 🤯
  7. Why in the blue hell would you trade him?
  8. Poona Ford should be able to step right in. I know he’s been inactive, but he’s been a good player when at 1T. He just a more limited 1T, where Settle can line up at 3T.
  9. He’ll be like AJ Klein. Next to no chance of seeing game day but will be really good for a really young CB room.
  10. That’s why I leave my gas tank on E. If someone wants to steal my truck they’ll need to fill it up 😂
  11. I’m nearly positive Vickers was lining up at DE. Rapp should’ve seen the field, I felt Poyer struggled. Benching Elam isn’t shocking, but kind of is. Dodson and Williams seemed to split (ish) OLB, both looked solid.
  12. My best and honest advice is to stay off the MB for a while. It’s unrealistically toxic around here after a loss and if you’re already feeling dejected, this place will fuel it. Wait for official word on the injuries, and know we have a solid NT and 3rd round pick LB ready to step in.
  13. Finished the game with one tackles, only played a series or two.
  14. Puna Ford is a true run stuffing NT, hopefully Jones isn’t done for the year and Ford and fill in the gaps.
  15. In comes Puna Ford, a true NT. Let us hope he lives up to his reputation.
  16. He’s been rock solid since last year. Considering we have a 34 year old LE, extending AJ needs to be a top priority.
  17. The officials were heavily one sided, team fought hard
  18. Technically this is a highly accurate statement lol
  19. Epenesa’s diving clothsline 👌🏻
  20. Did D. Williams get injured?
  21. Other than his 6.5 sacks, 7 tackles for loss, 2 forced fumbles, 10 QB hits and 5 PBUs last year.
  22. You and I are on the same page with Benford, I have no doubts about that. If we went down the rabbit hole of CBs being good at preventing separation but yet struggling at preventing the reception, we’d hijack this thread lol
  23. That doesn’t prove or disprove anything. The information and data suggests the “lock down” talk is pre-mature. Not saying he sucks, he still has a lot to prove. 69% completion and a 10+ YPC is bad any way it’s spun. Truth is, the most picked on player on defense is Tre White (17 targets, 9 completions). Bernard, Johnson, and Benford are all tied for second, each player has given up 9 catches. Thankfully our DL and LB play has been elite.
  24. Eh. He’s been targeted 13 times and has allowed 9 catches (69%) for 148 yards (16.4 YPC) and 33 YAC. QB rating against him is 107. Plus side, he’s been credited with zero missed tackles. I still think his future is at safety.
  25. Brown is getting better every week and hasn’t been a liability. Bills stuck with him through his worst, they won’t dump him now that he’s ascending.
