Josh’s stats so far - the Ken Dorsey Offense
TheyCallMeAndy replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall
I get it isn’t all on Dorsey, players need to execute, ect, but Josh Allen clearly doesn’t fit this Ken Dorsey offense and players seem to have a difficult time picking it up. The offensive coordinator does take blame when the offense seems uncoordinated.- 105 replies

It was a major trickle down effect. The ineffective DTs resulted in big time issues for the DEs, which gave Mac all day to throw. Bills secondary isn’t the most athletic, so that created issues for the DBs. The DTs killed the run game because they couldn’t keep Bernard/Williams clean. Dodson came in because he is better vs the run, I wouldn’t be shocked to see AJ Klein see some reps as well until Ed is back and we figure out who can play next to him.

Seemed like he was yesterday. -
A trade is the only way to save the season

Might as well! -
I don’t see us upheaving the whole offense system that’s been in place since Mini-camps (12 personnel) but I think you see the progressions change with who’s targeted. Diggs Kincaid Cook Davis/Knox I don’t hate the idea of Shakir subbing in with Davis more, or more sets where Davis and Shakir are outside with Diggs in the slot.

I know this is just a Madden Trade Complain thread, but I think there is a decent shot they send a late round pick to Altlanta for Eli Ankou. I think they still need more, but that’s a start. -
Bruh he owes the media and fans zero answers. Just because he won’t throw his guys under the bus or call people out doesn’t mean people aren’t held accountable in private. Fans look to these stupid press conferences for answers wayyyy too much.

It’s not just for Josh’s issues either, there are a LOT of mental miscues on the offense.

RELAX! This may be a good thing for the Bills.

Where was our defensive line today?
TheyCallMeAndy replied to Toledo Bill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Phillips is more of a 290 pound DT. Good pass rusher, not much of a OL clogger. He loves to fly around, problem is he is 340 and gets injured doing so. I saw him get pancaked a few times today. Vickers was awful when he was down there. Poor DT play is terrible news for undersized LBers and D-backfield that lacks athleticism. -
His contract isn’t that bad. He’s like 6.4 million this year, 14.4 next year then an opt out. Someone might bite on that, but you have to scrap the whole offense. I’d rather just make Kincaid the top TE.
-
Poyer is a 32 year old safety with zero trade value and we have zero depth behind him. No shot of trading, no reason to. Knox is banged up and cheap (this year), expensive next year then an opt out clause. I am fully on board with Kincaid taking over the #1 role, but keep Knox as the #2. Why TF would you trade Dawkins? Why TF would you trade Oliver? Epensa? Why TFF would you trade Diggs? WTF. I can see them trading Gabe Davis, maybe, if it was a player-for-player swamp. I really hope they try to acquire Jones’ replacement because Settle has never been it.
-
And replace him with who?
-
He definitely doesn’t look 100% mentally or physically ready yet.
-
Only because our DT depth was not nearly to the level of the staters. Bernard/Williams was solid, I’m actually mad they benched him for Dodson.
-
I disagree; the defense was incredible until it lost Jones AND Oliver. The offense is sloppy and uncoordinated, I can absolutely see them letting Dorsey go. If we walk into next Saturday 4-4, I can see the move happening sooner than later. We have guys on the staff with more experience than Dorsey.
-
Not to mention, all these mental mistakes, penalties, issues with the play-clock; the offense looks unsure and uncoordinated. Whose job is it to coordinate the offense?
-
Yea London had nothing to do with today, last week, and likely the Jags games itself.
-
*sigh* Bills MUST acquire a capable replacement for DaQuan Jones, whose DT position responsibilities are different than Ed Oliver’s.
-
There must be some NTs on the market who, at the least, can eat double teams.
-
If you have 2 competent DTs in the middle, all is fine.
-
I think this is just a defense thread. Let’s keep it defense.
-
Of Puna, Settle, and Ford, only Ford has been a solid NT in the NFL. He has been a massive disappointment so far in this scheme. You can only “coach up” so much. Seattle hasn’t been reliable since day one, and Phillips is 340 but plays 290 and always seems to be falling down. Tell me where I’m telling lies.
-
The DT depth is awful and the Puna Ford gamble did NOT pay off.
