  1. I think the feelings/opinions of the core players would play a big role.
  2. Honestly I don’t think this is true at all. Maybe a few dipshits here, but the vast majority would want him released if he’s guilty.
  3. Rivera had nothing to do with that, that was the player/agent/GM I would believe that there is 0% chance he is fired in season. To fire McD in season means you need to find someone to be HC and find someone to be the DC. Then find someone to man the positions that were abandoned to fill the vacancies.
  4. Well said. Von is very likely her livelihood and financial security. That’s a very toxic dynamic.
  5. Speak with police and medical staff that was on scene, if they can. Even if a DV victim is changing her story, doesn’t mean it was a lie. Remember, there is a court document stating her injuries. That alone is likely enough.
  6. Depends if he’s suspended under the NFLs Personal Conduct Policy. If he is, it voids his 2024 guarantees and the team saves 17m. If the NFL doesn’t but the Bills investigation shows he did (or likely did) assault her, they would have to eat his contract.
  7. If she doesn’t press charges, the case gets dropped and he very likely isn’t suspended under the NFLs PCP. This all shouldn’t stop the Bills from doing a thorough investigation into these allegations and eating the dead cap if it comes to that. Some things are more important than football, I don’t want ANY woman beaters on this team, dead cap be damned.
  8. Seems like 99% of the posts here are “wait for the details to be released, but if he assaulted her get rid of him.” Being mindful of different behaviors that a DV victim can exhibit, how the NFL disregards DV situations, and being a “social justice warrior” are very different things. If the police/DA won’t investigate, the NFL still should, and if they won’t the Bills still should. The alleged allegations that are now allegedly being recanted are serious. Unless the affidavit is a complete lie, Miller doesn’t deserve to be rostered.
  9. This is what I’ve been saying, however there is a small list: Eric Bienimy - OC Washington (former OC KC): History of good offensive production, but it was all with KC. Washington is a bottom ranked offense this season. Also has a history of players not liking him. At all. Ben Johnson - OC Detroit: Year 2 of being an OC, year two of being top 5 in several key categories. He’s expected to be the top HC candidate. Kellen Moore - OC LAC: 5 years of OC experience, previous 4 with Dallas. Offense has been in the top 11 regularly, few seasons being in the top 5. Next Year: Bobby Slowik - OC Houston (Rookie OC) Brian Johnson - OC Philly (Rookie OC) Joe Brady - OC Buffalo
  10. Strange turn. Why text a TV station? It was via text apparently, very strange.
  11. I won’t lie, the PPV games that I had to get updates from apps were very relaxing 😂
  12. Not making excuses, but an old and not very athletic secondary playing a HUGE role in this.
  13. I wouldn’t be shocked at all if Bills wanted to hang onto McD for one more, SB appearance or bust, season with the idea that Joe Brady takes over after. We would retain some of the good coaches we have on staff that way as well.
  14. I agree that injuries are not an excuse. IMO they were worse last season and we went 13-3. Hanging on to aging players and not bringing in overly athletic FAs has been larger factors in the defense.
  15. https://theathletic.com/5066519/2023/11/20/nfl-head-coaching-candidates-2024/?amp=1
  16. He’s best MM every time but the heat stroke game. Dolphins haven’t beat a team with a winning record since that game.
  17. Who’s the replacement? Fire him is easy, who’s out there this summer?
  18. See now THAT is supportive data! Better than this “We SuCk mCDufUs” crap
  19. Who is out there? I’ve heard 2 names, one has a pretty cozy college job.
  20. I mean, technically, it is. Of the 12, how long have they been coaching? How long with an elite QB? We simplify something kind of complicated.
  21. Again not saying he doesn’t need to be canned if we miss the playoffs. I’m trying to point out his shortcomings are common and the 2024 coaching pool looks thin. Giving Beane/McD one more season and hire a new HC/GM in 2025 may be a better longterm move.
  22. So by that logic the only franchises in the NFL “committed to winning” would be KC. Got it.
