He’s on pace to go 30-36 this year with a long of 61. I can live with that. Went down a bit of a rabbit hole looking at our kickers since 2004 and where they ranked that year. My take away is this. Since 2004, there are very few (and I mean very few) guys who are Top-10 in FGs made and percentage. If you are among the best in FG made, having an average percentage (~80-85%) is ok. Bass has fallen into this category 4 times already. If you aren’t going to be among the top kicker for kicks attempted, you need to convert a higher percentage.

Honestly, yes I felt it was the right call. I still believe in Bass, I think he’s a good kicker.
