I thought Jefferson was solid vs the pass and had good rush numbers (3 sacks 6 QB hits) but garbage vs the run and didn’t tie up blockers keeping them off the LBs. I really like Harry and Zimmer, younger players too. If Harrison comes all the way back from his ACL tear, he could be a really good DT still.

Hughes and Addison were productive last year, but lack of DT quality hurt their sack numbers. Both guys can help the team if they took friendly pay cuts.

Addison needs to take a pay cut, he has 5 sacks, 7 TFL, and 8 QB hits. That’s decent production for RE2.

Butler, like so many on the DL, fell victim to no offseason, new defense, and injuries.

I get he’s 330, but I always got the feeling he was a Oliver type rather than Star.

Hughes really hasn’t done much in a few years, not surprised. I think there are lots of DL transactions on the horizon. Restructuring Hughes and Brown while releasing Butler, Jefferson, and Addison opens up a sizable chunk of cap space

All possible... I don’t trust McKenzie as a full time WR, but he’s obviously battling for that 4 spot. The scenario I like the best is Brown takes a pay cut and McKenzie is re-signed. Walk into next season with our top 5 guys under contract (and a healthy Hodges). Davis vs Brown for the boundary opposite Diggs.

I didn't realize this, but Addison, Jefferson, and Butler all have opt-out clauses in their contracts which essentially makes them all 1-year deals and all have bonuses due on 3/21. I feel like given the cap situation this year, we'll know in a few weeks what the future holds for those gentlemen as opposed to June 1st. John Brown release opens up the most cash, but I'm holding out hope they restructure Brown rather than cutting him and opening up another hole. That said, Bills could replace two players (Brown/McKenzie) with one player (Curtis Samuel - Carolina).
