I’m so glad Schobel is held so highly on this board, he was bashed all the time on BBMB and his accomplishments were devalued. People used to say he got garbage time sacks, and that was proven to be untrue. He did some interview with the team for legends day a few years ago, otherwise I think he’s living a quiet life. I remember a rumor he wanted to come out of retirement when the team signed Mario Williams, can you imagine that DL?

Love Boogie, he made plays every time he was on the field. That said, there was tons of optimism and hype around AJ last year too, and we know how that turned out. At least Boogie has had multiple moments on the field.

I’m sure he’ll be lights out, but typically once a guy has his retirement plans, his performance drops significantly. You thought Romo was bad calling the play while a team is at the LOS, just wait till Brady is doing it, in detail, before the huddle is broken

Tons for respect for Levi, he has zero reason to revisit or be transparent with what happened but he took responsibility and explained why he was taking that responsibility. That’s big time, and make no mistake about it; even though he took sole responsibility for what happened it wasn’t solely, or even mostly, his fault.

Not likely, apples to oranges. His importance comes vs heavy sets and scheme disguise. If the opponent lines up with 2 TEs, we now have a LB who should be capable of holding up vs a TE compared to marching Taron Johnson out there and praying they don’t run the ball. I love Taron and think he’s a BMF, but relying on him to act as the WLB is why we really struggled vs the run at times. Bills top 5 LBs are all outstanding athletes

I think so, giving him a 2 year deal with 1 year opt out wouldn’t be crazy. If the deal can’t be reached, I predict he would be replaced with either Taron Johnson or Neal moving to SS. I won’t pretend to know all the ins and outs of DBs in our system, but considering Hyde and Poyer are 2 former Nickel Backs, I don’t think it would be a huge stretch to assume Johnson or Neal could make that transition, especially Neal who started at SS. Jackson and Benford could be interesting prospects. Fans don’t want to talk about it, but if this injury costs Tre a step he could wind up at FS once Hyde retires. Bernard is same size as Milano and is a LB, I highly doubt the coaches view him as a potential safety. He would allow the team to run more base 43, though.
