My goodness, I completely forgot about him.

We know Kyle Allen is a capable backup QB, and we’ve seen guys struggle to pick up this system. Ultimately I doubt anything changes, no one will be a upgrade over Allen or Barkley at this point. Keenum, Turbisky, and now K. Allen have struggled to pick this system up quickly. I think the best way to solve the QB2 issue is to stop changing them every single year. Hopefully KA9 picks it up well as the year goes on and gets an extension.

Because amateur scouts with a website and a professional looking for specific traits for a specific defensive scheme are the same thing. McD himself has even said Williams will get looks at MLB once he learns the defense.

Dorian Williams is clearly the future MLB for this team. I get he’s listed at 230, but he looks the part of a modern NFL MLB. I could be wrong, but I could’ve sworn Beane admitted they drafted Bernard because they didn’t think they’d have Milano long term. I might be wrong.

Let’s not completely write off Dodson. He’s not Brandon Spikes out there, the kid is a good athlete. Is he a limited athlete? Sure, but the team has stuck with him for 4 years so far. He doesn’t need to be an elite LB, just a 1-2, year place holder.

I truly believe the NFL follows “booking” style where they try to “push” the big market teams. Is it rigged? Absolutely not. Does NFL have their preferred winners? 100%.

The team would be highly foolish to trade any of their roster-locked CB/DE/WR depth like AJE, Dane Jackson, or one of the WRs. The guys who aren’t roster locks, being Shane Ray, Jordan Phillips, Cam Lewis, ext, don’t have much trade value. I’d rather the team try to hide some of them on the PS than trade them for a conditional 6th.

His passing stats have been elite for 3 seasons. His running numbers are so good because he’s a legit elite NFL passer. What more consistency do they want? The list of guys with 3 straight seasons of 35+ TDs, 4300+ yards, and 10+ wins is shockingly short. If he 4-peats, the list grows even shorter.

Diggs will have 5-8 drops with 160 targets and 110 catches. Other guys will have that many drops with 80 targets and 40 catches.

People need to stop looking at it like “if he isn’t the starter right now, our coaching staff sucks.” Elam had big plays last year, but he also allowed 60+ completion percentage. He has more learning to do, and if his issue is confidence or “over thinking” then just throwing him to the fire because he was a first round pick is foolish. We are very fortunate that we have 2 other legitimate starting CBs that can play next to White that are allowing us to bring Elam along the way he needs to.
