My plan is to give up caring about football. It happened with MLB and NBA for me. This was the last sport I had true passion for. I get way too much negative emotion from cheering for this team. Losing to the Chiefs every year, enduring mahomes state farm commercials constantly playing, with no end in sight (lets be honest, nothing will ever change with this coach and gm) brings out the worst in me. Continuing to willingly do this after nearly 40 years is just Stockholm syndrome. I'm tapping out.

One of my best friends from childhood is a Chiefs fan. He had a Derrick Thomas jersey when we were kids.
