  1. I think we're really splitting hairs here. If he needed Tommy John surgery, someone would have broken that story by now, so the UCL is not ruptured. The reporting has been consistent on this from the beginning. He has a sprain of the UCL and nerve, and it is believed he can work through the injury. I do remember 2018, and he was ruled out immediately, there was no talk of him playing through it. Out of the game, and out for 4-weeks. The only detail we don't have a ton on, IMO, is can he make it worse by throwing on it?
  2. Stephania from ESPN is a physical therapist by trade and she said if he indeed is getting a Platelet injection, they usually give it 2-weeks. But Darlington didn’t have anything either.
  3. We have to wait until 4:00 PM. And I agree, against the Texans he stayed in one more play and then checked himself out of the game.
  4. So Twitter guy has no new information. The same thing that was reported Sunday Night.
  5. He's a miss in the draft. I think the smart thing is to let him go.
  6. Ok, but look at these “upgrades” Beane kicks the tires on. JD McKissic - Catches a bunch of short dump off passes, but a token player in the offense. Nyheim Hines - An okay scat back, who isn’t really playable as a ball carrier. Frank Gore - A way over the hill plodder that wasted snaps. Old “dual threats” who can’t get on the field - TJ Yeldon, Matt Breida, Duke Johnson.
  7. Not a good enough sample size? He’s been in the league 3.5 years now with similar output every season?
  8. Except we’ve seen this before. A swoon is not a Playoff chances killer, but the whole point was to get the #1 seed. We’ve done road Arrowhead twice and it sucks. 8 games in and we’re sitting here asking again about run game for the third year in a row, who is our #2, why don’t we have a Tight End, who is our Right Tackle this week, why does our offense go off the rails for 2-4 games every season?
  9. I think WR is by far the most pressing need this offseason. Safety - Sure Linebacker - Sure Right Tackle - Absolutely Interior Offensive Line - Yes But this team needs another apex playmaker to pair with Diggs. We've run the Davis, McKenzie experiment and they're not reliable enough. Too inconsistent.
  10. Against the Vikings, if the Bills came out and gave James Cook 30 carries, I think he'd have ~150 yards rushing. I think we'd be fine. Sal C and all of our media love to push this idea of trust. You have to trust James Cook before you can give him more workload. He's been fine, over 5 yards per carry, catching the ball easily out of the backfield. I get that we don't want to be a running team, perfectly fine, but we don't stick with the run. We bail immediately and start chucking, and/or just say Josh is 6'5" and he can handle that too. Singletary and Cook should be getting 20 combined handoffs every game, to take some load off Allen. I listened to Dorsey talk again about game flow and that's ok, but what was the game flow when you called back to back Zack Moss runs for 1-yard against Miami? What about game flow when James Cook has 5 carries for 35 yards in rapid succession in Green Bay and then never sees the ball again?
  11. Because the Chiefs rotate 5 different WRs behind Kelce: Hardman (4.31 in the 40) JuJu Smith-Schuster Marques Valdez-Scandling Kadarius Toney Skyy Moore And they have the best QB in football, with a legendary offensive coach. The Bills have a great playmaker at QB, a high-end #1, an all or nothing deep threat, and little else at WR or Tight End.
  12. How is Singletary averaging 4+ ypc? James Cook is averaging 5.3 ypc?
  13. I think Nyheim Hines is going to disappoint. I don't think he's very good. I think the Bills should run the ball more in conventional sets and settle this offense some. Allen is taking 1-2 hard shots every game. They also need to phase in Kumerow and Shakir.
  14. Yeah sorry, we beat the KC Chiefs on the road in Arrowhead. The path to the #1 seed is evident. And I don't want to hear will still are #1 seed. You don't lose a 14-3 and tip your cap to the Jets.
  15. Yeah, no... The iteration of the Josh Allen Bills has been building for 3 years. This Jets team just lost their #1 RB, the talk all week was is Robert Saleh losing it for naming Zach Wilson the starter the rest of the year. The Bills were the #1 scoring defense in the league, and had the best point differential in the NFL. So, I don't want to tip the cap. Our offense fell apart in the second half and the defense couldn't stop the run on a drive that started from the goal line. Plus, the Bills have a veteran HC.
  16. 1. Run the ball more. Singletary is effective. 11-13 carries per game. Cook, on the field more 5-6 carries per game. Aim for 20 runs plays per game, that’s still the Bills passing ~60% of the time. 2. We’ve been static in our personnel grouping. It’s Diggs, Davis and McKenzie. Start rotating in Kumerow & Shakir, even if that means Diggs has to sit out a play or two, or Davis has to come off the field here and there, and certainly McKenzie. Start tapping into the depth on this team. 3. Figure out how to help the RT. Brown was being mauled in Kansas City and Miami, and Quessenberry was a turnstile yesterday. Rotate those two, use Gilliam, but it can’t just be take a good receiver in Knox and make him a 6th OLineman. 4. Look at your players throughout the game. It’s the middle of the 3rd Quarter and Diggs hasn’t had a target? Figure out a way to get him the ball. It’s ridiculous that he didn’t have a target until the last drive of the 4th, that’s unacceptable.
  17. I’m frustrated with this constant Buffalo media narrative that you can’t run the ball, should never look to run the ball, not running it is no problem, etc. Singletary has been fine for us this season. The offense felt discombobulated yesterday, and we could have used some 3-4 yard gains to settle out. Cook has no role in this offense. Hines is going to see the ball 1-2 times a week. Sal C is out of his mind if he thinks Hines is going to play slot for us, he’s an ok receiving type back. The coaches are doing this to themselves. It’s a 1-score game and Singletary gets what, one carry in the second half? Just a thought, if Singletary got 30 carries against the Vikings, he’d be fine and have 120-150 yards rushing. I actually agree with McDermott here. We need to stick with the run a bit more in these games. You don’t need Dalvin Cook, or Nick Chubb to be effective. n We overthink ourselves and limit ourselves by saying we can’t, we can’t, we can’t.
  18. WGR today said contracts coming up that Oliver is on that list. In what world? He's been 'ok' and that's all. Any rookie DT could fill in for Ed. He's a JAG.
  19. What I don't understand is he sounds fine in the post game. Answers questions normally. After the Green Bay game he calmly explained that he had to be better. So if he was concussed, he doesn't sound like it. But maybe the symptoms only happen when he has to move?
  20. Feels like last year. Bills beat Chiefs in Arrowhead, you have a game lead. Feels like the Jags. Watching KC survive last night and pull even. And with the Bills these strange lulls/problems just pop up. You go from an offense that can score 30+, to an offense that has no rhythm. Allen goes from a wizard, orchestrating a last second throw to Knox, to now throwing rookie like interceptions again. Nobody besides Diggs is doing anything offensively. 2022 Gabe is a 2/3 no show, McKenzie is just too limited, too small, our Coaching staff continues to bury Kahlil Shakir. Singletary runs for 80 yards one game, then we say we can’t run the ball at all and give him 8 carries the next week in a one possession game. Allen played like Zach Wilson yesterday. They were in his head. He bailed out of every pocket, looking for miracle plays. And what bothers me is, two weeks in a row, he’s under throwing several passes a game. Greg Cosell has said a run game settles your offense, and this towns media is allergic to any notion that you can pass 40 times a game and run 20-25 times a game. With this team, they are just fragile and prone to unexplained lapses where they forget how to play football. Meanwhile, Mahomes literally got 10 yards help rushing last night and they found a way.
  21. They paid Dawson Knox. He’s giving you 3 catches for 25 yards a game so far. Not sure why he can’t be used underneath at all. All this focus on running back at the trade deadline, I don’t want the dump-off Chargers offense, but get McKenzie out of there because Allen needs some easier completions over the middle. Need better play at RT. Singletary needs a steady 12-15 carries a game. Have to do something with Gabe Davis, because he’s useless 2 of every 3 games.
  22. Gabe Davis is hurting this offense. He’s been a no-show in all but two games this season. I said this in the post-game, but everything with the Bills feels like Allen has to run around to escape real or perceived pressure, and him tossing dying footballs to the sidelines for miracle toe tap catches. Those seem to be the only plays Dawson Knox is involved in, Josh Allen scramble drill, throw almost out of bounds, Knox diving to catch. Like you said, nothing in the middle of the field, no commitment to the run game. WGR has been allergic to any talk of running the ball for 3 years. But it does put all weight on Allen to do everything, mostly him running out of the pocket and making dime throws.
  23. Great summary and 100% agree. And we’ve been exposed enough by Miami and the Jets to see the flaws. Right Tackle is a mess. Today, Allen was moving around constantly, no rhythm, leaving the pocket, trying to create, pressing, under thrown passes. I’m about done with “don’t trust” or “not good at it” narratives. Singletary is fine running the ball, +4.5 yards per carry. 12-15 carries is not too much. Get James Cook more involved. All we hear is he’s a rookie, we can’t trust him, too much on his plate. It’s insane, guy was a 2nd Round pick playing RB, not orchestrating the offense. Where is Khalil Shakir and why is he not out there? He’s worthy of trust late against Baltimore, Allen throws into triple coverage against Pittsburgh, but now? Nope he can’t be trusted. Gabe Davis is completely ineffective on anything other than a go-route.
