  1. And yet what are the other options? There is virtually nothing in FA. There is Jerry Jeudy for unknown cost (supposedly). And every draft analyst comes on and says this isn't a great class for WR. So is it on Beane to make a trade? #27 could be the best WR left. Going to have to have the draft of their lives. They have 6 picks.
  2. Then they need to keep restructuring and start cutting players because Sal C just said that they are roughly at $15M in cap space right now. And if you have to get a weapon, competition at RT, a veteran S, maybe a LB, how are you going to do all that?
  3. I think trading Oliver at this point feels almost like a must if the Bills want anything higher than low-level free agents. Unless the Bills are restructuring Diggs and/or Dawkins, while cutting McKenzie.
  4. With who? There is no competition. Quesenberry is not real competition, and a starting level OT is not going to be cheap enough for our cap I don't think. It would have to be a draft pick I think.
  5. Nice player, not sure how he fits on the Bills.
  6. Hopkins makes sense to me. I don’t know where you’re going to find a better ready-made top flight WR for a last push with Diggs.
  7. Never said the first one you just typed out, the ____ fail. I’m just saying, not good or bad, that based on cap space, I don’t think the Bills can do much. Beane has said as much. Maybe if they dipped into Diggs, White or traded Oliver. If they could get a Slayton or Zachheaus, and maybe a Safety, that’d be a good haul to me.
  8. Didn’t Tyler M get $2.5M ? That seems high for 9.5 tackles/year as a Special Teams demon.
  9. Some refuse to acknowledge restructure. Yes that’s what previous posts of Tre White and Diggs could free up $6M apiece means. An across the board refusal to acknowledge the fact that restructures can create cap space. I’m a flat earther, you got me. But also, Beane has said in the after the season presser that he doesn’t want to kick money down the road forever.
  10. I’m not freaking whining. If anything I’m just being realistic as to the caliber of players they can afford. How would we even have space for a Bobby Wagner?
  11. Bills just re-signed Terrell Dodson. Not sure if he counts against the 51-top contracts, but between him and Cam Lewis, Ike Boettger, these undisclosed contracts that I assume are low are starting to pile up. I agree on Phillips, you’d love more certainty, but this is the level of player Bills can afford now. Seemingly…
  12. I wish we could swing a trade for Cisco. Every time I looked up it seemed he was making a play.
  13. Bump down to a rookie, or vet-minimum player? Re-sign Phillips for vet minimum?
  14. At this point ditching Oliver is almost a necessity if Beane doesn't kick any more money down the road. Unless you're going vet minimum everywhere else.
  15. With those numbers, assuming $2M for Martin, and no Cam, it puts the Bills at $16.9M cap space. Not sure how they squeeze much more than vet minimums at LB, S, WR, Backup QB, possibly RB with that much space, unless pulling the Dawkins/Diggs/Tre White restructures, McKenzie release, D.Jones extension.
  16. HENCE THE +/- $3M. And yes, I know Over the Cap exists, as does Spotrac. Regardless, I guess the point I was trying to make is what other levers do the Bills have? Cutting McKenzie would be $2.6M saved, Bills could restructure Dawkins and Diggs for $6M apiece, and trading Oliver $10.2M (assuming all that money is put on the next team because it's a guaranteed 5th year option), extending DaQuan Jones could drop you a couple million.
  17. Bills were nominally $17M over the cap. Allen and Von freed $32M. Milano freed $6M Hines freed $1.3M Settle freed $0.6M That's $39.9M. So with McGovern at $7.7M year, Martin at $2M year, Tyler M at $2.5M, Cam Lewis $1.2M (vet-min guess), Ike Boettger $1.2M (vet-min guess) That leaves $8.3M left? +/- $3M, so at most right now $11M?
  18. Yeah I don't like that trade. Renfroe for $11M? No thanks.
  19. First WR domino has fallen, so the Bills better be on it today and get at least one veteran in-house.
  20. We’d have to trade for him, correct? Cam Lewis is awful, but some of the special teamers we tried to draft (Vosean Joseph, Rashad Wildgoose come to mind) couldn’t stay in the NFL, so we’re stuck with Lewis.
  21. First two games back, 22 catches, 262 yards and a TD.
