  1. Well Hyde and Poyer weren’t All Pros when the Bills got them. Bills need to figure out what happened against the Browns late in that game because they gave up huge completions.
  2. 100% right on the money. We are all-in on trying to win a Super Bowl. Beane showed that understood the importance of game breaking WRs with the Diggs trade. You have to pile them on.
  3. Maybe 8 or 9 defensive starters out is the critical number this staff is waiting for before there is urgency.
  4. Then it's on the Bills Coaching Staff or Tre to just say what's really going on. All we have to go on are the facts. He was PUP listed, activated off the PUP, practicing, cleared medically, and has been a healthy scratch for 3 games in a row now?
  5. Well I'm sure our coach will shed light on this when he talks to the media at 2:00 PM.
  6. He gets 7-Days and faces a tough New England defense.
  7. As Beck Water just pointed out, $37M in Dead Cap to cut him. +20M in the next two years.
  8. You'll get pushback, but I'm starting to lean in this direction as well. Our Coach says nothing worth while on this topic. And we haven't heard from Tre in a year. It's now to the point where he isn't even up for debate on playing, he's just ruled out on Friday's now. Yeah but you have nothing to base that on. You're just hoping. So 7-more weeks of him being out and just practicing fully with no injury designation and you're fine?
  9. Fans are not wrong that McDermott has the tendency to hold onto these fringe Special Teamers. And Toney went right back to the bench with a hamstring again.
  10. You're not wrong. In some spots - secondary/corner - I think the Bills have scouted, developed and done well. Hamlin is a good player as a 6th Round pick. He hits hard, and hasn't quite developed the knack that Hyde has for making plays on balls in the air. Benford is a 6th Rounder from Villanova that has had to come in and play immediately, and he is playing good for that level of expectation. To get Dane Jackson in the 7th and he can start, that's good scouting. The Bills #1 corner has been out for a year now. To your point, the Bills haven't gotten much return on the draft investment made in the defensive line. Rousseau is a good DE, with elite size, from a large school, so that pick looks good to me. Beyond that Epenesa is not getting a 2nd contract, he was slow at the combine and he's had to play in the 250's to try and compensate for that since, Basham is a part-time player, they've band-aided at DT, and Oliver has been ok, but not compared to a Top 10 draft pick standard. Bernard needs to spend the entire year trying to get bigger, he looks small on the field, and you don't see anywhere near the closing speed of Milano. On offense, the Bills have no #2 Tight End. The Bills found a good LT, and paid for a Center. Otherwise, they've gone the band-aid route and patched in with lower draft picks and spot starters in free agency. From time to time this rears it's ugly head. Like I've said in other threads, in warmups it is obvious that beyond Davis and Diggs, there are no answers at WR. This is the Bills biggest need heading into 2023. They need another playmaker with size/speed. Right now these players they have are just too small. And they have really gone all-in on running back. Singletary has been a good player, I think, for a 3rd Rounder. He's steady, does his job, been productive from day one, and Cook is coming on. The Bills need a draft focused on WRs and Offensive Lineman. Of course, they will also have to manage Josh's cap hit, and age at Safety, and if they can't resign Edmunds, MLB will push Offensive Lineman down in importance.
  11. I really don't like the tight formations. I think the spacing is terrible. We have too many plays that remind me of the Knox TD against Indianapolis in the Playoff game. Tight bunch formations, with Allen having to make heaves to players on the sidelines. The offense flowed better in 2020 when the Bills ran a true 4-wide, empty set offense. On the positive, I noticed the Bills using the toss sweep run play to Cook, allowing him to get the ball in his hands much faster than that shotgun RPO stuff. They have to do something, watching McKenzie, Shakir and Gentry warmup with Diggs and Davis, the drop off is enormous.
  12. Diggs was definitely barking yesterday. Helmet was on and off, and he was coming in and out of the game. Yup, Diggs went in motion on that play and got a running start and it opened up beautifully.
  13. They have the Rams first pick and listening to their postgame, they have some hope for the first time in a long time.
  14. Maybe the Bills can get Elam back, although Rhodes played a lot yesterday and I don't remember him giving anything up.
  15. And they showed a highlight at the game Wilson threw a football directly to a Patriots linebacker who dropped it.
  16. That spread is too high. I wonder who, if anybody, the Bills get back for this game? If I could pick one player it would be Tremaine Edmunds.
  17. I was rooting for the Patriots. NY was feeling themselves, got Mike Greenberg on ESPN running his mouth, Damian Woody, Rex. Back to reality Jets, your QB is Zach Wilson.
  18. I agree, it was stark in pregame warmups watching tiny McKenzie, Shakir and Gentry. I got into the stadium and just watched them. They might really be in a situation where they need Crowder back in the Playoffs, because McKenzie just gets lost out there, too small to be a reliable option. At 2:14 PM I texted my family we need Beckham badly.
  19. I agree with this. You watch our WRs in warmup, yesterday with McKenzie, Shakir and Gentry, they’re all so small. Our WR room is two guys. This staff has seemingly given up on Shakir. I did notice Hines in the slot a couple of times, they had Cook out wide once.
  20. Freaking nice. Could see everything, did all the freezing in line to get in. Yes Bernard, good catch. #43 came in, I noticed him, he ended up in the slot against Cooper and got torched. I definitely wanted a Milano clone, he’s not that a clone. He’s more like Keith Ellison from the 2007 Dick Jauron Bills. Poyer’s closing speed is noticeably different out there.
  21. Just a few mental notes I made: Josh didn’t see Diggs break wide open early in the game. Stefon motioned across the formation and he could have had 20-30 yards. Phantom PI against Hamlin. What a ridiculous call. Phantom hold on Josh’s lone big run of the game. Overall, I saw the same thing, it gets to 3rd-10+ I expect this defense to allow the first. But the defense really needs Rousseau, Edmunds, Tre White and Elam back. Bernard came in at linebacker for on play, ended up in the slot on Cooper and got roasted. He looks too small to be a linebacker, too slow to be a safety.
  22. I’ll be doing your same drive tomorrow morning, straight up 75-North.
  23. Me and 2 of my coworkers had our back window broken and our luggage stolen on a work trip at Slows BBQ.
  24. Crowder was more of the same though. Beasley was older when we got him, Emmanuel Sanders was on his last legs, and Crowder was trending down. I said it when they signed him, he’s old, and you don’t want him playing over younger players. This team has signed skill guys like this - Tolbert, Ivory, Gore, Andre Holmes, and they just don’t last. This is why most fans have been pointing out the lack of playing time for Shakir and the desire to sign Beckham. We need some capable players. It shouldn’t be a shock to anyone that Crowder didn’t last.
