  1. I agree that his answer made no sense. He just talked about balance and keeping the Jets guessing. It was a similar story after the Vikings in the 4th quarter, why are you passing with 3 minutes left? Situation aside, all I can take from Dorsey is the same thing I could take from Daboll, he’s going to do what’s he’s going to do and it’s not always going to line up with what we are seeing on TV. At this point I don’t have any belief that a Hines package is coming for instance, or that Gabe Davis starts running different routes, or Dawson Knox becomes the #2 because we can’t wait for Gabe any longer. I think Cook’s usage will stay erratic and there won’t be any quality explanation for it. Hopefully it’s enough to win.
  2. Would the Bills rather have a 100% Von Miller right now Or Davante Adams with no Kaiir Elam or James Cook? (If you need to throw in Bernard, Shakir, Araiza). Going forward I would expect more teams to follow the Dolphins, Eagles and Bengals model. Get the QB, and then do everything you can to get two #1’s.
  3. Jerry Sullivan’s negative demeanor matched the Bills perfectly in that 2005-2014 timeframe. At the end of Ralph’s time, the Bills were a cheap Mom and Pop shop, not looking for a real GM, hiring low end Coaches and generally clinging to the past. But he’s continued that shtick after the Buffalo News and well into Allen’s accent. Why he still lives here, why he still hovers around this team viewing them through the lens of The Drought, he can’t let go.
  4. It’s the pressure on the team and fan base of never winning the Super Bowl. And the desire to erase the memory of 13-seconds ASAP. Fans can accept that in 2020 we weren’t ready. But 2021 was different, we climbed the mountain and got pushed back down the hill.
  5. Listening to Dorsey, I don't expect any changes. - I don't think any big Hines package is coming. - I think Cook's touches are going to be erratic - I don't think any expansion of Gabe Davis routes is coming - When Dorsey talks about balance in the offense it really makes no sense - There wasn't a huge role for Crowder when he did play, but maybe between an occasional John Brown target, Cole Beasley 😬 back in the slot, Dawson Knox occasionally making a big play we can still be in that 25 points per game neighborhood. I have faith in Allen and Diggs. And Dorsey played the position, was a National Champion, and has years in the NFL. I just don't expect a lot to change. There are 4-games left, who is really suddenly going to develop a role now?
  6. Dorsey says the offense is evolving. I’m not sure where or what it is.
  7. Chris "I'm not watching the tape, so I couldn't tell you" Parker.
  8. Yes, your point is valid. We lost size with Kumerow and the possession aspect with Crowder almost immediately this season.
  9. Well you would think Miami would push him onto the field. They’re 4 deep with Sherfield and Cedrick Wilson.
  10. I wonder what the Crowder role would be, because he played 3.5 games and had 6 catches for 60-yards. That's a 291-yard pace. So he'd really have to come back in and start demanding targets.
  11. Do you see much diversity in the routes he runs? I don't. He runs that deep comeback, and the go-route. Yesterday when he caught that pass underneath and ran to the first down marker, I thought to myself, that's different. He does have those incut routes like the Kansas City game out of the endzone, he had one of those in the first Jets game too.
  12. I hear you Einstein, but you're depending on old players in retirement to come out and be difference makers. Hines? I just don't see anything coming with him. McDermott has identified him for Special Teams duty, and I just don't see anything that indicates he is going to be a piece of this offense. He's on the field sometimes, but has Josh thrown him one pass out of the slot? Right now, the Bills can't consistently get Singletary and Cook to 20 touches per game. That's why there was more interest in a WR at the deadline over a RB. Sunday was another game where we have these three backs, but they're just not involved much. They take a backseat to Josh Allen's running. So not sure why Beane has been so determined to get these scatback types on the roster.
  13. Well regardless of if you think there is no cause for concern or frustrated with the lack of options behind Allen's running and Stefon Diggs, there are only 4-games left to figure out some answers. Can Gabe do anything except 3 catches for 35 yards? I guess 13 games into the season Cook is whiffing on assignments so that means he must sit out all game. There is no next level for Isaiah McKenzie. The only answers I can see are Knox and running the ball more.
  14. I'm not sure what Dorsey is doing right now. Game to game there doesn't seem to be consistent logic. Do we have any portion of the offense that is a staple? Allen runs and Diggs. We're heading into Week 15 and everyone besides those two you have no idea what's going to happen besides a general "nothing" result.
  15. Cook gets 20 touches for 105 yards 11 days ago. This game, he touches the ball 5-times? 🤷‍♂️
  16. Coming off a game where the Bills ran and dominated TOP to the tune of 39-minutes.
  17. I agree with all of this. The Bills are already $10M over the cap next season, although there is speculation it could increase $20M to the to the $225M range. As soon as the Seahawks stopped drafting so well, the elite defense dried up. Guys on that side of the ball get old quickly. I'll look at the game log, but I wonder how many times the Bills ran in the second half with running backs.
  18. I agree with this, the Bills are up multiple scores and he's just passing constantly. He did that in Vikings game. I'm sure today we'll get "gameflow" as the reason the Bills ran Cook and Singletary a combined 12 times yesterday.
  19. How do fans that talk about how the run can’t work rationalize Cook averaging 5.1 ypc and when he gets 20 touches against New England he goes for 105 scrimmage yards? When they use him, he’s been productive. When they give him 2-4 carries what are you supposed to do with that? I saw Singletary run for 16 yards on a carry yesterday, that happened. So I’m not sure why the takeaway is we just can’t run at all.
  20. Singletary is averaging 4.4 ypc. Cook is averaging 5.1 ypc. Allen is averaging 6.3 ypc. Singletary runs for 16-yards and sees 7 carries the rest of the day. The Bills don't make any effort to stay with a semblance of a run game for all 4-quarters despite being up most of the game.
  21. To me, the post game follow-up this week has been inconsistent to the WGR brand. Schopp and his "analysis" is always don't punt, if the Bills call a run play it needs to be Josh Allen. Jeremy White today has banged the drum of the Jets are a really tough matchup for the Bills and he's starting to crack on the Bills are going to be a 30+ ppg elite offense. Normally, just like Schopp, he is the captain of the don't run the ball ship. I think this week, the WGR hosts have picked a narrative that the Jets are really tough, and no criticism of the Bills offense is valid. But normally, they are pass-pass-pass-pass-pass, never run, never punt. Running = conservative and we don't do that. I haven't heard a caller get through yet and either show give credit to a point made.
  22. I agree, they abandoned the run again yesterday. The one positive on the run game yesterday was they weren't afraid to call designed Josh runs.
  23. I love how ESPN comes to the party in December like they are breaking a story here. Thanks Dan! 👏 This is why many fans saw the need for the Bills to start running the ball to keep this offense more on a schedule. This is why when WGR keeps banging the drum to pass-pass-pass-pass, fans say we do need to run the ball. It's disappointing that Cook continues to come and go. 14 carries for 64 yards against the Patriots, yesterday he got 4 carries, many of them late. In terms of the pass game, all the Bills can do is just drill, drill, drill with the guys they have. Dawson Knox is not suddenly going to become the second option at 80-100 yards per game. The Bills haven't tried a deep shot to Gabe Davis since the Allen 70-yarder against the Jets. The Bills need to run the ball more, and stay out of 3rd-10+.
