  1. I agree. Our media and National Media are obsessed with interceptions, but a couple of those balls get caught and Allen is close to 400-yards passing.
  2. McDermott just said Dane could have come back in if needed. We’ll see what it looks like this week. Bills made the smart move today to deactivate Phillips. The run defense didn’t suffer.
  3. Tre Lance has started games, same coach, their offense has never looked this good with him there.
  4. Makes sense, if Fred Warner played for the Seahawks.
  5. He looks good to me. He gets rushed, he escapes. There was a throw in the first quarter to Aiyuk over a linebacker that hit him in stride. Nervous backups can’t complete passes, they checkdown, they throw interception, hold the ball and take sacks. Purdy just makes plays and is more mobile. They’re better with him than Jimmy G.
  6. Yeah I agree, and after Year One I had no idea he’d become this version. I knew the Bills skills players were atrocious and that was masking the potential, but for instance, the Green Bay game was bad. Week 17 in Miami when he had 5 total touchdowns, I thought that’s his best game of the year and something to build on. Definitely can’t say I was for sure until the Dallas Thanksgiving game.
  7. What if the Bills let Singletary go, don’t resign Oliver? I agree that the combination of draft assets to acquire (unless the Bills go player for player), and a new contract makes it harder to envision. But I do think if the Bills fall short, then it’s a move to consider. After last years spree, is the new normal going to be other franchises trading away their #1 WRs?
  8. Just going to watch the backend of our secondary. With no Hyde, and McDermott already declaring no Hyde next week, regardless of Skylar Thompson, I will be interested in how organized the back-end of the defense looks.
  9. It will be interesting to see what the Chargers look like. They dumped off a lot this year, without Guyton they don’t get much deep. Scored 23 ppg. And the Jags? They barely squeaked out that game against the Titans, couldn’t score in the second half.
  10. So Hyde won't play at the 12th day of the 21 day window. But the 19th day of the window he'd be good to go? It's that fine of a line?
  11. He's had the red non-contract jersey on for this weeks practice. In his interview he said the trainer has been pushing him in the weight room, and he stays afterwards to do 100-lunges.
  12. Hyde said the injury is 100% healed. No idea. Sean and his flat, emotionless face as he delivers this news. Any other time he plays things to the vest.
  13. What gives me hope is that Hyde said the injury is 100% healed. They aren't waiting necessarily for physical steps to hurdle. Assuming his 21-day window started this Wednesday 1/11, next Sunday puts him at 11-12 days. So, it has to be next week or the AFCCG.
  14. I wonder if we'll get reporting from Sal or others on if Settle was limping, or if they were checking knee/shoulder.
  15. What happened with McKenzie, went into practice yesterday healthy, got hurt in practice and landed into the limited category. Now today he is not practicing. Bills were already playing a short rotation at DT with Phillips not close to 100%.
  16. There are several candidates for cut if Hyde or Crowder come back, including Mayden. I agree with others, call-up with be John Brown and Brandin Bryant. That Phillips video from this past weekend was eye-opening.
  17. I like this approach at WR. I think the team is coming to the end of the road with McKenzie, Kumerow, Crowder. I still think Davis is an important piece to the team, but I am still onboard with 1st Round WR. Skill/speed/size is a must add, in that order. In a traditional team building mode, I’d think #2 TE would be a target, but Tight End in this offense is not targeted high enough to warrant top investment in another, i.e. Mike Mayer from ND for example. I think coaching is going to have to take place of more investment in the defense in high value areas. Bills are going to have to get more out of Elam, Rousseau, Basham and Epenesa and Oliver. Those are all top flight assets. Coach them up, improve the off-season workout planning. But this team has been mediocre on the OLine at LG, RG, RT for years, and Morse concussion history factors in as well. Interior OLine and we’ll need better than Quesenberry and Doyle at OT.
  18. 2017 - CB Tre White 2018 - QB Allen 2018 - LB Tremaine Edmunds 2019 - DT Ed Oliver 2020 - WR Stefon Diggs 2020 - DE AJ Epenesa 2021 - DE Greg Rousseau 2021 - DE Boogie Basham 2022 - CB Kaiir Elam 2023 - Another DE? Ford was a complete bust in 2019, other than Diggs and Morse, the Bills have bargain shopped everywhere around Josh. Josh is the only reason any of this is on the table.
  19. Our media acts scared of the Dolphins if Tua plays. They ask questions of their guests asking if the Dolphins would hold Tua out even if he is medically cleared. I don’t think there is any way that happens.
  20. He’s the only WR we have with any size. Take him away and we’re back to the 2006-2007 Smurf Bills that caused them to take James Hardy.
