  1. I would think it would have to be Lawson. Epenesa is too slight, and gets pushed past the QB often.
  2. Yeah these last two games are the outlier for me. I just don’t remember a ton of these 50-60 yard passes until these past two games. I mean, does Josh Allen attempt for then 20 of these passes a year? I don’t remember the deep ball as a huge component of this offense. Gabe had two long ones, and occasionally Diggs had a 40-yarder like the Jets first game. But it’s not like the Bills have a fleet of WRs capable of executing those passes. The Patriots pressed the Bills, competed hard, and I feel like that drove Allen to push the ball down the field so much. Do I have amnesia? Like early Mahomes to Hill felt like uncorking bombs almost every game and that tailed off to some degree. But is there a QB in the league that just uncorks these throws all the time? 40 yarders I can see, Rodgers does this, but not as many 55-60 air yard passes.
  3. Just watching these games, it feels like 1 of every 3 plays he’s getting beat. The Jets game was horrible, Josh had to move all day.
  4. I wonder why it has just exploded like this the past two games with the deep ball? It’s not like all season we have been crushing Allen for going deep constantly. Most games I don’t remember 50+ yard throws and deep bombs. So the media is all stirred up again about “calculated” this and “aggressive” that. But the picks this year have been on shorter throws for the most part.
  5. Yes, the media is really all over Allen and the turnovers and endless discussions about Damar. And McDermott has always been so pragmatic and structured when he talks. To me, he comes off as dry. But as long as the team responds to it. I don’t listen to a ton of other press conferences, but I do listen to the Lions and I enjoy Dan Campbell and his entire staff.
  6. Listening to 1530 AM Cincy now: 1. They’re banking on Josh Allen turnovers (and the assumption that Burrow won’t have any). 2. They summarize the Ravens game as just a great defense, and the Bills don’t have that level of defense. Bills should have all their “nobody is scared of them” weapons - McKenzie will be back, John Brown will be up, I think we’ll get Crowder back.
  7. I think he should have been IR'd after the Patriots game. And really in Chicago he couldn't move the arm either and checked himself out. I think he tore his rotator cuff and do much.
  8. SHOCKER 😲 So is it the case that every time he throws an interception, we're right back to he's regressing and playing like his rookie year again (when he had absolutely nothing on offense) ? Or is this really based on the Miami game, because the week before against the Patriots nobody seemed to have a problem with the deep balls? So really, what we have is, he better play perfect. Checkdowns, mixed with deep shots, need him to run, but also slide, need him to not get conservative, but we need to score 30+ as well to make ourselves feel good.
  9. My frustration is fans and media don’t have much specific in their complaining about Dorsey. 1. They say things like, Bills aren’t good at running the ball, but then it turns out that Singletary and Cook range 4.7 ypc - 5.7 ypc. And Dorsey has leaned on the run game as appropriate, cutting down Singletary’s snaps and upping James Cook, and probably most fans would like 2-4 more touches per game for Cook. And the Bills deserve credit for for finding a way to use Bobby Hart, because he was useless as a stand-alone player. 2. “Dorsey doesn’t scheme anything open” or “there aren’t enough layups” in this offense. Then All-22 comes out and there are plenty of underneath options. My criticisms of Dorsey most times are throwaway plays in the red zone where Josh rolls out of a tight formation and there is no one to throw to, instead of recognizing that Josh needs a designed run when you are 7 yards and in. And I wish this offense varied tempo more. I don’t like always waiting until 1 second to snap the ball. Jet Sweeps? Okay, Isaiah McKenzie can do that once in awhile, but do I need it as a foundational piece? Probably not. But I do think the offense is smoother with more presnap motion and window dressing. Our line is poor, especially at RT, so I’d like more 4-wide ideally. I want fans and media to get more specific.
  10. And our fans and media will immediately start crying when this becomes a checkdown ball control offense. Basically, our media just wants it to work. They point out obvious stuff and want a ton of claps on the back as they ask McDermott about dialing everything back to avoid mistakes. But sure, go out there Sunday and see if you can out checkdown the Bengals to victory.
  11. Sounds like you need to become a Bengals fan. Every time you post its some warning about how unstoppable that team is. They're capable, no doubt. But they don't lead the league in points scored or points allowed. You talk about them like they are the 1989 49ers.
  12. I didn't like that McDermott press conference. Still trying to get to know Kaiir. How about getting playmakers on the field coach? He's had 2-3 interceptions in limited work. Last week there wasn't going to be a rotation until Dane got hurt and they had no choice. Frazier said this. And always this "fine line" stuff with Josh, egged on by our media about avoiding turnovers. Its your job Bills FO to get him better talent. Allen is an A, playing with an offense assembled from spare parts and mid-round draft picks.
  13. YES. This was WGRs rallying cry for weeks, until Kurt Warner showed that there are plenty of checkdowns available in this offense. Kurt Warner also explained that Dorsey isn't in left field with some of these play designs. He runs things common to an NFL offense like mesh, or high-low combinations. Now we're back to we don't checkdown enough.
  14. So hedging your bets here? If the Bills win, well Dorsey isn't horrible. Bills lose, see told you. Josh is not the same Josh, can you explain this? Or is this just based on some interceptions from Green Bay and the Jets and last week being aggressive in Miami. He isn't the most even in terms of his production. I'll agree with that. It's not a robotic 300 yards like Herbert. Allen can be 350 or 150 some weeks. He is more Favre-like. Are you thinking the Bengals have just been held down 2-weeks in a row by a divisional opponent?
  15. Why can't the Bills just embrace who Josh is instead of always trying to manage him. McDermott again talking about fine lines. How about get another #1 WR? Improving the OLine? So he has more space to operate, and more athletic players to go to. The Bills drafted Gabe Davis - a go-route specialist - and they complain when Josh takes deep shots. I'm aggravated with this coaching staff and media, always wondering how to limit and control Allen. Have the tough conversations with him, coach him, continuously improve his S&C. But get another Diggs. You're reading Hopkins is available. That's the right idea, whether it's him or not. It's an arms race and its corner, DE, DE, LB, DE, DT every year high in the draft.
  16. Josh Allen essentially had the same exact year this year as 2021 on 1-fewer game. This guy is a moron and that's why I don't listen to anyone on FoxSports anymore.
  17. Allen has a Top 5 NFL WR on his team. 5/32 best WRs in the league, we have one. You're not saying anything Chris. We all know Gabe looks like a limited route runner, better in beating man coverage one on one with go-routes, although he does run a good comeback route. To some degree I agree with Simms. The Chiefs have JuJu-Smith Schuster and Kadarius Toney both 1st Round talents, Hardman (may or may not play is a 2nd Round pick), Skyy Moore (2nd Round), MVS - 5th Round pick. The Bengals have three first rounders - Chase, Higgins, Hurst, 2nd Rounder in Boyd. So the Bills are out there with Diggs, but after that it is 4th Rounder in Davis, 4th Rounder in Knox, 5th Rounder in Shakir, and so forth. As we've said the Bills need another 1st Round WR talent on this team to push everyone down a peg.
  18. Listening to Hyde, I believe him when he says that he is doing everything he can to get on the field.
  19. Dorsey has to remember QB designed runs inside the 10 instead of tight formations with one WR, Josh rolls to the side and there is no one to throw to. The 2nd and goal play in Cincinnati was awful.
  20. I think his ankle was bothering him after the Hendrickson roll, because it looked to me that he didn’t quite have his top gear. But I think he’ll run when he has to going forward in the Playoffs. It’ll be 3 weeks since that Bengals game.
  21. Of course. Hidden in that short snippet of a game was the Bengals (Mixon) gained 12 yards on 2 carries.
  22. Wonder if Colin Cowherd brings up his 2020 take that he wanted Burrow to hold out and not play for the Bengals? Tell them he wouldn’t report if they drafted him.
  23. I live here too and I just relish it. Yell you bandwagon fans. Mo Eger just said it on 1530. For years there was nobody wearing Bengals gear except on game days at the stadium. They want you to be scared and question your team. Steal a line from Rex: I’m not here to bow down. They got Burrow because they were the worst team in the league. They got Chase because they got Burrow’s knee destroyed and picked Top 5 again.
