  1. What the heck are the Bengals doing? Lost 3 starters now and lost Perine. And because they’re cheap/poor they conned Pratt into taking a vastly underpay contract.
  2. We’ll see. I’m highly skeptical that a 5’6” 170 pounder is going to be a regular starter on this team. Beane thought he was giving McDermott and Dorsey a weapon in Hines and he touched the ball 11 times on offense. The Bills just don’t have a track record of getting these types of players involved. McKenzie is a small slot and Allen struggled to get him the ball with any efficiency. Like others have said, nothing against the player, but I just don’t see how you can rely on him as a real player. He’s never been counted on to really produce as a Top 3 option, and he’s never been counted on to be healthy. I’ll be surprised if he emerges as more than a bit player for the Bills.
  3. You can’t say that. Board police will put you in cuffs. Especially with this Coach. Hines ended up playing ST immediately and never emerged.
  4. I do think the Bills need to move in this direction. With David now off the market, for a cheap $7M, it would make sense to get Wagner in here.
  5. I don’t buy this and put his production or lack there of solely on Dorsey. He’s a limited WR with a limited skill set. He’s much closer to a gadget player than an actual foundational player that can be counted on game in and game out. The Saints and their offensive coaching staff aren’t dumb. If he was that kind of player he would have been used that way. Regardless, as long as the Bills don’t think they’ve solved slot or solved their WR skill issue I’m fine. You can have this guy, but he’s not a real answer at WR on offense. And I do believe as soon as McDermott designates him as a Special Teams guy, he’ll become a STer by default and have a gadget role.
  6. I knew that would fire people up. Nobody is saying he is Tyreek Hill. But I listened to Sal Capaccio and Joe D and Jeremy White do their best to hype this up, as he is a Swiss Army knife kind of player. Joe D said something like this is a player that the Chiefs would maximize. He’s not. He has 700 career receiving yards. Like the one Saints poster said, small school guys who are fast but small are a dime a dozen. The Bills couldn’t figure out how to get James Cook or Hines or McKenzie consistent touches in the pass game. I am highly skeptical he catches any meaningful volume of passes for this team. He’s proven that he is a borderline NFL player/practice squader.
  7. If he was great he’d be a prime time player. He’s a fringe NFL player because his size limits him. Its delusional to think he comes here and becomes a Tyreek Hill kind of playmaker. Until further notice he’s in the pile of James Cook, Nyheim Hines, Isaiah McKenzie, guys that supposedly have the ability to take dump offs to the house, but the Bills in reality DON’T do that on offense.
  8. This signing is almost not worth talking about to me. He is more of the same from Beane. This delusion of Swiss Army Knife players that can take dump offs to the house. Once McDermott gets a sniff of his Special Teams abilities, he'll get permanently stuck there.
  9. Why weren’t all these restructures done already so the Bills their maximum money to spend before FA started?
  10. There was a reason he was a 4th Rounder though. He doesn’t have elite traits. He had a huge game against Pittsburgh and a few other good games, but he went missing for numerous games this year in the 3 catch-35 yards range. He gets credit for being the hardest worker on the team, but the guy has a belly. I know Beane scolded everyone for having too high of expectations, but I was let down by his performance overall. Inconsistent and a lot of games with low output.
  11. This is a great post and I believe it. There are fans in Buffalo, the team for years, that declared war on talent. That was Jauron’s entire mantra, lunch pail, try-hard players. Chris Simms was saying at the end of the year, the Bengals said it by disrespecting the Bills openly. Bills lack playmaking talent, not sure why RocCity can’t accept this.
  12. So RocCity do we extend Gabe now? Since he’s the answer at #2? Do you acknowledge at all that he has a limited skill set?
  13. So in your eyes we’re just fine with Davis? No need to try and add anything else but a slot?
  14. DeAndre Hopkins is an awesome player. Davante Adams is around 30 and had a huge year for the Raiders. Diggs is going to be 30 this season. You love to shove Beasley in fans face, when did he arrive in Buffalo? 30. I just think the Bills need to make a strong push while Diggs is still elite.
  15. RocCity - Come on man, you don’t want the Chargers offense. They scored 23 ppg with Herbert getting criticized for dumping off constantly. Their OC got fired. The Panthers offense in the later days with Cam where McCaffrey did everything is not one to copy or the Saints with Kamara at the end of Brees. Dumping off constantly to running backs. Too easy for defenses to stop.
  16. I don’t agree that Hopkins is over the hill. And I have to wonder how the Bills view this. They’re really satisfied with Gabe Davis taking his sweet time getting better while Diggs’ is in the later years of his prime?
  17. And yet what are the other options? There is virtually nothing in FA. There is Jerry Jeudy for unknown cost (supposedly). And every draft analyst comes on and says this isn't a great class for WR. So is it on Beane to make a trade? #27 could be the best WR left. Going to have to have the draft of their lives. They have 6 picks.
  18. Then they need to keep restructuring and start cutting players because Sal C just said that they are roughly at $15M in cap space right now. And if you have to get a weapon, competition at RT, a veteran S, maybe a LB, how are you going to do all that?
