  1. I think it's safe to wonder if the run defense up the middle is good enough to compete at the high-end. The Bills flunked against physicality and Derrick Henry, Detroit will be the Final Exam here. Can they do anything when Detroit runs up the middle, and how do they contain Gibbs sweep plays to the outside behind Sewell?
  2. I don't know where the Douglas injury was. He comes back in on the one series the Bills forced a punt. 1st and 2nd down the play isn't to his side. 3rd down he is in coverage, the ball is thrown to Kupp on the other side of the field and he jogs through the frame, sees the tackle short of the line marker and starts walking back to the sideline. So in that entire sequence, the only thing you can't see is his back pedal off the snap. He didn't come back in after that snap.
  3. I have no problems being excited about his comeback. But I did not anticipate that right away he'd be playing 100% of non-Dime snaps. This is the coaching staff that had Jordan Phillips out there a couple of seasons ago with a torn rotator cuff where there are All-22 cutups going around where he is pass rushing with his arm in a full L. We saw this again with Tre White off the ACL, he was slow and the Bills left him out there getting cooked. Milano looks like he can't use his left arm at more than 50%. He holds it in an L and has to play with a motion restricting brace. He is a weak point for an opposing offense to exploit, and I thought there would be some ramp up here where Dorian would play. The other thought it is - say Detroit, or the Ravens in the Playoffs start running all over the Bills again, if McDermott would ever choose to play base again, does Dorian get on the field? Because he is now Milano's backup, so who do they play at SLB? Is it that a given?
  4. I do think if McDermott fails again in the post season its justified to look around. Problem is that's into the Playoffs, and the good Head Coaching candidates are likely to gone. Now this is big business, and there are meetings that take place behind closed doors to where said candidates could be told to hold out for the job. There are always margins. McDermott is not entitled to Allen's entire career if he's not winning Super Bowls. This is Allen's 7th season.
  5. Yeah the old WGR classic excuse - they're the only team that can do that to us. The numbers were nearly identical coming into the Rams game. I don't know about EPA per yard per drop back per quarter, but yards, points, style, alignment all very similar.
  6. Well he's the Head Coach correct? I mean he's the man with the headset and at any time can veto any of the plays that are being called here. So, he doesn't just get absolved...
  7. Okay man, but there is still a lot to dissect about this game. Fans are right to not just "move on". But let's play the game ... With Detroit, let's see, Bills come out in their soft Nickel, Bernard motioning to Milano as the snap happens on where to line up so he's late getting set (not to mention he's playing with one arm), Montgomery is into the second level with no linebackers in sight, with Hamlin and Rapp having to make the tackle. Goff back to pass, no pass rush whatsoever, Bills play soft zone, 10 yards off every WR, and Taron Johnson gets burned by St. Brown?
  8. If the game is tight late, he's going to make these mistakes. You saw it against Arizona, you saw it against the Texans, you saw it yesterday. His explanation after the game made no sense. GET UP AND RUN THE SAME PLAY and you score with ~ 48 seconds left at worst?
  9. The timeout is going to be the talking point after the game as it should be, but how many freaking times do you have to watch Stafford throw to Nucua on 3rd down before you do anything about it?
  10. How in the world do you call a timeout there?
  11. Yeah that’s what I’m saying What in the world was he thinking!????
  12. 3rd Down - WHO ARE THEY GOING TO THROW TO????? NOPE DO WE DO ANYTHING DIFFERENT?
  13. That’s the terrible part - they’ve largely stopped the run in the second half. But 3rd down you know where he’s going to go.
  14. He’s inactive today - so here comes Cam Lewis.
  15. How do you keep “passing him off” into your soft zone over and over and over again? Who is he looking for on 3rd??????
  16. I think they’ll come back out in the same alignment
  17. This a Sabres level of effort out there right now.
