  1. My favorites: - The more reps in OTAs and Training Camp the better you'll be - Now that he knows nobody is looking over his shoulder he can go out and execute - More time in the system - Doesn't fit the system - The biggest jump is Year one to Year two - Running the ball is more important, after all we play in Buffalo - Need that Special Teams versatility - The only thing we can do is work hard and correct mistakes - We're always looking for ways to make this team better
  2. Remember when Marrone came in trumpeting the same line?
  3. I think by Sunday at 4:00 pm the Beane/McDermott era gets off to a dud. This team can't score.
  4. #BADOL nailed this comparison. As you've seen this Training Camp play out you have to agree with the similarities. - overvaluing special teams - cutting key backup positions like RB and MLB - a parade of fringe NFL talents being brought to this roster - a popgun "timing" offense that can't score - an outdated Tampa 2 defense - the constant mantra of working really hard and correcting mistakes - paper thin depth everywhere, one deep - creating a bunch of holes then trying to fill all the holes in the draft
  5. Obsessed with Special Teams ala Dick Jauron
  6. Well McDermott and Beane are vacuuming up an ex-Panther that comes along.
  7. 17 years Milt. 18 is looking inevitable.
  8. Gerald Hodges - 83 tackes, 3 sacks and an INT. Ripped. Nah let's bring in Vigil who had 2 huge tackles last season. Earn It
  9. McDermott and Beane = Eric Mangini with the Browns. Gutted Winslow and Braylon Edwards, and brought in floods of ex-Jets and Patriots on their last NFL legs. Failed miserably.
  10. The Bills lost the benefit of the doubt about 10 years ago John. Sorry their moves are head scratching and don't inspire much confidence. The GM is spouting off about signing a 36-year old WR and he promptly retires, our backup RB is a 32-year old converted FB, the team just cut its backup MLB for a fringe special teamer. Team still struggled with penalties all preaseason and the offense couldn't score.
  11. No Quarterback, sorry Taylor has been given two years and we've seen he's not good enough. I don't even consider Peterman anything, he is a rookie dump off artist. RB - McCoy is dynamic. After him is a 32 year old, 260 pound FB and two journeyman fringe NFL special teamers. WRs are among the least talented, least deep in the league. Think of the Steelers group, now think of the Bills. Likewise Tight End is a group of mediocre talent. Clay has proven to be average, and after that there is no proven player. Still no answers at RG or RT for the 3rd year in a row now. Better hope Glenn stays upright. A group of unknowns at CB, but mostly cast away players and depth guys behind White. No Linebacker depth, don't understand cutting Hodges. Again best players are on the defensive line. Coaching - McDermott has shown nothing that proves he can Coach. The team struggled with penalties all preseason and his offense could not score. This team has no depth due to years of HORRIBLE drafting, and this regime has gutted a chunk of what talent remained. The Bills always have very poor records against the real teams on their schedule, and that gap is going to grow this year.
  12. Head to head or Conference record? Then it goes to point differential?
  13. Even with their extra picks, there is no way the Bills can fill all the holes and compete for a Playoff Spot before this thing gets to 20 years of no Playoffs. No QB LG is 35 Center is now 31-32 years old No answer at RG or RT McCoy is 29 now No #1 WR The Tight Ends are mediocre Kyle Williams is 34 now Dareus is hanging by a thread Weak Linebacker group with no depth No name corners 1 deep at Safety Rookie HC with archaic offensive philosophy
  14. Why do the fans feel the need to constantly defend this organization. Brandon Reilly made this team as did John Williams. But here in Buffalo we make 31 year old Fullbacks the primary handcuff at RB and put guys who literally have never caught a pass in a regular season game in the WR rotation. Not to mention cutting your backup MLB for anundersized special teams scrub. As long as your an ex-Panther you "earn" your spot with this administration.
  15. Sorry Peterman looks like a classic Buffalo Bill checkdown artist.
  16. 100% right. This looks like a 13-9 kind of football game. Neither team can score. The Bills are among the least talented teams in the NFL, right down there with the Jets.
  17. We get to watch 260 pound Mike Tolbert average 3 yards a carry. Exciting! I love the no-depth idea from this GM and Coach, let's go one deep at every position.
  18. Do not miss Whaley, but McDermott and Beane are not impressive.
  19. This looks like Jauron's last year here in 2009. A pop-gun offense and a small Tampa-2 defense. No better than 5-11. It's looks like a 4-12 football team.
  20. Gilislee was good. Led all RBs or close to it in ypc. I thought the Bills discovered a gem in Gilislee, one of the few good Whaley moves.
  21. I thought losing Gilislee by not upping the tender $700,000 to a 2nd Round was stupid and reminiscent of how they lost Hogan for nothing.
  22. And you'll get nothing but cliches from McDermott.
  23. Yeah end of story except there is no depth behind McCoy whatsoever. Whatever, if McCoy gets hurts then it will help the Bills lose more games which is al that anyone cares about.
  24. Absolutely not. There is no depth at WR or RB or TE. They have really taken a knife to any talent outside of McCoy on this offense. Based on what I've seen, it looks like McDermott has as much imagination as Jauron or Marrone on offense.
