  1. I like Schopp. The day he talked about how overrated culture is is an example of an interesting topic that nobody else at that station would think of. Nothing wrong or inaccuate about what he said there if you don’t have rose colored glasses on. Sal C is the worst. He’s a Bills homer who never calls out bad decisions of the past. Talk about a guy who talks down to the fans.
  2. Yes. It started immediately when Roger Goodell took over. Ive grown out of wanting to attending games (money, weather, fans) but really it comes down to a few factors: 1. The constant rule changes have eroded my interest like NASCAR. The rules they add are increasingly subjective. Refs don’t call what they see, they can be talked into throwing flags by players motioning several seconds after the play ended. 2. The amount of commercials 3. Media spends more time on off the field incidents than the football itself. That started when they were breaking down Cam’s dab dance and RGIII’s socks. Constantly talking about “distractions”. 4. Instant replay 5. The Bills have been horrible since 2000 and watching the Patriots go every other year since then. 6. The hype. Constant slow-mo montages with rap music banging in the background. Maybe this gets some fans hyped, it’s not exciting for me, just get on with it. 7. One more thing I thought of and have become more attuned to - when media and footballers talk down to the fans. They’ll say things like “what most fans don’t realize is” or “what people have to understand is” or “the NFL is a business” like we’ve never watched the game. Overall I enjoy the off-season more. Free agency and the draft. Team building and how GMs think is more interesting than the actual games.
  3. Call it if you see it Ref, not 10 seconds after the play.
  4. Again, this is on the FO to find someone better. For three years the Bills havent been able to find someone better. Jordan Mills is starting again in 2018.
  5. Whatever NFL. Ever year, more rule changes = the less and less I watch of games.
  6. McDermott spoke about his offensive philosophy when he got hired. He said that the Bills have to be physical and run the football because it’s snowy and cold in Buffalo. Always managing field position and down and distance. I think in Year One that held true. One of the more interesting story lines with this team and Allen is why do we need a rocket arm QB if we aren’t going to aggressively throw down field? Will the offensive staff tailor a modern passing game, or does McDermott truly believe in a Jaguars model from 2017, riding defense and running? How much creativity does he have?
  7. Remember when QB guru David Shaw was going to fix the issues of Bills QB past? I think largely guys either have it or they don’t and most times you can tell early on in their career. Good is good. The bar of QB play is low in Buffalo - Trent, Fitzpatrick, EJ, Orton, Taylor, Peterman. I can live through the picks with Allen, but it would be a change to see a Bills QB move the offense up and down the field some and force these Coaches to put more in the playbook than running the ball and dumpoffs because its Buffalo and it’s cold outside.
  8. Good for Mills. And to those fans on here bashing Mills, it’s the Bills who haven’t found a better plan at RT for 3 years.
  9. Yes. He should have been a Buffalo Bill from the beginning.
  10. Brady gets into a lot of people’s head including Adams’. So he picks a weak target (Allen) to bolster his bravado. You’re a Safety. You’re not Ed Reed. It’s nice to think you can will your team to greatness, but we all know you can’t.
  11. If what Coaches and GMs said was true - that evaluation is based overwhelmingly on game film, not the Combine, then Allen would have never been selected at #7. Of course some fans wanted Rosen, it’s logical that they would. Josh Allen is a Bill now so of course the only narrative one can parrot is unwavering support. Oh well, I hope Rosen stinks and Allen is good. Hope Mahomes and Watson stink too. The Bills passed on a few productive QBs to trade up for a guy that had 17 TDs his last year in college.
  12. How could anyone read that SB article and not conclude Allen is a massive projection? His game tape tape is not good enough to be the 7th overall pick. Hes 6’5” with a rocket. By by the way, does our Coach even want to throw the ball deep? Every time he speaks it’s about cold weather and establishing physical nature. Does our GM want to throw deep? Kelvin Benjamin is a 6’5” 250 pound possession WR. Zay Jones who we traded up for is a possession WR. Who is going to get separation and catch all these Allen bombs?
  13. Jay Cutler already explained this guys, no need to workout, he plays QB and you don’t need to be in good shape.
  14. I think it’s fair to say that if what GMs always say about the draft was really true - that’s it’s always about the game tape, not the Combine - that Josh Allen would not have been close to a 1st Round Draft pick. Nothing about his his college career indicates that he is a blossoming Star. He’s here largely for the same reason EJ ended up here. Our GM and HC can’t get Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers out of their heads, so they locked onto a 6’5” 235 pound rifle armed QB and will look to fix his accuracy issues. He has played in cold weather. But it’s eye opening that our GM on his first day of interviews after the draft is already mentioning Cam Newton by name. Leading up to the draft, Schopp and Bulldog had numerous draftniks on, a few liked Allen, but most thought the High first round valuation was inflated based on the game tape. Cosell pointed out his fundamental inaccuracy. How our Coach watched Deshaun Watson’s career at Clemson and decided that he was not worth #10 in 2017 (with the same GM that agreed EJ Manuel was a 1st Rounder after watching his college career), or Patrick Mahomes and his production for that matter, but that Allen was worth the 7th overall pick and trading up with an additional 2nd/3rd is really head scratching. They loved him, but it can’t be because he blew people away with college tape. It’s all potential based on size and arm.
  15. This is a good call. There is nothing around the stadium but a forgotten two lane road with old motels, bars, closed up Chinese restaurants, gas stations. Boston is a live city though. 40 minutes away from Foxboro.
  16. Nashville is overrated in my opinion. When you boil it down it’s one street of bars/restaurants in a small city. Indianapolis has an overpriced zoo, but a nice children’s museum, that’s what I know about it.
  17. His comp coming out of college was Courtney Upshaw formerly of the Ravens. So far that’s been right on. The losing weight to get quicker is a last ditch effort, the scheme excuse is meant to delude fans and coaches and buy time. On draft night Mayock put up tape of Lawson getting stonewalled by Left Tackles and cited his lack of explosiveness. It’s been a spot on critique. He gets mop up sacks and tackles, nothing else. Too slow to play OLB, too small to play on the line.
  18. 2011 at Miami. 35-8. That was the game where the Bills actually had their helmets blown off their heads by Yeremiah Bell. Fred got hurt, Levitre had to kick out to LT. Completely dominated and manhandled. Pushed around.
  19. Julio Jones is a bigger, faster, better athlete. Why do you and other Bills fans do this? You post stuff like Tom Brady says hello, Antonio Brown says hello, like it means something to the here and now. They have nothing to do with the Bills. 4 years in, on his 3rd team, I think it’s fair to call Sammy Watkins an underachiever/disappointment.
  20. Sammy had this big fresh start with the Rams last year. He had one game over 100 yards (106) and in that game he had 6 total catches, most of the season. He didn’t break 600 yards total for the season. He had 1 catch for 23 yards in their Playoff game. We keep waiting for this explosion, but I think he goes to KC and plays second fiddle to Tyreke Hill and Travis Kelce.
  21. Yes. I’ll never root for any Boston team. The fact that Chris “Bulldog” Parker is a Buffalo sports commentator and roots for the Red Sox is a complete joke. Go Cavs
  22. Trading Jason Peters, then having Bills fans tell you what an overweight, fat, bum he was, addition by subtraction they said. It was embarrassing to have Russ Brandon stand up in front of the crowd at the start of Training Camp and say he had no idea where Jason was, that he hadn’t talked to him since January. The other one was hiring Buddy Nix. Again our boy, Russ Brandon, standing up there with Ralph Wilson saying they “scanned a list of names” and narrowed it down to two in-house choices - John Guy and Buddy Nix. Nix was a disaster of a GM.
  23. He wasn’t? His first two games in the league he threw for 400 yards+.
  24. I’m not trying to be lazy or claim that I’m an expert. I didn’t state Cardale was better, just asking the group how is Allen better/different than Cardale? My overarching point/question is? What exactly did Beane and McDermott see in Allen that made them willing to move Glenn, #12, #53, #56? Was it deeper than he’s tall and played in Wyoming before? Admittedly, my opinion of Allen is mostly comprised of “expert” opinion, namely Greg Cosell. I did not watch Wyoming Cowboy games.
