Leg, and he doesn’t have “all the specifics to be honest with you”. The reporter asked him specifically what it was. Hopefully the reporters start to drill down on this, because on this Tuesday press conference they just dropped the subject quickly when McDermott said week to week and leg with no specifics.

I zoomed in on it and watched it a few times. It looks like his heel gets cleated. He takes a few steps after the big plant step which is where a big ligament injury would most likely happen. The corners left foot clips Beasley’s right heel. It’s at that moment Beasley picks his foot up immediately and dives to the ground. Thats why his feet were crossed when he attempted to get up and he stumbled. I know they were looking at the knee though on the sidelines, but he takes several steps after the big plant step so it doesn’t look like a “pop” injury.

Most ACLs that are non contact have a pop, where the athlete lifts their leg mid-play. Beasley finished out the play, but he took a hard plant step with his left leg, I don’t see the knee “buckle”. When he gets up, his facial expression isn’t dire pain, but his legs are crossed as he tries to stand up.

I don’t see a “pop” in the replays, because he doesn’t immediately lift his leg. But he definitely takes a hard step on his left leg, then tries to gather himself for the ball thrown behind him, that looks like the injury to me. And is there significance to when he tries to stand up, he uses his knee to get up and then his feet are crossed.

The Bills should make it a priority to get a real backup QB.
