Still, the team kept him out there with 10:00 left up 38-9 and had Barkley throwing the ball on a night where Beasley had 3 catches for 17 yards up to that point. McDermott can say what he wants about best for the team and all factors are weighed out, but keeping Beasley out there to get 33 yards led to his injury. And now we just plow ahead with vague answers like it never happened. That all these WRs signing are just coincidences. You would think that one of our insiders (Sal, Chris Brown) would know someone in the organization after 15 years covering the team that knows the story on Beasley, but instead they never have any information unless Adam Schefter breaks it for them.

I was happy he decided to quit, he stunk, I never liked that hire or the process the Bills took in interviewing. We were promised a “no stone unturned” search, and what we got was 5-days in Arizona from Bills brass interviewing: Whisenhunt (fired), Lovie Smith (fired), Mike McCoy, Chip Kelly (courtesy interview) and Doug Marrone. He was trumpeted as a fellow New Yorker (Bronx vs Buffalo) and instead punted from the Pittsburgh 36-yard line down by 2-scores in the 4th quarter with a 3-5 record. Obsessed with punting and playing field position.

I think the Bills should keep drafting WR and keep eyes peeled for potential deals. I largely agree here, and upgrading the skill position talent is a big reason for the jump in Allen and the offense in general. So I wouldn’t be “done” at WR, regardless of how this season plays out. From what I’ve seen, Davis has a nose for the end zone, but he’s a 4.52 WR who mostly ran go routes in college. We shouldn’t stop there trying to improve the WR group. And Isaiah Hodgins? Well he’s got speed issues too and has been hurt all year. I like the Bills pushing for Stills and Nelson. Draft another one, and draft a Tight End too.

Beasley was a DNP all week, and once again our reporters don’t press their questions. Will Cole practice today? No he won’t. Then we move right on to a safe feelings question. How about - Hey Coach it’s been a four days now, what is Cole’s injury? On Tuesday you said you didn’t have the details, do you have details yet? Is it Season-Ending? Dude is our #2 WR and it’s non-chalant here.

Why it was tough to be a Bills fan

Because the organization ran like a Mom and Pop shop with things: Promote from Within Scanned a list of Names Cash to Cap Dust-Settler Free Agents Watch the tape and correct mistakes Sleeping when Free Agency starts Marketing guy as GM 70-year old scout as GM 80-year old former Coach as GM Running an outdated Tampa-2 defense with 225 pound linebackers Director of Scouting not living in Buffalo, allowed to keep living in Florida No-Stone unturned Coaching search that resulted in 5-days in Arizona Regionalization of the team by sticking games in Toronto. The Bills weren’t even in the league after Donahoe. They stopped trying completely. -
Me too, there just hasn’t been any information to go on, other than it’s not season ending ligament damage because McDermott talked about Beasley working with trainers and rehabbing. As we can see with Green Bay’s LT, if it was ACL, it would have been reported by now. Hopefully it’s a common knee strain and instead of 3-weeks, Beasley can push it and get back in 2-weeks.

Brown activated from Covid list
Straight Hucklebuck replied to BillsMafi$'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Bills have found the type of WR that most-flourishes with Allen. -
It’s because our media don’t know how to ask open ended questions. They continue to talk and fill in easy escape routes for the guest to take. Instead of asking what is the injury to Cole Beasley, they say something like Is Stills related to Cole’s injury or is it unrelated? So McDermott always takes the evasive, non commital route on the question because our media talk to much and fill with a bunch of and/or statements.

Awkward play, takes a large plant step on his leg leg, as his right leg is coming through his toe catches, he stumbles, then it appears his left heel gets stepped on from behind, it looks like there is where he lifts his foot up in a pain reaction. He goes to stand up, must push off his right knee and his left left/foot was folded under and not straight. McDermott says leg, not knee, Brown calls it a foot injury on OBL, but the trainers were looking at knee on the bench. No idea. If it’s meniscus you’d think that happened on the large plant step.
