  1. I like when Mike Schopp says things like - “what are we trying to figure out here” and then lays out inconsistencies in the Bills approach, or trends he sees in the league. He questions what the Bills saw in Allen or why teams punt so much. It’s the ideas that him and White drive. You dont get ideas from Parker or Simon. They wake up, go to work and recap what happened the night before. I used to like Colin Cowherd because of his original ideas. Now over the years he’s narrowed his topics to LeBron, the Cowboys or Brady, but I’ll always take that discussion over Mike and Mike which simply summarizes the night before in sports.
  2. So that makes sense. You generally like homers. Sal and Murph fall into that category. You don’t like Schopp, and I’d guess Jeremy White, because they actively challenge the Bills and Sabres decisions and logic. I have no idea who Cynthia Frelund is. Sal is generally a homer. He doesn’t fit with fans who criticize the team. Generally he swoops in to defend the Bills. Dickerson was a loud mouth, but part of his schtick pulled you in because the debate was spirited.
  3. Remember when a good chunk of our fan base argued after Watkins injured foot plagued 3rd season that he was on his way to becoming Julio Jones? Still waiting for that Sammy explosion of productivity..
  4. I agree. Coaches always tried to wrangle Randall Cunningham and Mike Vick to stay in the pocket and it just never made them better. Cam Newton is at his best while incorporating the run into his game. I don’t like the idea of drafting Allen for his big play ability and physical talent, just to shove him into a box.
  5. Good with both. Holmes is a fringe NFL talent. Benjamin is going to break down. The Panthers came to the same decision as the Bills: need to get more speed on the field.
  6. What kind of host do you like? Do you like homers - Murphy and Sal give you that. Do you like guys who just roll out of bed and start talking sports - you have Chris Parker and Howard Simon. Do you like you like young hosts - Derek Kramer, Joe Diabase, Brayton Wilson Nationally what hosts do you like? Fox usually has a distinct difference from ESPN. Clay Travis, Mike and Wingo, Dan Lebatard, Colin Cowherd, Dan Patrick, Jim Rome and do on. So you bash Schopp, tell us who’s style you like the most.
  7. So many Bills fans are so hurt by guys like Schopp and Jerry Sullivan. Schopp actually challenges the logic the Bills use to build their teams. If you want pom pom's, just go to Murphy, Tasker or Sal. They will come up with every excuse they can to support the Bills direction. Schopp and White are easily the most inventive and entertaining hosts on that station. No different than Tony Rizzo in Cleveland, or Mo Eger in Cincinnati. They're in the drive home slot for a reason.
  8. Mike Schopp is the best host on WGR. Next is Jeremy. They actually come up with ideas. Simon and Bulldog just parrot off those ideas.
  9. Not sure what happened in spots today with Allen’s arm. He threw a duck on that final throw to Clay, and at the end of the first half. The ball was wobbling and died at the goal line. Great escape, nice down field read, but bad pass.
  10. Good question. Nope, this site has information about the team and the league as it happens.
  11. I think Josh has to hit the weight room hard and squeeze every ounce of athletic ability out of his body. He’s never going to be Drew Brees accurate, or Peyton Manning-like pre-snap. He looks like he will have to get by on broken plays and rolling out of the pocket. To do that he has to build on his frame and try to make rare plays with physical ability.
  12. I find the Texans extremely boring. Their jerseys, the logo, they just look drab.
  13. Then Chris Brown is your man. After blowout losses, he asks questions like Kahari Lee’s blocking today was impressive, have you been impressed with him Coach?
  14. Yet another “veteran presence” that our fans pine for that didn’t work out.
  15. Jalen Ramsey has limited value against a good NFL offense. Oh no, he's locking down my #1 WR. I'll just throw to my other WR, or my other WR, or the running back who leaks out every play. Jalen Ramsey can't stop the Chiefs, or the Rams, or the Saints, or the Steelers by himself. Jacksonville is a prime example of how amazing the Seahawks were to lead the NFL in scoring defense, 4-5 years in a row (2012-2016). Its hard to base your team around a shutdown defense because of free agency and injuries, let alone the rules. Jacksonville is 21.9 ppg allowed, verses 16.8 ppg last year, and Seattle's reign around 15 ppg.
  16. I think the Bills have come to the same conclusion the Panthers did years ago - Benjamin is too slow in today's NFL. "This was more about getting more speed on the field. We've got some young players who we think have some real ability," Hurney told Joseph Person of The Charlotte Observer. "Kelvin was a very good player and was productive for us. It was more getting a mix of skill sets on the field and more speed." Hurney added on 102.5 FM The Fan in Charlotte on Wednesday that Carolina had "too many WRs with similar skill sets". The GM suggested that ridding the team of Benjamin will allow "the run game to flourish" and the Panthers "clear out the box."
  17. Why wasn’t he drafted? 6’1” 224 so he’s a small Tampa-2 linebacker. Still, I think it’s the right area of our team to add depth.
  18. The Bills did all of the above in 2013. They tried to mentor rookie EJ Manuel with a washed up veteran on his last legs on Kevin Kolb. Then when Kolb predictably flamed out, the Bills went into the season with EJ, undrafted rookie free agent Jeff Tuel and journeyman practice squader Thad Lewis. Coached by a rookie HC in Doug Marrone, and rookie OC Nate Hackett who also doubled as the QB Coach. As we saw, across multiple Coaching regimes, EJ was never going to get it no matter who his mentor was.
  19. No I don’t think anything changes if Anderson is here Day One. And I think the Bills made the right move on McCarron. Two days into training camp it was obvious that AJ was a dump off artist ala Matt Cassel and nothing else. We’ve done the whole “mentor” crap with young QBs in Buffalo and it never makes a difference. You can either play or you can’t.
  20. Steve Johnson is the Bills best WR since Moulds left so....
  21. It’s a joke that most fans sided with Doug Marrone over Steve Johnson. I remember fans fans crying about how his erratic routes were hurting EJ Manuel’s development. A 7th Rounder who became a starter and turned down FA to stay in Buffalo was ultimately criticized by fans for not being good enough.
  22. That’s what QB Coaches are for. Not taking up roster spots with 35 year olds who had to be talked out of retirement. And to boot the mentor was ineffective to put it nicely.
  23. I disagree with putting the franchise on hold because a street free agent QB found his way onto the roster.
