Do you like the term “Bills Mafia”?
Straight Hucklebuck replied to Lionel Hutz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The only time any of that I take note of that fan stuff is when the National media has Ray Liotta do a voiceover showing our fans with the mustard and the tables like they know who we are. And at some point I’d like our fans to stop crying on post games shows when the Bills win, or bring up how their Dad died watching the Bills in his chair, or how their brother was an addict and overcame drugs because he watched the Bills. I don’t need to be told over and over again by elder fans to enjoy this because you never know when it will end. I don’t need Nate Geary asking 26 times is this real. We have a good team, we have a good Front Office. Don’t need 25 year old Joe Debiasi, Lou Debiasi and Johnny Simon representing the next generation of fans. More discussions about how to win games and less discussions about where you were in 1990/1991 and pinching yourself and reminding yourself this is real. It gets old, just my opinion. -
Weather is the Bills kryptonite....

I think this Bills have no running game thing is a lot like the Bills have no run defense thing. Singletary is not some 3.2 ypc career runner. He’s an average NFL running back and capable of 4.0 ypc plus. Same with Yeldon. Where the running game has consistently looked bad is on 3rd-1 and 4th-1 where this line gets no push and the Bills lose yards every time. I agree with other fans that state the Bills need to run a smidge more for this game, but I still expect a 75/25, 80/20 pass-run ratio. Daboll has said many times that they trust Allen with the ball in his hands and that’s where they want that ball to stay. For sure Daboll and McDermott are thinking about every scenario and combing through every bit of game film to see where the advantages lie. -
Cover 1 of the ravens game

Really went into the nuts and bolts of how the Bills closed off the edges and middle escape lanes on Lamar and how quickly our defensive lineman beat their blocks and blew up plays in the backfield. -
So the Lamar excuses start????

Oh the old Doug Whaley “open when he’s not open” and the “large catch radius” bunk? Old coaches, old players, saying the same broken phrases. -

Whatever man. -
I disagree with all our fans on Beasley. He wasn’t targeted outside of Allen’s one wide throw towards the sideline, so what replays were you seeing of him limping around? Beasley said himself that he felt much better going into this game than the Colts game. Davis was 100% going into the game and got landed on during his attempt at the TD in the end zone. Looked like he had a Charlie horse the rest of the game. He’ll be out there Sunday.

Bring on the Chiefs. Sick of the little man mindset of hopefully we can get it done, it was a good season regardless. No way, Daboll trusted Allen to gun all game against a the #2 defense on Saturday. The Chiefs have a middle of the road defense. I trust this staff and team to play their guts out Sunday and feel confident.

None of that was being said on Friday. It was nothing but Lamar is electric, can’t be contained, he got that stigma off his back and now can start obliterating teams in the Playoffs, the Ravens want their crack at the Chiefs. -

Yup First Things First switched the narrative to Greg Roman isn’t good enough, Lamar’s weapons aren’t good enough, Mike Vick chiming in about his career almost being ruined because OC’s only wanted to run him. Nick made his usual Josh Allen crack about 10 points total. Then said this game is all about Lamar. On Friday it was nothing but how electric Lamar was. Look at that Titans run. We’ve never seen anyone that fast. Now it’s our OC isn’t good enough and we have no WRs. And maybe Greg Roman knows something. They run a lot because Lamar can’t pass or he’ll throw bad picks like he did in two straight Playoff games? -
Daboll & Allen vs. the Ravens
Straight Hucklebuck replied to transplantbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I LOVED this game plan from Daboll. I wanted 4-wide and 5-wide all night. No heavy formations, no tight formations. Rodgers uses Adams a lot, Allen leans on Diggs. -
The new Elite - Rodgers - Mahomes - Allen

I think Brady still belongs in that club as well. You can’t substitute his understanding of NFL defenses. He had 43 total TDs this year. Watson is right there. And it will be interesting if Herbert can start winning tight games that matter. He’s two years ahead of where Josh was statistically at 22/23 years old. -
Beasley was fine, he didn’t get any looks, but up and down our roster nobody outside of Diggs and Brown caught much of anything last night. And Beasley said in interviews this week that he was much better this week than last week. I know the replay showed Beasley break Humphrey off clean but Allen had already rolled to the other side. Just like the Bills didn’t deviate from their plan on abandoning the run and throwing, they shouldn’t panic and bench Beasley.
-
Absolutely feel the opposite. I said all week the Bills are best in 4-wide Gun with a RB, or 5-wide empty and that’s exactly what they did. And they stuck with it all night. Points were at a premium at this team got the only offensive touchdown of the night through the air. Only Rex Ryan and you believe that the Bills should have lined up and run the ball all night.

Unsung hero: Jerry Hughes
Straight Hucklebuck replied to QB Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah man, the pass rush as a whole looked better tonight. I noticed Attison tonight, Hughes, Trent Murphy made a few plays, all the edge blitzes by the secondary. -
Well a fan just got emotional and Schopp’s ike I never predicted this, didn’t think Allen and McDermott would be in the AFC Championship game, how he doesn’t look at it like most fans and how this feels different to him. To be honest, he almost sounds sad. You don’t hear joy. It’s somewhat sad his boy lost.
