Brown was off for 4 weeks. That’s as much rest as anyone is going to get. He caught 8 balls last week. I don’t get this Beasley isn’t himself talk. He wore a brace and gutted out the Colts game two weeks ago with 7 catches. And last week before the Ravens game he said he was doing much better, and he was fine in that game. He created separation, there are still shots of it. People keep referencing that one pass from Allen on an out route in which he looked slow. The throw was not on target. Just watched the interview from this week of Beasley. No mention of his health, his knee. He’s Cole Beasley and I think he’ll play great.

That’s fine. He may be. I guess my thought all week is we can be scared of the Chiefs, play to stay close, or we can be ourselves and give it all we’ve got. He can’t cover every single WR on the field simultaneously. We’ve always turned the other cheek as Bills fans, always were happy to break this curse or take our morale victories. This Bills team is good enough to beat Almighty KC. And nothing is guaranteed, win while you have the chance. Mahomes has a wildfires worth of smoke being blown his way by the media.

Patricia returning to Pats

They always do, slink back to the Patriots to recoup their image. Patricia won’t get another HC position because of the way he treated his players. -
Yup I agree with this. It takes advantage of the strengths of our WRs. They’re all veterans who understand zones and leverages. Diggs, Brown, Beasley, McKenzie all understand when a corner breaks inside they break outside, when a corner breaks outside they break inside. Diggs, Beasley and Brown all are very good at using speed and quickness to break off their man at the apex of routes and create separation. The Bills figured this out last year in the beginning of the year to shorten the average depth of target and we all saw some 2020 upside in the 2019 Thanksgiving game. But you’re right, the slice a dice routes on slants, outs, hitches, curls, digs, will start opening up longer routes. And the other thing is is, this QB and WR group have become great sideline drill route runners. We know Diggs l, Beasley, Brown can do it, but also Davis as well.

It’s okay to say, I don’t think he thought this is a rookie I’ll play relaxed coverage, I just think Brown ran past him on an out and up by multiple steps. These announcers though, we’ve all said it, they just repeat phrases they’ve heard as truth. Control the clock, keep Mahomes off the field, control Kelce, stop Hill, block Chris Jones, confuse Josh Allen, bracket Stefon Diggs, control the line of scrimmage. None of it is actual analysis. They look at rankings and they say, Mahomes is great, the Bills are from WNY and so we’re going Chiefs. I just want the Bills to give it everything they have Sunday by going 4-wide and 5-wide empty against whatever coverage they get and trust Allen to throw. I don’t want to hear about balance and how the Chiefs are “not good” against the run. Cleveland tried it last week and the only time they moved the ball is when Baker had to throw.

I think they’re referring to the last two games where White got mixed up in coverage against the Colts, lost his man and gave up a chunk play. Marquise Brown got behind him once for a long catch. And I think two more times in that game for would be touchdown bombs that each time were overthrown. Definitely Huntley just missed a bomb in the middle of the 4th where Tre White got smoked.

That's my biggest concern for this game. McDermott pushing too much "balance" into the offensive game plan and trying to run like the Browns did last week.
