  1. What? Allen is going to need a great team around him to win in the Playoffs. He isn't Mahomes. He isn't going to lift a franchise. Allen is down in the mid-50's in terms of completion percentage and is 1.42 TD/Int ratio. He can improve, but Mahomes is in another stratosphere.
  2. I expect it to look like last year. An up and down performance from Allen, around 200 yards passing, 1 TD, 1 Int. The defense keeping the score low so the offense can manage. At least this year we won't have Frank Gore wasting downs at 3 yards per carry. I agree with this.
  3. Absolutely not. Allen is not throwing for 4.38 TD/Interception ratio at a 66% completion percentage. Allen is going to need a great team around him to get anywhere in the Playoffs.
  4. 52 catches last year, 673 yards, 3 TDs? Multiple games (3) of less than 40 yards receiving and three more games below 50 yards? Outside of Week 1 last year, he was a complimentary piece in the regular season. We're all still waiting for this Sammy explosion. And that's with Mahomes, after the Rams didn't resign him with Goff and McVay.
  5. Singletary was productive when the coaches stopped giving the ball to Gore, so I hope they don't forget him this year.
  6. The Bills will be nasty again on defense. Their secondary returns intact. I think the linebacker depth is thin, but Milano (healthy) and Edmunds are back. The only question on the defensive line in my mind is do we get the high-end production at DT that Jordan Phillips gave us? The Bills added depth across the line with Addison, Butler, Epenesa, Jefferson. I don't expect anything out of Trent Murphy, but hopefully the Bills can grind out another year out with Jerry Hughes. I don't think we'll miss one-dimensional Star L at all. On offense, anything Moss gives us should be an improvement over Gore. I'd like to see Dawson Knox take the next step after flashes in 2019.
  7. Yes it was Special Teams holding us back in those games against New England, not the fact that we can’t score or stop New England when we had too. Queue up the Leodis McKelvin take.
  8. Disagree, Lee Smith is a complete liability every time he touches the field. And Jones is a classic no impact journeyman running back who of course plays Special Teams. Better hope we don’t need a cornerback.
  9. Like Lee Smith, he’s another one of those fringe NFL players who stays around because he has this one great skill. Lee Smith is supposed to be this great blocker, he’s a complete liability on the field. And Jones is just taking a roster spot from someone more capable. Shades of Joe Webb with those two choices. Puke.
  10. The Bills decision to hand the ball to Frank Gore while Yeldon sat inactive was the wrong decision. Every down that Frank touched the ball was an absolute waste.
  11. Special Teams man, can they play Special Teams? Because that’s what we’re focused on here. Special Teams.
  12. For the most part I agree. You have Vonta Leach, that’s a different story. But Kyle Williams would have been a better fullback that Pat DiMarco. When he’s on the field it means that someone more explosive is sitting on the bench. The guys that Buffalo has are bottom of the barrel, fringe NFL, borderline good enough, try-hard, lunch pail types.
  13. Murphy can hit the road. He's been a mediocre signing. Keep a younger DE with more juice in his legs. Fromm can go too. If he doesn't have the arm, get him out of here.
  14. Yes, I'm sick of seeing guys like Joe Webb, Joe Klepfenstein, Mike Tolbert, Kaelin Clay, Lee Smith, Ryan Neufeld kept around because they "block" or "they can play special teams" or they can return kicks or punts. They are borderline/fringe NFL players. We don't have time for those type of players anymore. Keep another DE to rotate in, a corner, or a wide receiver in their places. I totally agree with you, McDermott has to evolve. This team needs points.
  15. The Bills got away with only keeping 4 cornerbacks on the opening roster last year, but I agree, banking on the same health this season is not smart. Especially if you find out halfway through the first game that Josh Norman has indeed lost a step or two.
  16. Yeah, I’m sick of hearing about Special Teams. Dick Jauron talked about it, Marrone talked about it, Sean McDermott is obsessed with it. Bottom line is this team needs points, and has needed more scoring ability forever. Keeping garbage 4th string running backs, a tight end below the NFL minimum physical traits for the position, and an expensive subpar Fullback who does nothing at the expense of another WR and/or CB is terrible decision making. Keep a 7th WR instead of T. Jones. Last year we kept three running backs and Yeldon was inactive virtually every Sunday. So I don’t understand how keeping a 4th RB this season will help this team.
  17. Taiwan Jones making this roster is 🤮 Lee Smith still in a Bills uniform is atrocious. Let's get with 2020 and cut Pat DiMarco too. Those three guys add ZERO ability to our team.
  18. Bills management thought he was too old at 31. He went on to play 7 more seasons, starting at 16 games all 7 seasons.
  19. "Russ and I scanned a list of possible candidates," Wilson said. "We didn't know them. I didn't know them. I don't think Russ did. We narrowed it down to two candidates for the job of general manager of football, two in-house candidates." - John Guy (Dick Jauron's failed Pro Personnel man) and Buddy Nix. We looked down the hallway for a GM because 30 years earlier it worked with Polian (who you fired anyways Ralph).
