  1. The Bills defense has survived better than I thought they would without Milano. Getting Wallace back improves the Back 7 in my mind.
  2. Thanks for this. Goes to prove the point that trying to lineup and run over people like Rex was trying to do less than 5-years ago is outdated. There isn't enough of statistical difference to make it exploitable. Field position and "staying ahead of the sticks" means nothing to a team like the Chiefs. Derrick Henry is the exception to the rule here, as he gets massive volume as the #1 driver of the Titans offense. Outside of him, the Vikings are sub-0.500 with Cook, Kamara is more of a WR, Robinson is chained down with terrible QB play. The Chiefs game showed that the Bills interior Defensive Line can be caved in, and our Linebackers are not instinctive enough to fill gaps.
  3. I think the 49ers can still score. With Aiyuk coming back, Samuel and Mostert already back, they are going to move the football. The Bills don't have the same gear offensively without Brown despite Davis' best effort as a fill-in. So a tight game is to be expected, especially on the road.
  4. The fact that the Jets are down to starting a 37-year old running back in 2020 is mind-boggling given the state of offense in the league. There isn't one player out there that be more productive than Frank Gore? Perine is not a real plan either. How can a FO go out and sign La'Veon Bell, and then not make use of him. They drop Robby Anderson, and let the WR group fall apart to the point of Braxton Berious, an injured Jamison Crowder, Chris Hogan, an injured Denzel Mims. Pathetic. This is the least talented set of skill position players I've ever seen in the league outside of the Pat Shurmer Browns. In 2020, with offense reigning king, to have this low of a talent level around the #3 overall pick is astounding. And had they picked 6'0" Baker Mayfield, nothing would have been different because he is not transcendent, so their FO doesn't get that excuse either.
  5. I expected the 49ers to morph into a offensive team after the injuries to Bosa, Ford and Thomas. COVID and further injuries slowed that process. But this team has Aiyuk, Samuel and Mostert, and Mullens is not a cardboard cut out like our backup Matt Barkley. Without John Brown, the Bills passing game loses it's top gear, so I expect a difficult game. Stefon Diggs is going to have to get deeper than 10 yards. The path seems to be going after Nick Mullens and throwing away from Sherman.
  6. Win a Playoff game. End the Playoff Drought that has been going since 1995.
  7. I’d say the Steelers are at the top. They hit on nearly every first rounder for over a decade: 2003 - Polamalu 2004 - Roethlisberger 2005 - Heath Miller 2006 - Santonio Holmes 2007 - Timmons 2008 - Mendenhall (miss) 2009 - Ziggy Hood 2010 - Pouncey 2011 - Heyward 2012 - DeCastro 2013 - Jarvis Jones (miss) 2014 - Shazier 2015 - Bud Dupree 2016 - Artie Burns 2017 - T.J Watt 2018 - Terrell Edmunds 2019 - Devin Bush 2020 - Minkah Fitzpatrick/Chase Claypool You can put that up against any organization. The Steelers hit on nearly every high pick they have.
  8. Allen is not putting up 300-yards+ every week. And you can see the scenario where in the Playoffs he's stuck in the mid/high 100's passing the ball, looking for a playmaker. I think we all look at the Bills and conclude they need to do more work on the Offensive Line, get another Defensive Lineman or two, draft a Linebacker, another Cornerback, and possibly position yourself for a Safety. But Tight End is a black hole on this roster, where you literally get no production from the position group. Keep Knox, but Sweeney/Kroft are fringe targets, and Lee Smith is a borderline NFL player at this point. Interesting thought on an Elite RB added to the squad. As long as we don't add another broken veteran - Gore, Ivory, Tolbert, Yeldon.
  9. Not at all - In fact keep doing what you did in the last draft, keep mining for skill position talent.
  10. Beasley and Brown are both 30+ and 2021 will be the last years of the John Brown deal. As much as I like Brown, he’s been broken down much of this season, and that’s left the door open for him to be replaced with a better player this offseason. When I look at the Bills, we are trying to beat the Chiefs, everyone is. Our shot is to score, the Raiders blueprint. And Tight End is the one position right now the Bills get 0 out of most weeks. It’s just a hole in the roster that would help Allen. And if that weapon grows into a better option than Brown or Beasley, that’s only good. Same as if there is a can’t miss WR in the 1st Round, take them. Allen is not Mahomes, he is going to need all the help he can get to win a chip, but we have the QB that can load up and throw 35 times a game. I’d keep piling on young weapons.
  11. Yeah we can be be patient, but Tight End needs to be addressed in the off-season with a high draft pick. Knox has had the open opportunity to be starter and he hasn’t been reliable.
  12. Jeremy White said it best, recreating the "Patriot Way" really just meant treating everyone like crap and expecting them to buy-in. Players have said it was joyless in that building, being criticized constantly.
  13. I had no problems with the game yesterday. The Bills led all day and the way the game played out, we got a little of everything: Allen hit a 44 yard pass, the Bills scored on a trick play, Moss and Singletary broke off long runs, the defense generated sacks and turnovers.
  14. These commentators, filling up every second they can with noise and hype. Slow motion montages of Brady. Just like the JJ Watt lovefest from last years Playoff game, or the endless sappy Kyler Murray dialogue from Ian Eagle a few weeks ago. The media picks a narrative and they just hammer it all afternoon.
  15. I think this is a story we tell ourselves to make it feel better. I think he would have been great anywhere, right away, sit or no sit. His vision is unrivaled.
  16. We get this story all the time from ex-Bills FO people. We loved Roethlisberger, we liked Jay Cutler, we were going to draft Russell Wilson. But more often than not we’ve picked Sammy Watkins instead of Khalil Mack, or Donte Whitner over Haloti Ngata.
  17. Lawerence is the consensus best QB prospect since Luck in 2012. Burrow proved he belonged, but I agree with others who have stated he might never be the same. If it was a clean ACL tear, that’d be one thing. Tua, for sure it’s too early to tell. He has looked limited in two games out of 4 so far.
  18. From a Coaching perspective he’s missed time twice now with concussions, making 5 documented for his career. My guess is those are taking their toll on his play.
  19. Yeah except the skill level is lower across the board - The pro game is played above the rim, the college game is back and forth passing at the top of the key waiting for a contested 3, holding onto the ball for over 30 seconds a possession. The NBA skill level is higher when it comes to dribbling, driving into the paint, kicking for the open-3, the passing/screens are more efficient. I’ve always enjoyed watching elite athletes play in the NBA, verses the frantic, under the rim game of College.
  20. Steve Johnson ran a 4.59 (40) and he was able to get open on everyone. Hodgins was praised for his route running and hands.
  21. I want the 1990’s uniforms back permanently, with the red end zones. We’ve been on a uniform detour since 2002 and I’m ready for it to end.
  22. Linebacker and Tight End are the two biggest holes on the roster. 3rd is somewhat difficult to pin down, Cornerback, Guard, Safety (Hyde and Poyer are quietly getting older). I'll say Defensive End/Line is still a need. It's old Trent Murphy, Jerry Hughes (still producing), Attison, and a bunch of guys at DT - Oliver, Phillips, Butler, Zimmer and so on. The Bills should also keep adding WR's. Keep developing the skill positions and try to get faster.
  23. So we can hear Ian Eagle fawn over Kyler Murray every play of that game. Like last year, it was as if JJ Watt climbed down a staircase from heaven during the Playoff game.
  24. Tre' White mistimes his jump. He jumps too early, and too far away from Hopkins. He couldn't stay in the air long enough and as the front man this allowed Hopkins to have a clean path to the ball with his hands. On those situations, I never understood why teams don't treat the #1 WR as a gunner and put two guys on him in press coverage. You knew it was going to Hopkins. He's all the have for a down the field WR.
