  1. Nobody gets "wound up". But its undeniable that after the Rams/Cardinals game for the Dolphins, that media lost their minds about Tua and Flores and have been on the love-fest with him since.
  2. But Flores is a genius, the next great young Head Coach according to Colin Cowherd. Chan Gailey was out of football when the Bills hired him in 2010.
  3. Right, he is negative, but he hasn’t been on WGR in years, and he was let go from Buffalo News awhile ago now, so he has little platform. Nobody is going to pay for his content.
  4. If you're a Bills fan, and want coverage, who are you listening to? Howard Simon and Jeremy White - Who are best at what? Morning after reaction? Do either of them tell you anything that you don't already know? Schopp and Bulldog - When he's not wasting segments talking about Lando Calrissian's name, cooking stir fry, or texting "K" etiquette, Schopp is the only WGR host that asks questions about the Bills team building approach. Again, neither one of them played football, so you're not getting any X and O discussion, but at least Schopp asks questions from time to time. Other than that you can listen to Chris Brown spit out clichés from every coach we've had here since Mularkey, or Nate Geary talk about how he's never seen a good Bills team before. Best segments are when Greg Cossel or someone from PFF comes on and attempts to break down how players are successful, or discusses relevant trends in the league based on film study. I know PFF on here is like garlic for a vampire, but at least they watch film and take notes. None of the WGR hosts do that. Nationally, if you love Rome, that's great. His show is going to sound the same everyday, its a brand. Like all the other guys I named, he's been on-air forever and so the same themes are repeated over and over again. As far as this comment, at least Sullivan called out the bad-Bills decisions pre-McDermott, and he went back far enough and had contacts inside OBD that he could back his statements with facts. Fans didn't like him because he was too negative, but 2000-2016 could not be spun as successful regardless of what angle observed. The Bills were a Mom and Pop shop and the rest of the league left them behind.
  5. I listen to a lot of sports radio and on the National scene it's become stale. Dan Patrick has been around forever, and the show presentation on a daily basis is beyond repetitive. Yeah Pauly? Yeah Fritzy? Yeah McKlovin? Colin Cowherd topics are limited to LeBron, Brady, Cowboys, Belichick. Clay Travis' main goal is to tell you how smart he is every single day. And the rest of Fox is a bunch of left over Jim Rome guys from the old days - JT the Brick, Ben Maller, Jonas Knox. Thank goodness Jay Mohr finally left. He was a Jim Rome wannabe to the max. ESPN has lost talent over the years with Colin leaving, Broussard leaving, Le Batard leaving, Mike Golic Sr. leaving, that they have resorted to having Greenberg do TV and radio, Max Kellerman do TV and radio, to band aid together a line up. They now have Keyshawn Johnson and Jay Williams breaking down sports in the morning. How awful. As far as Rome is concerned, his in your face style got old years ago. And he's moved around so much, the only time I see him is on random YouTube clips like his Nate Peterman rant.
  6. Awesome find. Thanks for posting. Mike Pettine used to use the phrase “Graduate Level” details there is so much post snap manipulation here with Allen to make these designs come to life. My favorite Allen throw of the year was the dagger route he threw to Gabe Davis against the 49ers on Monday Night over the head of Warner in between two corners. Now on the other side of that throw was Lee Smith wide open, a nod to Daboll’s design. You saw it in the Gabe Davis TD against the Steelers. Daboll created a pile of bodies on the other side of the field with Knox, who sucked in 3-defenders.
  7. “You seem to think you have some sort of right” ... ... Kind of like this lecture you’re giving me? You don’t like my posting style, yes I tend to be exacting. Regardless, your posts tend to bully and insult when you disagree.
  8. When guys like Nick Wright or Colin Cowherd say it, yes it irks me because in 2018 Allen had a dumpster fire at the skill positions and the offensive line. In 2019 he took a big step forward in reducing the interceptions, staying calm in the pocket. I also think in the lead up to the 2019-season, the Coaching staff figured out that they needed to reduce Allen’s average yards per attempt, we saw this in the Jets and Giants game right away. The Dallas Thanksgiving game they found the right type of routes for Allen’s skill set. He is a direct strike QB in the 10-20 yard range. The Bills relied too much on Frank Gore last year, and it capped top end of the offense. Allen still used his legs to cover for average weapons and an unfinished play style. So they don’t put any context behind it. The entire teams talent level has continued to improve, along with Allen’s talent/work paying off.
  9. “Arrived in town” or otherwise known as been connected to WNY for 38 years. So you shout out my obsession with this injury (even though you found my post that wasn’t directed at you and responded) and now you also know that it really comes down to me criticizing McDermott. You just know it. I get it, all the positive fans over the years, who defended every terrible move the Bills made, feel vindicated now. McDermott and Beane have built a winner and so those type of fans will shout - See! See! The negative fans you guys were wrong. But you don’t get the reverse conversation from those same fans saying, wow, they really weren’t close with Jauron, Gailey, Marrone and Rex. McDermott wins and now is above any sort of critical thinking. You’re simply not allowed to push the issue. My thought was Beasley fills a niche roll in this offense and is our #2 WR in terms of 2020 production. Just find it odd that our reporters drop the subject once they get one evasive answer. Even this interview, the Beasley question is tucked into the last second of the interview behind a feelings question about our Punter. It sticks with me that we might not be 100% for this game, that’s all. Since you’re really good about making assumptions about me, could it be that you’re like all the other fans from 1960 who feel that they’ve earned the right to call into WGR to lecture everyone else on how to be a fan? Kind of entitled to the right to talk down to those who don’t phrase or view things the same way?
  10. Just wanted the Bills to be full strength for the Playoffs and think Beasley matters. Sorry I’m not being a fan in the way you want me to be.
  11. Yup I just listened to it. At least there was a follow up question this time. I have no idea what that hesitation was, he’s rehabbing, so it’s not IR or torn ligaments. He added that we’ll see what tomorrow brings, so not sure.
  12. We have to get the exact wording from McDermott. Was it “no update” and/or did he say week to week again?
  13. It sounds like he is trending towards being done for the year. If practice was tomorrow, he'd be a DNP.
  14. Yeah I agree, take yesterday for example. The 1-15 Jaguars with Mike Glennon played the entire second half at 21-14 with the Colts and forced numerous punts with the Rivers led offense.
  15. My rankings before yesterday from most desirable to least desirable were: Miami > Colts > Browns > Titans > Ravens Colts have the next lowest offensive ceiling to Miami. Browns/Titans could be seen as a toss up, but both secondaries stink. The Ravens have the run game and great talent on defense and have won (5) straight. Definitely want Pittsburgh to beat the Browns and let the Chiefs deal with Tennessee/Baltimore. Let them tackle Derrick Henry or try to contain Lamar/Dobbins for 4-quarters.
  16. He lost games because he routinely sat on leads and went conservative. And the “run game” is perfect the way it is. A support function for a team that leads with passing. Lynn is a Rex Ryan holdover.
  17. I think we can get by the Colts without him. But past that he needs to be on the field. When does McDermott talk to the media again?
  18. Absolutely. Let Kansas City deal with Baltimore/Tennessee, especially Baltimore.
  19. How does he know that, and the injury hasn’t even been revealed? How do we know timeframes, when we don’t even know what the diagnosis is, and if Mort knew, why wouldn’t that have been revealed?
  20. Wasn’t today the day that he could sign after 5-straight negative COVID tests? December 30th (first reported), 31st, January 1st, 2nd, 3rd. This trail has gone ice cold.
  21. Still, the team kept him out there with 10:00 left up 38-9 and had Barkley throwing the ball on a night where Beasley had 3 catches for 17 yards up to that point. McDermott can say what he wants about best for the team and all factors are weighed out, but keeping Beasley out there to get 33 yards led to his injury. And now we just plow ahead with vague answers like it never happened. That all these WRs signing are just coincidences. You would think that one of our insiders (Sal, Chris Brown) would know someone in the organization after 15 years covering the team that knows the story on Beasley, but instead they never have any information unless Adam Schefter breaks it for them.
  22. I was happy he decided to quit, he stunk, I never liked that hire or the process the Bills took in interviewing. We were promised a “no stone unturned” search, and what we got was 5-days in Arizona from Bills brass interviewing: Whisenhunt (fired), Lovie Smith (fired), Mike McCoy, Chip Kelly (courtesy interview) and Doug Marrone. He was trumpeted as a fellow New Yorker (Bronx vs Buffalo) and instead punted from the Pittsburgh 36-yard line down by 2-scores in the 4th quarter with a 3-5 record. Obsessed with punting and playing field position.
