  1. And even this year, sitting Week 17, Mahomes tallied 4,740, 38 and 6. Allen went for 4,544, 37 and 10. So they had similar seasons this year, and of course Allen is going to be the better runner. But Mahomes has been 105+ passer rating for 3-straight seasons, Josh has done it once. I agree with you New Era, despite Allen’s step forward this season, Mahomes sitting at 114 TDs and 24 Ints in his career with a 108.7 rating is thought of as the best QB in the league, not Allen.
  2. That was a game where it would have been nice to have another WR opposite of Adams. The Packers managed to escape the Jordan Love pick, until Tampa. Lazard hurt the Packers in that game. And what stunk was, on Brady's last two interceptions, the Packers went 3 and out both drives.
  3. Brady threw 3-interceptions in that game. The Packers offense was given everything they needed to win that game. They didn't get it done. On the last two interceptions, the Packers went three and out both times. You can split hairs if you're trying to figure out who was better, John Elway or Brett Favre. Two Super Bowls to One Super Bowl, etc. But Brady is now at 10 Super Bowl appearances. There are no more debates, or he just lucky excuses. He is too far past that now. There are no coincidences anymore.
  4. According to Mike Schopp - "I just don't think it matters who the running back is" So who cares? Just bring Singletary and Moss back and run them 4 times a game and put even more on Allen.
  5. Analysts can say whatever they want. Look at the second TD throw to Gronk, a tight spiraled laser. The TD to Brown is a precise pass at the Goal Line. He had 40 TDs passing this year at 43 years old. People who keep looking for flaws or ways to minimize or discredit continue to look bad over and over. 7 Championships with 5 MVPs is not a coincidence. You don't luck into 7 Championships and just happen to play until you're 43 years old.
  6. Did Sal use his patented “what people/fans don’t understand is” line?
  7. I don't disagree with some of this. Sal is not my favorite listen either. I think the thing with Sal is, he thinks he is important. And so when he shows up on a show, he wants you to acknowledge his presence, remember what he told you last week on the show. Sal loves the phrase "and I will tell you". Like Schopp, he can't handle when a caller disagrees with him. You're right about him bringing up his family. I think he works in the fact he lived in Florida frequently. But he does care about Buffalo, the City, the team, the Sabres. He has passion for the sports here. Sal gives more effort in preparation for the show than Bulldog, who acts like a martyr everyday for staying in his attic and broadcasting remote for almost a year now. Howard Simon is another guy at WGR 550 that seems like he rolls out of bed in the morning and does the show in sweatpants with no preparation or studying. Even Jeremy White now can only repeat offense must score 30-points every show.
  8. Think of the career someone would have to have in order to surpass Brady. 21 Seasons. He's been to 14 Conference Title Games out of 21 years (67%) He's been to 10 Super Bowls in 21 years (48%) He wins the Super Bowl 33% of the time. Joe Montana was 16-7 lifetime in the Playoffs. Peyton Manning was 14-13. Brett Favre was 13-11. Aaron Rodgers is 12-9. Russell Wilson is 9-7. Drew Brees is 9-9. Dan Marino was 8-10. John Elway was 14-8. Brady is 34-11. His regular season numbers are over double that of Montana's now. He's had double the career of Joe Montana. When it comes to records, he is going to have them all. Passing Yards will fall next year, he already has Touchdowns. He's played 301 games now.
  9. The key question I have is, does Sal say anything I don't already know?
  10. Chiefs fans have gotten really good at telling you to lay down on the floor while you they talk down to you about what good football looks like. They act like they knew what Mahomes was going to be and actively pitched to the Front Office to select him. Like they were part of the team. Tonight the Kingdom got bullied and now Golden Boy is 0-2 against the GOAT in the Playoffs. No Tik Tom’s of Mahomes wife acting a fool in the club seats on Sunday are there?
  11. While the Bills do need improvements in the Front 7, I don’t think they should totally deviate from getting Allen better weapons, and trying to improve the offensive line. This team could use a real TE, RB, an upgrade at OG, and another starting WR. So Beane is going to have to be a hawk in FA and Draft.
  12. Mahomes was Allen tonight. Running backwards, holding on the ball, constantly being flushed right, running for his life.
  13. Starting to see a lot of Chiefs gear just show up on people out and about. Just like how everyone seemed to be a life long Seahawks fan a few years ago. Because his legacy is long past the point of being in question.
  14. John Brown disappeared this year and played himself out of town. I want Beane to use a high draft/trade/FA resource to bring in an another talented WR.
  15. Edmunds just doesn't play like a guy who has great instincts for the position. He's not a London Fletcher or Zach Thomas. Occasionally, he guesses right and blows up a play. But he hasn't done anything at MLB that warrants a large 2nd contract with the Bills.
  16. He was a receiving monster in the first half of the season, but he lost steam as the season went along with 5 games of 55 yards or less. Get a chain. Nobody cares, you’re another year older and not on a team that is ascending.
  17. I am rooting 100% for Tampa Bay. Chiefs fans have become insufferable, entitled, arrogant, elitists. Mahomes is the darling of the NFL media, the perfect QB. Brady’s legacy as the best QB ever is long established by now. He has every passing record as it is. So I would like to see the 43-year old beat the Chiefs and stain the Kingdom as 0-2 against the GOAT in the Playoffs.
  18. I’ll be surprised if Ford can stay healthy. He was hurt in college with broken leg, hurt as a rookie, and injured again this season. And as a rookie this staff had him bouncing from RT to RG and back.
  19. Well that’s why I said in my first post of this thread, that nobody expects 3rd and 4th Rounders to dominate the league. But should the bar be higher for Edmunds, Oliver, Epenesa? Does either Singletary or Moss look like a full time starter? Knox has the athleticism, but he looks like a player that was never depended on in his college offense. He looks like a #2 Tight End. Davis and especially Bass look like right decisions. But that’s why I think it’s a mixed bag of drafting combined with a lot of free agents to fill in the holes.
  20. I think Beane is an okay drafter. He got Allen right, and that's the hardest in football to get. But many of our high picks - Edmunds, Oliver, Ford, Epenesa, Moss, Singletary have been ok and that's about it. We supplement a lot of this roster in FA. And now, we don't have nearly as much cap space as we did. You want to see a team that drafts well? Look at the Steelers first rounders from 2001 - now. Not just starters, largely top ranked players. The Ravens also draft well. I know the knee jerk reaction will be, but we got to the AFCCG so Beane is untouchable. I'm just saying if you take the emotion out of it, we are okay drafting, but not great.
  21. Chandler81, yes I didn’t say ‘ok’ on a whim. We’re okay drafters under Beane. Edmunds finished Year 3, he’s okay, would anyone argue he’s Pro Bowl? Does he show consistent instincts? Allen is obvious. Oliver is below average at this point? Ford has been a below average OG and OT when healthy. Davis was a hit as a 4th Rd rookie. Singletary and Moss are functional, but they’re average NFL backs at this point. Bass was a hit. Huge leg. Taron Johnson and Phillips have been nice contributors. We can go through pick by pick, but I think we’ve been okay.
  22. Well kind of. The Bills have been ‘ok’ drafters with Beane, but they’ve had to supplement quite a bit of the roster via FA, and that’s always going to lead to pricey veterans. The WR group has been his best work, but we’ve struggled to find much impact on the DLine in the draft or FA.
  23. Because we didn’t a lot against Baltimore or Kansas City, so the natural instinct is to run to the other side of the ship and start investing resources into the OLine and RBs. I’d argue we didn’t really try to run the ball, and Yeldon has been virtually inactive for 2-years. Honestly, has this regime really “gone after” RB? They drafted two guys who both run over 4.60, neither one screamed feature NFL back. And still, who wants the Bills to start tilting back towards a 55/45 pass run split? Like you said, Allen is our best player on offense. Unless we get a dynamic playmaker at RB, running the ball is going to do what it always does, allows a team to hold the ball longer at 3-5 yards per clip. How much do we really want to invest in running backs? Should the Bills instead try and get better Guard/Center/RT play since Dawkins is already extended?
