  1. When has Moss ever been impressive? The highlight of his career is that 42-yard run against the Jets. That's about it. He's a 3-yards and a cloud of dust running back. If he's superior as a pass blocker, we can listen to that argument, but he is not a playmaker.
  2. The second offensive play of the game was a pass to Diggs 2 yards behind the line of scrimmage. That play killed that drive.
  3. I just saw the "Bart:" at the bottom of the screen.
  4. Hey Bart, how about your team the Ravens? Are they frauds too? Also Bart, great analysis, love that perfect 20/20 hindsight. Way to really go out a limb there.
  5. I am happy to see Daboll and this coaching staff getting heat for this. Buffalo media is still going with we ended 13 games last year, meanwhile it’s 2021 and our vaunted offense scored 16 on Sunday. Suddenly the narrative is now, Pittsburgh is really good, but…. we’re unlikely to see a defensive line that good again so fire away. You’re not beating Kansas City (or probably Cleveland) without scoring 35 points. But Sunday wasn’t that. It was a 10-6 ballgame into the 4th Quarter.
  6. Because Moss is a slow plodder, with no playmaking ability and not enough size to be a true bruiser. He’s a classic McDermott running back in the mold of Mike Tolbert, Chris Ivory, Frank Gore. He’s a holdover from McDermott saying we need to be “physical” in the run game. He’s never been an impressive player, and a lot of his nostalgia among fans is being overhyped in his first Training Camp by Joe B. On top of that he’s been injured.
  7. My question to you Shaw is we seem to have a split starting. What I see is a narrative pushed by WGR that offense (Bills no exception) needs to be all passing, no running, unless Josh is doing that too. They scored 501 points last year with that approach, so do it again, look around the league and copy the Cowboys and Bucs. Always aggressive, Howard Simon was mad the Bills punted on 4th down at the Steelers 43 and once at their own 45 in the first half, let alone the 4th-8 and 4th-1 in the second half. Verses fans observing that in SOME situations a bit of balance would not be a bad thing, maybe give Singletary more than 5 carries in the first half and 11 for the game. What is your thought to the 51 passes, 25 runs (9 of them Allen) in the game? If we’re okay with Allen throwing 51 times every game, then maybe what you see is it’s not going to be good enough some Sunday’s and furthermore, it can look ugly at times. The Bills have a mediocre line and no second pitch (no Tight Ends for safety valves, no RB screens, no run game).
  8. The reason this doesn’t happen is two-fold and one feeds the other. 1. Neither host actually studies the league. They don’t prepare for the show, they don’t do actual research. 2. Because 1. is true, they then resort to talking about their day, which includes Failed Bills QB cereals, omelet discussions, COVID policies.
  9. So I tuned into 5 minutes of Howard and Jeremy this morning, it’s still the exact same show they’ve done for 4-years now: 1. Howard - I don’t need them to run the ball more. 2. Jeremy - Any punt is a turnover 3. Jeremy - Stupid golf analogy 4. Jeremy - Makes a Sigh noise, just have to breathe (right out of his daily playbook). And that all the patience I had for that show and turned it off.
  10. The Bills clearly stick to a script: 1. We call the best plays we can. 2. Tip your hat to the Steelers 3. We all want plays back And that's about all you get.
  11. "He knows this, it will be corrected" I'm not sure I agree with Daboll will make adjustments. The Bills OC looks increasingly rigid.
  12. I thought the same thing. Its the whole reason you drafted Bass and let Hauschka go. Because with Hauschka you're limited to 42 yard Field Goals.
  13. He's reckless when he runs. There is no two ways about that.
  14. Because we're the Bills and no matter what you have to throw 50+ times. No matter what we go for 4th down and Allen has to do it, so get everyone in a goal line set and have Allen run it and become the leading-rusher too. The Bills were greedy and out of control.
  15. Fans and media are making this too simple of an argument. The Allen throw 50 times template doesn't work in every game, every situation. We tried to shoehorn it in yesterday and it failed. It's not that we start running 50/50. But our Coaches don't seem to put any stock in balancing out the offense, or adjusting to what is really happening on the field in a specific game. We need our Coaches to recognize what is happening quicker and adjust. We didn't do that. Second play of the game we're throwing -2 yard passes sideways. In the 3rd quarter we're still having Isaiah McKenzie run the ball for -3 yards, then going deep the next play. The result was a chaotic offensive game with zero rhythm.
  16. Singletary was given 5 carries for 18 yards in the first half. What are people expecting him to do with that little workload?
  17. This is correct, but you're not allowed to say this. Any running = bad, all passing = good. 100% agree on Daboll. Two game is a row the other team has shown you that passing every play and expecting Allen to be your leading rusher too is not a template for win in every situation, every game.
  18. I haven’t watched the game again, but upon first viewing I don’t think that was the case. I think WGR has pushed this narrative that Allen should be the entire offense, that any hint of running is bad, and so we’re all disappointed when Allen doesn’t play like a superhero. You have Bass, you skip a chance of a 53 yard FG to try a gunned pass into triple coverage on 4th-8 and the Steelers score. The Bills got impatient and it’s all on Allen yesterday to make tight window throws down the field, when simple passes were working and the defense largely played lights out.
  19. Allen is great on the underneath throws. Diggs was open all day on out routes. Beasley slices underneath on slants and he is open. The Bills OC gets impatient and just wants it all right now.
  20. I just think Kansas City and the Steelers showed the Bills that Allen being the entire offense (throwing virtually every play and expecting him to be the leading rusher as well) is not a copy and paste template for every game. WGR has really pushed this constant narrative that running is to be avoided at all costs, that any running game is bad. Fans are scared to say we should run more, that Singletary needs to touch the ball more, but in this game that was the case. The Steelers got back into this game because our line was being caved in and we kept throwing anyways, and made two horrible calls on 4th-down. Had we thrown underneath and ran some more, I think that's a game we would have won. I don't understand how Singletary gets blame for this game for not running well enough, the guy gets virtually no work.
  21. To the OP, we win that game if the plan was more conservative, we punt on 4th-1 and 4th-8 and run Singletary more. The Bills (and media) apply the same pass first template to every game, every situation and the Chiefs and Steelers have both shown us now that that method can be beaten.
  22. You can’t say this on WGR, for them running empty all game, every game is the only way to win because it’s 2021. I think the Bills hem themselves into this template where every game needs to be 50 throws, no run game, Josh is our leading rusher. Josh is sloppy with the ball when he runs. The underneath outs to Diggs and slants to Beasley were open, but Dabol gets impatient. I think we win yesterday if attempt the 53-yard FG from Bass, and not throw backwards on 4th-1 from a tight goal line formation. But Singletary was not the issue yesterday. He gets no work. This was like fans who used to get on Spiller when he got 3 or 4 carries a game and fans were upset he didn’t average 5.0 ypc. Singletary is not the Bills problem. We have turned into a empty set, throw every play team regardless of how the game is actually playing out on the field. Yesterday our tackles were being abused, so it’s on Josh to be the man at all times.
  23. This was said after the Kansas City game and in the lead up to the draft, the Bills lack speed. Thats why Gabe Davis is important. He’s not a burner, but he has a deeper average depth of target and finds the end zone.
  24. Slants and outs were open all day. Lining up in these tight formations are 50/50 to squeak out first downs. There was no space to operate because all the Steelers were jammed 1 yard from the line.
