  1. I agree with this post, Allen dependent. Sal C has tried to explain why Cook is being brought along slowly, is it him or Coaches, and he just was flat out guessing, because the numbers don’t match up with what he is saying. Practice habits, blocking responsibilities, all I know is he is 5 ypc so far and has potential in the pass game. So I agree, start getting him the ball. Allen needs more help from his OC.
  2. He’s played 7 games. 4 of those games he’s been 3 catches and fewer and 40 yards or fewer. If its not all go’s than what it, because the last two games it’s been 4 catches for 68 yards. I was a huge Gabe Davis supporter, and have said that all last year that he should been playing over Emmanuel Sanders, but it’s been a lot of ankle excuses and low output games. The extra snaps have not translated.
  3. 1. I think the Bills can run decently and choose not to. Devin’s high carry mark this year is 17, last year it was 23. He has with numerous games below 10 carries. The Cook “trust” point is over rated, he has looked fast when given opportunity. On Hines, I think he will be ok, nothing more. I expect 3 catches, 20 yards in a typical game. I don’t see him as a playmaker. 2. Part of the throwing short is Gabe Davis is ineffective on anything other than go routes. And because the Bills refuse to utilize Kahlil Shakir (or Jake Kumerow) then are stuck with little Isaiah McKenzie and we know they don’t trust him as much more than a bit player. Knox could and should get more involved over the middle of the field, I don’t know why they don’t move him around more, other than he has to stay close to help a bad offensive line. Bottom line for me is the Bills don’t utilize their full compliment of players. The pecking order is of course Diggs first, and too often, good players don’t see the ball enough. McKenzie has no package of plays like he did in the past, Knox is not used out of the backfield or over the middle, where are the Gabe Davis toe-tap routes to the sidelines on crossers? Kahlil Shakir looked great against Pittsburgh and the Ravens and then disappeared back to the bench. Dorsey has not been creative enough.
  4. If Schefter was the one who gave the exact diagnosis I’d be right with you. Instead we have Lloyd Christmas from Buffalo saying he knows Josh Allen’s girlfriend and The Lines trusted source talking about a <10% tear and non surgical treatments and PMP shots. I’m with you on the major injury. I don’t think even McDermott would say day to day knowing he’d be asked about that over and over again for 4-weeks, and his arm went limp against the Texans. All of that lines up. But even Rapoport can’t tell you the exact injury. It’s all been covert.
  5. Bulldog and Schopp are insufferable on this today. Schopp saying that we know everything we need to know about this injury. And Bulldog talking about he would sit him out for two weeks. We don’t know anything about the injury. Grade 1, Grade 2, just the nerve, you’ve got Twitter people say small tear, PMP shots. Originally it was just going to be an injury to monitor.
  6. Partially torn UCL and he’s out there with no brace and some tape? Are we down the detailed level that he didn’t finish picking up his helmet with his right hand and run off with it indicating he can put weight on it?
  7. Where are the Bills much better than the Vikings besides Allen?
  8. Even if Allen doesn’t play this week, I find it hard for even McDermott would be saying hour by hour for 3 more weeks. The injury seems much less severe than 2018. Guess you can’t rule anything out with McDermott’s mannerisms, but hour by hour for 2-3 more weeks of media asking questions? Not likely.
  9. McDermott will be on in a few minutes with Sal. If he says anything but “day-to-day” and “we’ll see” I’ll be shocked.
  10. He looks like a safety, small, getting pushed around.
  11. Yeah, you might be right. I wonder if the train is leaving the station on just a nerve popping in and out or irritation. I watched the video before you posted it and it sounds a lot like the 2-3 others that Doctors put out. For me, we just don’t have any details. If it is strained, how badly? That guy on Twitter said “partial tear” but then repeated that line about trying to play through it. But based on the videos it just doesn’t seem like any kind of tear is something this team would let him play through. So mentally I am just kind of moving on, it seems like we are drifting to a multi week injury. The videos of the sleeve don’t make me feel better, it makes me feel he is further away.
  12. We just have so little to go on with this, and haven't heard from Allen since Sunday. We know it's not nothing, he isn't practicing. So the best case scenario based on all reports is a minor Grade 1 sprain that keeps him out a 1-2 Weeks. The initial Rap report was he was going to play through it, but it doesn't seem likely if his not practicing at least in a limited fashion. But nothing even close to a real/authenticated update on the actual injury, past the first couple of Twitter people saying it's "partially torn"
  13. Allen has an understood and well documented injury. Its 2022, humans have all sorts of imaging devices at their disposal. When he is healthy to go, he goes.
  14. See this is where all the insiders fall short. They all got word from the national guys about the nature of the injury. But they have no update past the initial diagnosis that was thrown around. Like today, is there any swelling? Have they continued to take images, and if so, what have those concluded? The guy who said it's partially torn, well I assume he still knows Josh's girlfriend, have the texts about his elbow suddenly stopped? Case looked horrible in preseason. He looked small, and like a guy that was just happy he thought he'd never have to go in. Nice job Buffalo Bills media lately trying to pump him up, and talk about his Minnesota days, but he looked horrible the last time he was in.
  15. If it was an ankle, or shin bruise, or non-throwing shoulder then it wouldn't be as worrisome. But, this is injury #2 to throwing elbow. Josh's game revolves around the power in that right arm, so the worry is degrading that arm strength. In a sense I do agree Irv that the coaches most likely will run the ball more, and I am not complaining about Cook getting more touches, but the defense also knows that, so some of the possible benefit could be potentially masked.
  16. What is this take based on? McDermott didn’t say anything, but he said the medical was day to day.
  17. I just think that the reporting on this has been pretty consistent from the beginning. Rap and Mort said it was believed to be a minor strain Sunday night, and they expected limited practice participation and monitoring all week, but the plan has been to play through it all along. I guess we could say McDermott has embellished “day to day” in the past, so I see at most he sits out this week and is back next week.
  18. I’d forget Hines. Singletary 12-15 for this game, Cook at 7-8. Hines, I don’t really see where he fits out there and don’t want him taking snaps over Cook.
  19. Yeah so McDermott isn’t going to get remotely specific on the injury.
  20. I am closer to ProcessYaDigg on this. The Bills can run the ball with Singletary, they choose not to. For all this concern about trust and Cook, he's been fine when given chances.
  21. Yup, Chiefs aren’t going to give the Bills a gift #1 seed.
  22. 1-2 weeks is best case, 2-4 weeks is more likely if there is a tear. That is what the sports doctors who have talked about this have said. But the consistent speculation on this from the beginning is that this injury was not a severe as 2018, hence the playing through.
  23. I don't see how this lines up. In 2018 he immediately had to leave the game, and there was no talk about "small tears" or sprains. He was quickly ruled out for 4-weeks, and when he came back, I don't remember him being limited. In fact, I remember Week 17, him tearing up the Dolphins as a precursor of what is to come. Worse case, he sits out 4 weeks, and we lose all 4 games without him. You're 6-6 with 5 games to go. Josh gives you a fighting chance.
