Pass catcher is still our #1 need
Straight Hucklebuck replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Bills did the bare minimum this offseason. Diggs Davis Deonte Harty Trent Sherfield Shakir And Beane turned that into: Curtis Samuel Amari Cooper Keon Coleman Mack Hollins Kahlil Shakir Best WR draft since 2014 and we end up with a jump ball who runs a 4.61 and can’t separate. Beane sat up there smug after the Draft, so proud of his 3rd Round pick, he’s put this team in a position to have egg all over their face again tonight. -
Is it time to move on from McDermott?
Straight Hucklebuck replied to Monty98's topic in The Stadium Wall
I stand by what I have said all this year. McDermott gets next year to win a title or he should be fired. Allen is 29 next year. Half of his career is now gone. McDermott is not entitled to the rest of Allen’s career. Neither is Beane. -
Yup - called into WGR the Monday after the Draft and said verbatim “I have stopped believing this team will ever do what it takes to build an offense around Allen”. And here we are in a big game and Mack Hollins is your leading WR. Our GM gave the middle finger to this fan base by trading with the Chiefs and allowing them to get the player they wanted for a pick swap. Then sat at the podium and was like what’s the big deal? Why is everyone mad? Keon Coleman is not a useable player because he is blanketed, he’s worse than Gabe Davis if that’s even possible. But so glad we got that 3rd Round DT from Duke University who was inactive all post season. Best WR draft since 2014 and this team ended up with Keon Coleman. I don’t want to hear from Beane ever again, he’s proven he can’t build enough around Allen to win Championships. - Stefon Diggs - Cole Beasley - John Brown - Emmanuel Sanders - Jamison Crowder - Deonte Harty - Trent Sherfield - Curtis Samuel - Mack Hollins - Amari Cooper Another year of Allen wasted, next year he is 29.

I totally agree - years of your career will tick bye. Look at the Lions, you better win when you’re there. -

You look at that formation and it’s like AJ Brown single covered on the outside - WHERE is Hurts going to go? Everyone in America knew where he was going to go. -

I think what Oliver said is true - it’s going to take everyone. The Bills haven’t leaned too hard on one person to carry the load on offense or defense all year. Balance has been the theme of this thing all year. -

According to the experts noted above the key is the Chiefs run game: 24th per game (102.2 ypg) 31st yards per attempt (3.9) 25th percentage of offensive yards (31.74%) 23rd rush play percentage (41.37%) 19th rushing first downs per game (6.2) 15th rushing touchdowns per game (0.9) 19th rushing attempts per game (26.2) 18th rushing touchdown percentage (36.36%) Do these people even think about what they say? The KC run game is the key to the game, yet Rapp being out is too much to overcome? Unless they were banking on Rapp making 12-tackles tomorrow with 4 TFL as an in the box Safety crashing on every run play? The key is of course to contain the death by 1,000 cuts passing game of the Chiefs by tackling as evidenced by them being 9th in plays per game (63.4), 8th in completions per game (23.3). Bernard, Milano and Williams need to cap plays at the 2nd level. The Rams exposed the worst the defense could look - a power armed QB just cooking the Bills in zone first, and then man. The difference needs to be that Babich has figured out some aggressiveness is needed. He said they were going to lock themselves in a room like they did against the Ravens and come up with a gameplan and specifically mentioned Kelce. -
Belichick believes Kelce is the Chiefs offense

Reception Perception correctly identified that the Chiefs threw in the towel trying to make Worthy a real WR, and instead he has the WanDale Robinson gadget playbook. -

Right now it looks like we’ll have 10/11 starters on defense, and 11/11 starters on offense.
