I totally agree - I also just love how natural Beane is in these settings. The joke to Sal about getting him the $20 for a football question was just so natural and well timed. They said a bunch without really saying anything and got Cole out in front to begin to get this behind them. Smart. It makes me really appreciate this FO and staff getting everyone ready - including Cole to take this on, button it up, and move on.

Giants cut Kelvin Benjamin for what??
Rochesterfan replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
These are the 2 relevant quotes. It sounds like they asked him to lose weight - he did not and they cut him. The biggest thing though seems to be this was a GM decision to bring him in over a coach that didn’t want him and this was the coach deciding I am showing the team who is boss. Guys come in overweight every year and if they pass their physical and conditioning drills - do not get immediately cut. This reads more like a big 🍆 contest and Joe Judge wanted to show the team and GM who is in charge. -
Giants cut Kelvin Benjamin for what??
Rochesterfan replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Maybe - we have this vision now - his lack of separation from defenders could make him an All-Pro tackle. Can you imagine if his orbital pull sucks in every defender and prevents separation- now we are getting someplace - the ultimate blocker. Giants are making a “HUGE” mistake. 😂 -
Who took over Thad’s account? Come on - someone hacked him - which of you guys did it? 😂

remember Kliff Kingsbury playing for our Bills?
Rochesterfan replied to Sugar High JA17's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well he is a big, red dog - probably likes lots of things like pineapple on pizza, the smell of other dogs butts, bad coaching, etc. -
Bold predictions - Bills training camp & roster

Denver with those WRs would be a great landing spot for Daboll. -
Who should be our #1 RB? Singletary or Moss?
Rochesterfan replied to PrimeTime101's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Prefer neither - I think they should utilize them as needed as part of the game plan for the week. I like both Moss and Singletary and prefer to have Moss going against heavy blitz teams to pick up attackers - want Singletary against teams that play off more - I think even with his struggles he is better than Moss on pass routes. As far as running either is fine - both have strengths and weaknesses depending upon blocking scheme. -

How can someone with a post like his first one welcoming our new reporter - still be around to start a thread like this. What a winner. 🤦♂️🤮 -
I believe that both Watson and Houston know that Watson will be the starting QB at some point this season for Houston because the trade value is not there. I also think that the team wants to make it look like to the fan base that they are looking at trade options because Watson seems toxic in the community. I think they are just trying to find optics to get through the first few days/weeks until everything settles down.

Who made Who in 2020? Allen vs Diggs
Rochesterfan replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes I included completions for both and yes without Brady they had to run more, but they were significantly less successful through the air with Cam. I would also argue that I think with Brady last year - the Pats had a good shot at the playoffs. Cam had 5 games with the ball late in the 4th quarter to drive to win games and lost them all - including the fumble in Buffalo. If Brady - who is known for winning those types of games - wins 3-4 of them - they are better than Miami and have a great shot at a wild card rather than the losing record. Cam also struggled right before half and they had a game in Denver I believe that went from a lead to a 10 point deficit in the last 2 minutes of a half because their QB was inaccurate. I think the difference between Brady and Cam is about 4 games making NE potentially 11-5 last year. I am glad he moved on. -
How Many Games Will Packers Win Without Rodgers?
Rochesterfan replied to Gugny's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It was an after work get together - the only nice thing was we could drink while making pizza and then got to eat pizza. It was better than the year we did painting with a twist - where we could drink and paint. The drinking is the important part of the team building I think. Just do not take it to far like tailgating levels. 😂 -
I doubt it and in reality - this seems like Houston trying to regain some control as I think they were hoping he would hold out on his demands to never play in Houston again. Since he is going to report and his crimes seem bad - they will offer up - yep we are looking to trade him, but I don’t think it is sincere- just makes a better headline. We are letting him come in and looking to move on - rather than the truth - he is most likely our starting QB until something else drops.

I think 5 or so wins. Just an FYI - the outer edge of a pizza crust is called the Cornicione - I got to learn that in a pizza team-building class we had to do a few years ago. It is also more important than GB without Rodgers as they become irrelevant without their QB. -
Who made Who in 2020? Allen vs Diggs
Rochesterfan replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
100% agree - I actually think if they would just embrace his strengths even more - they could be a better team. I thought Harbaugh was going to do that, but they have strayed more and more trying to get better WRs on the outside. Their strength is running and TE play - embrace that and supplement with big bodied WRs that can catch routes toward the middle. -

I totally hear what you are saying, but I think you are looking at things backwards. How did Brady do without those Allstars - well in NE in 2019 he threw for: 3961 yards on 378 completions 25 TDs and 9 Ints His receivers were Edelman, White with support from Dorsett, Burkhead, and Sanu. In 2020 - with similar WRs (Meyers, White, Byrd, Harry, Burkhead, and Edelman for part of the year) - the Pats QBs threw for: 2890 yards on 283 completions 12 TDs and 14 Ints So back to the original question - no Brady could not be Elite - Super Bowl level with those WRs, but he did significantly more with a really bad WR group than Cam did the next year with slightly more talent. I think NE is another example of how important QB play is. Without Brady the NE passing attack with subpar WRs was not good at all and with Brady and subpar WRs - the passing attack was pretty good. The biggest difference in NE from 2019 to 2020 was at QB and it cost NE games during the season and overall gameplay. -
Yes - the Texans will get relief, but they have to “save the space” in case and when he is removed from the list. They may at any point suddenly find that they need 35 million in space or risk losing Watson for nothing. GB has the same issue - if Rodgers “retires” it opens up space, but they need to ensure they have enough at all times or he could “surprise” un-retire and force you to clear cap space immediately or cut him and that is something they can’t do.

Who made Who in 2020? Allen vs Diggs
Rochesterfan replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Take it 1 step further - go back to 2019 - both Cole and John Brown as the new #1 and #2 had their best years in the NFL with Allen throwing them the ball. So if you combine 2019 and 2020 - 3 different WRs have career years with Allen and 1 WR had a career year in 2019 and improved it in 2020. When over the course of multiple years - different WRs seem to “break out” and have the best years of their careers - it is the QB and OC making them better - not the other way around. Diggs was a significantly better target for Josh than anything he had in the past, but Diggs did not make Josh - Josh has made the WRs look better each year and his talent afforded Diggs the opportunity to have the best year of his career. Now this year should be interesting because you have 3 WRs to feed and all 3 can get open and I don’t think all 3 can put up career years, but my guess is they will all put up big receiving numbers. -
Players are not suspended for skipping mandatory minicamp. Players also had most fines rescinded for mandatory minicamps in the past - so not a good equivalent. But if that works for you - fine - is it insane that the NFL fines players for missing mandatory minicamps? My goodness. This statement is just idiotic. You stated the fines and suspensions were insane and I gave you an example of another situation where some players disagree with the agreement and the NFL has fines and suspensions in place.

So think of it another way. Whatever you need to understand. There are bargained rules to follow and those rules are different depending on vaccination status or drug status. It doesn’t have to be pot - it could be PEDs or a drunk driving indictment, but any kind of entrance into the drug program creates 2 different classes of athletes.

Cleveland Indians announce their new name: Cleveland Guardians
Rochesterfan replied to YoloinOhio's topic in Off the Wall
Its Baseball - you already have dumb names like Red Sox and White Sox - Cleveland Baseball - should have capitalized on the football popularity and gone with: Cleveland Brown Sox - perfectly fitting for them.
